Several members of the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) turned away from the flag as a 98-year-old WWII veteran played the national anthem. The incident occurred Monday, just before the USWNT took-on Mexico in their final tune-up before the Tokyo Olympics. A longer version of the video can be seen here: The veteran playing the harmonica is Pete DuPré, who has gained national notoriety playing the anthem at sporting events all over the country. The USWNT protest on Monday was not the first time U.S. athletes have snubbed the flag while qualifying for the Olympics. In late June, hammer thrower Gwen Berry also turned away

For the most part, women’s sports are second rate. It’s why the WNBA has to be subsidized by the NBA. They have a hard time drawing even a small audience. Normally, I wouldn’t care since the only sports I watched this year was The Masters and US Open but when a corporation supports anti-Americans, I go into boycott mode. I don’t know what Subway execs were thinking but they are living in some kind of woke bubbles. One of the rules of business is to know who your customer base is and tailor your marketing efforts to that base. I find it hard to believe that America-hating lesbians make up much of Subway’s clientele. I think that a lot of the executives in business today got the full measure of leftist indoctrination in college and are about to learn a hard lesson in marketing.

The Star Wars sequel trilogy — The Force Awakens (2015), The Last Jedi (2017), and The Rise of Skywalker (2019) — left a sour taste in the mouths of millions of fans. Disney had managed to remove some of the magic that made Star Wars so immersive and engaging, replacing the depth and mystery of the original trilogy with a hackneyed retread of the story elements and merchandising. Worst of all, the trilogy destroyed the character of Luke Skywalker and then lurched back and forth between a new direction (The Last Jedi) and an empty conclusion (The Rise of Skywalker).

Joe Biden mocked President Donald Trump for months on the campaign trail, saying that he was reckless with regard to the coronavirus, even in the White House. Now, the Biden White House is facing a coronavirus outbreak of its own. Biden, who campaigned on promises to “follow the science,” called Trump an “absolute fool” for not wearing a mask during an outdoor event on Memorial Day in 2020. When Trump was diagnosed with coronavirus in September 2020, Biden said: “Quite frankly, I wasn’t surprised.” He added that “anybody who contracts the virus by essentially saying, masks don’t matter, social distancing doesn’t matter, I think is responsible for what happens to them.”
