Some employers are starting to tack on a $20 to $50 monthly surcharge to their unvaccinated workers, according to a health benefits consultant group.
“Employers have tried encouraging employees to get vaccinated through offering incentives like paid time off and cash, but with the Delta variant driving up infections and hospitalizations throughout the country—at the same time that vaccination rates have stalled—we have received inquiries from at least 20 employers over the past few weeks who are giving consideration to adding health coverage surcharges for the unvaccinated as a way to drive up vaccination rates in their workforce,” Wade Symons, with consultancy group Mercer, told Forbes magazine on Aug. 8.

Very illegal.
Check your paychecks and prepare to sue them into oblivion! If you end up owning the company, you can make your own rules.

Law suit time. Ask for refunds, interest, pain and suffering and anything else your lawyer can come up with. If this nonsense about the shot isn't stopped, this type of behavior from jobs and the government will continue with every part of our lives forever.

This is a step to the state telling you what your medical treatments will be. You won't decide. Welcome to the Josef Mengele wing of the hospital.

That $50 deduction is going to cost these morons a whole lot more than $50 when all is said and done. And I'm not talking about the employees.

It sure seems completely illegal but shall we add this to the list of unconstitutional, illegal things being done to innocent people? It does not get much worse than what is happening to the unfairly jailed in solitary confinement in D.C. right now for five months.
Yes #3, you took the words out of my mouth.
I heard from two Texas nurses this morning. The bullying pressure coming at each hospital employee to submit to the shots is growing more intense. Hospitals rely on federal money and they are being threatened, I am certain. Both of these nurses are now being badgered by family. They are watching family and friends give in to a shot just to make the nagging stop.

The Delta Variant only comes from vaccinated people. So, the more people who are vaccinated, the more Delta variants there are.
If you have second thoughts about getting the shot, Pine Bark extract is supposed to help.

Deducting employee's pay is equivalent to extracting fines. It's bad for employee morale. It gets employees thinking of ways they can safely and subtly commit sabotage.

So if an employer has a problem with the personal medical decisions of an employee, decisions which I'm sure HIPPA regs make private, he can withhold monies earned? That's not the same as making vaccination a prerequisite for employment - which I would support as his his good right if he wants to go that way. But by this article's logic I can decide that any employee who has had/won't have an abortion, or has had/won't get plastic surgery will/won't use antibacterial Dial soap gets his/her pay cut? Because those are private decisions too, aren't they?

After being coerced by the employer to taking the experimental genetic modification of your body, if it does permanent damage is the employer legally liable? Do they make a guarantee of restitution before hand, or is 100% of the risk on the employee?

For a number of years I've been saying that in my lifetime we will see back alley health clinics. Brave medical personnel who will treat the elderly, infirm, handicapped and/or mentally challenged. To make sure they can evade the 'death' sentence imposed by our government that will deny them the treatment and medicines they need.

O.K. sounds right to me. Of course, only if they start deducting $50 from anyone with AIDS or are HIV positive. Those diseases are also caused by behavior choices.

Are we to expect the $50/month punitive fee to also be deducted from the illegals collecting welfare? I didn’t think so.

Employers are not allowed to deduct things from an employee's paycheck unless the employee authorizes (agreed upon benefits co-pays) or there is a court order (garnishments, child support, taxes). A sudden additional deduction as a punishment for not getting a vaccine does not seem to fit into the above categories.

Did not the word sabotage originate when formally productive workers threw their wooden shoes (sabots) into the production machinery because their employer was doing something they didn't like? Think of simply following your companies rules. Particularly the new ones - where you are supposed to report any incidents of harassment or discrimination of any kind. Or any safety violations. Like, "I saw the CEO staring at her butt." "The CFO exposed himself in the bathroom and looked at me suggestively. I no longer feel safe at work." "The fire extinguishers have not been checked at the intervals required." "It smells like mold in here." If you are near retirement - "The boss was talking about getting new blood in here in front of me." Lots of fun is still possible at work. Just make sure you get your complaint in first. Then be sure to protest anything negative as retaliation.

Why stop with a non-vaccinated surcharge? How about surcharging all sorts of behavior that might cause a medical need. Smoking, drinking, motorcycle riding, having sex with the opposite gender, having sex with same gender, being overweight, erc

Social engineering by the government but not BY the government. The willingness of many employers to swallow the Kool Aid is scary. I wonder what will happen when Biden makes vaccination a requirement to receive any form of government benefits, income tax returns, federal contracts renewed, get a government backed home loan. They will also pressure states to do the same. Want to renew your driver's license or vehicle registration, get a marriage license, get any state benefits, unemployment? Better present proof of vaccination!

What's next? If the employees don't vote the way the company dictates, can more money be deducted from their paychecks?
