American parents are in for a payday. The federal government will begin forking over monthly payments to millions of US families July 15 under President Biden’s controversial expanded child tax credit plan. The cash — approved as part of the Democrat’s 1.9 trillion stimulus package in March — aims to prevent child poverty. But critics say the checks, which are part of Biden’s coronavirus relief plan, are an expansion of the welfare state and a disincentive to work.

Oh joy, another welfare program to buy votes. How many Americans will be stupid enough to fall for this? The brood mothers will be popping out babies (by multiple fathers) totally devoid of humanity because nobody gives a rats rear end about them that will grow up to realize their life long dream of becoming a gangsta. More children, more money. This is what real racism looks like.

Great! My child turns 50 next year; am I still eligible? If he claims me on his income tax, is HE eligible? Ain't nobody getting no money no time from Our Father which art in Washington. They can't even get the IRS refunds into the mail nor our bank accounts. (They probably couldn't put out a campfire with you-know-what.)

This isn't "welfare." It is just a loan essentially from the already existing child tax credit that been has notably been increased this year. This child tax credit would have been part of the 2021 income tax returns hence why you need to be aware that if you take these payments now your return come next year will be smaller. That point has been completely glossed over with the calls of "free money" from Dems and "welfare" from GOP. The IRS is essentially just giving us back our money earlier... yes, "our money" as it comes out of our paychecks in the form of taxes. Yes, many folks who pay nothing will get checks.. but that was already the case. This just speeds up the process. Let's get down to brass tacks. Lots of Conservatives talk about supporting actual families but they don't as they never put forth any legislation that would help enable one bread winner households or allow Americans to have larger families. Hungary is doing just that and God bless them! In fact MOST of Europe is on paper more family friendly tbh. The US does a lousy job of encouraging family growth hence why we are now demographically dying. Many young folks would like to have 3 or 4 or even 5 kids but it's too damn expensive and the GOP and most Conservatives don't give a rat's behind about working or middle class white people in intact stable marriages with kids! They are too busy encouraging corporate America to fleece us through price fixing, inflation, debt, and "monopolies" on essential goods. That makes pols stock portfolios very happy. It's killing the American family however.

Well said, #7. One of my nieces has four children now. I have assured them that we will fund their higher education, if they choose to do that, hoping that this will encourage them for more since they know that potential financial burden is gone. More good, well raised people in the world is a good thing, and my wife and I are literally putting our money where our mouths are. We will be funding the educations for all of the next generation in our extended family.

Sorry, but this just increases a growing problem. Unwed mothers are rewarded for bad behavior. Now that they are getting more money, do they give up their Section 8 housing and food assistance ? The most disadvantaged group in this country is the elderly who are punished for being sick and going on SS early.

Democrats know their time is limited. The 2022 midterms are fast-approaching, and Republicans are likely to recapture the House, the Senate, or both. This is why Democrats are trying to cram as much as possible into every bill on the table. Their massive budget bill even includes amnesty for illegals.Karen Townsend writes at Hot Air Durbin confirms: Democrats will put amnesty plan into infrastructure bill What better time to push through amnesty for potentially millions of illegal immigrants than during the Biden border crisis? As tone-deaf as the plan is, that is exactly what Senate Democrats are planning to do in the $3.5T infrastructure bill.

The National Football League (NFL) recently joined virtually every other American institution in lauding — and marketing to — the LGBT community during Pride Month in June. It did so by releasing a new 30-second commercial proudly proclaiming that "football is gay, lesbian, queer, transgender, bisexual and exciting." The ad begins by stating "football is gay" to the sound of drums rolling and people cheering. (I'm not sure what Dick Butkus would have to say about this advertisement, but I digress.) [Tweet] The ad is in part a direct response to Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Carl Nassib's recent announcement that he is gay, a league spokesperson said.

WASHINGTON — Two weeks after celebrating America’s near “independence” from the coronavirus, President Joe Biden is confronting the worrying reality of rising cases and deaths — and the limitations of his ability to combat the persistent vaccine hesitance responsible for the summer backslide. Cases of COVID-19 have tripled over the past three weeks, and hospitalizations and deaths are rising among unvaccinated people. While the rates are still sharply down from their January highs, officials are concerned by the reversing trendlines and what they consider needless illness and death. And cases are expected to continue to rise in coming weeks.

Legislation the House passed this month is the biggest advance yet in Democrats' efforts to bake climate policies into transportation, addressing the largest single contributor to the United States’ greenhouse gas output. It would also represent an historic shift away from the roads-first approach to federal transportation spending that has reigned since Dwight Eisenhower created the Interstate Highway System. But the bill is riling up opposition from two potential allies of the Democrats'
