New York City will mandate proof of vaccination to enter certain indoor businesses — including restaurants, entertainment venues and gyms — and deny entry to those without a jab, Mayor Bill de Blasio will announce Tuesday. The initiative, to be dubbed the “Key to NYC Pass,” marks a significant escalation of the city’s efforts to curb the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases driven by the Delta variant, and will launch in mid-August, according to de Blasio administration officials. Enforcement will begin in September, following a public service announcement campaign, administration officials said.

The pathological need of dems to kill off their host never ceases to amaze me. People have learned to live without what you are denying them. Your city has barely opened back up, and now you want to finish it off? Well, nobody ever said dems were smart, only relentless. Au revoir, NYC.

"Zeigen Sie mir Ihre Papiere, bitte". Straight out of Nazi Germany. Now in the Big Apple. Travel passports to negotiate American streets. Just what Dementia Joe ordered.

Reason #6,489 that I will almost certainly never visit NYC again.

Badges? We don't need no steekin' badges.
I would treat any business that plays this game just like I do any business that puts up that stupid 'no firearms' sign for those that carry. Never patronize them again.
Someday, this thing will be over, and you will want me back as a customer. I will remember, and you will never see another dime.

If I lived in NY, I would be calling the Uhaul place.

#6, they have been out for months. Seriously. I was helping to load an antique aircraft restoration project into a large UHaul truck in central Virginia last winter. We had a great deal of trouble locating a large UHaul truck, and were told repeatedly by UHaul dealers "they are all going to NY area now, we can hardly keep one on the lot".

Good. Then those that are not vaccinated can stay away from the vaccinated covid spreaders.

Papers? Heck, it'll be just a short while and we'll be getting a tattoo instead of carrying "our papers".

Imperialism is alive and well all across the country. Mandates are not laws.

What is a mandate exactly? You just tell people to do stupid things and they just go ahead and do it?

This is just the proverbial beating of the dead horse. NYC died last year. Seems that DeBlasio and cabal just don’t know it yet.

FTA: "'If you want to participate in society fully, you’ve got to get vaccinated,' de Blasio added." Some will say, "But that's illegal." Tough nuts, Untouchables. You have the liberty and freedom to take a sketchy injection for no good reason, or upend your life and move.

People can eat, drink and party at home. Killing bars and restaurants will not bode well for NYC's recovery. I think of it as a crime-ridden liberal pest hole and have no desire to set foot in the place.

There will be no id card which can be faked. The id will be on your phone. I haven't had a phone in twenty years. Better invest in cell phones.

Discrimination for a medical condition is illegal. Or used to be when we were the US.

I have no desire to ever visit NY again ( I was born there and worked there) but watch out for creeping mandates. The MSM will report cases are down after the mandate and other states/cities will follow suit. Checking proof will be a flustercluck at the doors, though. Embedded chips would help.
