DOJ indicates it might sue states
returning to pre-pandemic voting regulations

President Biden's Justice Department warned states on Wednesday that they could face legal action in rolling back COVID-era voting procedures. "The department's enforcement policy does not consider a jurisdiction’s re-adoption of prior voting laws or procedures to be presumptively lawful; instead, the department will review a jurisdiction’s changes in voting laws or procedures for compliance with all federal laws regarding elections, as the facts and circumstances warrant," reads a document released by DOJ. It proceeds to outline a long list of statutory protections on voting rights, including those surrounding mail-in voting.

Go ahead. You have no standing whatsoever. The Constitution clearly spells out who is responsible for setting voting laws, and it isn't the DoJ or the Federal Government.

Interesting strategy by the homunculus Attorney General Garland. File lawsuits against states who change back to rational election rules, lose, appeal, asking for a stay on implementation of the rules, drag into the 2022 mid term elections using the Kung Flu rules, win, repeat for the 2024 election.

More and more you will understand why this admin is hell bent on making the US constitution a moot point. This stab at its state's rights section is clearly in the way of their rampaging goals. We have finally reached the point of a serious internal quest to institute dictatorial rule. Biden really has little to do with this, in my estimation, as it is coming from those in his orbit. Ole Joe has not a clue what is taking place by design from the commie presence of AOC and her ilk as well as Pelosi and crew. I've only been around 70 plus years but to me it's pretty damn plain to see.

So, they are attempting to intimidate voters, huh? Any rules, or changes made during emergency powers to accommodate a pandemic, should not be considered set, or settled, but that seems to be what they are hoping to demand. This is nothing more than their attempt to use Federal powers to gain what they can't legislatively, and it likely unconstitutional since each State enacts their own voting rules and laws. Would seem an abuse of power.

The federal government provides tens of millions of dollars each year to a nonprofit group that supports the movement to defund police departments and dismantle the criminal justice system. Officials with the Brooklyn-based Vera Institute of Justice have urged the government to "radically dismantle" police departments in order to fix a system they say dehumanizes people of color. The institute is heavily funded by the federal government. So far this fiscal year, the Department of Justice, Department of Health and Human Services, and other agencies have awarded the Vera Institute more than $89 million in contracts and grants.
