When it comes to political and social demonstrations during the Tokyo Olympics, 2021 is the year of women. Female athletes have attracted the spotlight on the international stage by championing racial equality and taking ownership of what they wear during competitions. "Historically, we've seen the role of patriarchy sort of supersede ... the voices, lived experiences of girls and women on the Olympic stage," said Akilah Carter-Francique, executive director of the Institute for the Study of Sport, Society and Social Change at San Jose State University. The best way a women can represent herself is to win. My past next door neighbor did just that in Mexico City over 50 years ago when she won 3 Gold Medals. First women to achieve that. (Debbie Meyers) On the other side of our place was another soon to be famous women. Her name was Barbara Klein. Got into acting (Hee Haw) and met a guy name Hugh and changed her name to Barbie Benton.

Ratings for this year's Olympics are at record lows. This is exactly why!!! People want to watch sports, not a bunch of ugly women getting political and shoving it in their faces (and, as a woman, I fully agree -- I don't want it shoved in my face either)!!! Sadly, other than gymnastics, figure skating, and beach volleyball, people have very little interest in watching women's sports (and I'm pretty sure beach volleyball will lose it's fans if it changes uniforms as some of the feminazis are trying to push). Everything else is usually a pale shadow of the men doing the same sports. I have the strange feeling that NBC realized that they are losing their shirts with this year's Olympics and are doing anything to try to dig up some support -- any support!!!
