Disgraced lawyer Michael Avenatti had a tearful day in court on Monday as he was sentenced to 30 months in prison for attempting to extort footwear giant Nike to the tune of possibly as much as $25 million. Avenatti had previously been in the public light as a lawyer for representing porn star Stormy Daniels in her failed lawsuit against former president Donald Trump. Ironically, Daniels herself is now also claiming that Avenatti defrauded her, and has also had charges brought against him to wit, according to CNBC.
You got off lucky, scuzzbucket. I would have thrown the book at this greasy puke.

What did he actually do . . .? I know he was guilty of extortion but based on what? How was he trying to extort Nike? Doesn't say in the article.

Isn't this the guy the marxists we're going to put up as their next big hero a while back? Install him as President or something?
I guess with him being too scummy even for the left, they had to fall back to plan Z after the other 25 plans failed and put in Joe.
At least he's easy to control since he has no idea what's going on.

Just think; we dodged a bullet when this guy failed right away in his presidential bid. Instead, we got Sleepy Joe. 🙄

July 8, 2021:
"Prosecutors sought an eight-year sentence on the recommendation of federal probation officials"
U.S. District Judge Paul G. Gardephe
More from Paul The Puke:
"He noted that Avenatti had long showed no remorse, contrition or accepted responsibility for his crimes until Thursday, when he expressed “what I believe to be sincere remorse.”

I'm seriously wondering whether it might have been better to have Mr Avenatti in the White House now as opposed to his fellow criminal extorter, Joefather Biden. Just sayin.'

Well now he’s fully qualified to be a dim candidate and office holder. Bi.den hasn’t completed his qualifying exercise yet.

Crocodile Tears, Kabuki Theatre.
This piece of Filth will very likely be free while his case is being appealed (for the next 20 years).
I predict he'll be back out on the street in less than a week.
By the way, this piece of excrement was Stormy Daniel's lawyer. Didn't he cheat her out of a bunch of money, something on the order of a few hundred thousand $$'s?

This is only one of many crimes. He made up countless lies about a sitting President. He embezzled from several clients, including a severely handicapped man. He bankrupted the Tully's coffee chain, costing hundreds of people their jobs. That's all before defrauding Stormy Daniels.

Remember when he was held up as the Trump slayer? When he was done, Trump would be bankrupt and behind bars.
How did that work out for you??

Hey Mikey - you might want to take some of the money you stole over the years and invest in some soap on a rope, and a new pillow to bite. No need for you to cry; you will be quite popular in the joint.

Oh he'll be back. If President Trump runs, he'll be out in time to start running his mouth and become the darling of The View again.

Extortion is also the crime that Avenatti was helping his client Stormy Daniels perpetrate against Trump. No doubt that Avenatti really got off light, but remember Avenatti is a lawyer and therefore is considered by many to have a license to steal.

Basement, prison.....what's the difference.
It may be a campaign strategery. Biden and won from a basement. Avenetti is simply stepping up his presidential campaign one notch.

The tears were an act. They bought him a 5.5-year drop in the sentence the prosecutors sought for him.
Not to worry, he has two more federal cases upcoming. Maybe he'll serve consecutive, not concurrent, sentences for the three cases.
