“Defund NPR” was trending on Twitter Monday morning after National Public Radio (NPR) criticized the Declaration of Independence on July 4.“In this thread of the Declaration of Independence, you can see a document with flaws and deeply ingrained hypocrisies,” NPR tweeted. “It also laid the foundation for this country’s collective aspirations — the hopes for what America could be.” (Tweet) NPR tweeted the entire contents of the Declaration of Independence in a thread but not before it slid in an anecdote about how the United States was not free for everyone.“It says ‘that all men are created equal’ — but women, enslaved people, Indigenous people and many others were not

I am still sad over what has happened to NPR over the decades. I started listening in the late 1970's and it has markedly declined when they started taking Soros money via the Open Society Institute. I don't listen to NPR any more, It's become a sickening mixture of smug wokeism, gays, urban "culture", drug addicts, communists, and illegal alien issues now.

The Libs would be offended if it said all Bogs are extirpated Nurkle. Man, used to mean Humanity., but to these jokers it means, "a biological sex - probably of European descent." Freedom used to mean Unrestricted, But to these uneducated boobs, it means, "permitted by Authority." Many things were left unspoken, because to the Founders, that which was unspoken was implied, derived from their faith and their honor. Nowadays, Faith is for fools and Honor is a fraud, at tleast so far as Liberals are concerned. This is why people need to remember to never, NEVER allow Liberals, or any similar sociopath any position where they can tell someone else what to do.

NPR is yet another example of the failure of our Republican representatives to keep their campaign promises. Yes, we only give them small potatoes of monetary support compared to other imperatives like the military. But every few years we hear cries for defunding NPR rise from OUR candidates - only to see our money continue to flow. Keeping promises - holding fast to one's word - THOSE used to be important values here in America.

The smug, poorly-educated drones on NPR are judging the Declaration of Independence by today's evolved but twisted standards when it was written in 1776 according to the standards of that time. Women had different roles and their men took care of government and everything else outside the home, slavery was an accepted practice all over the world. Homosexuals were clearly not accepted by God or anyone else. Indigenous people were defeated in war and became slaves or worse, everywhere, not just here. Self-proclaimed scholars should know better but obviously they have an agenda and are being paid to push it, like a bunch of prostitutes.

I have witnessed a "snobbery" associated with the NPR "listeners" and PBS news "viewers" I have known. An elitist attitude that somehow public broadcasting is superior to other news and entertainment sources which results in them being intellectual. I once contributed to a local affiliate and was soon inundated with solicitations from local opera, symphony and other high brow organizations. No, thanks.

In a remarkable display of how committed the Democrat party is to utilizing the narrative of domestic extremism for their own benefit, Nancy Pelosi is placing satellite field offices for the DC Capitol Police in key regions around the country. When we consider the FBI has field offices all over the country, you might ask: why does the Capitol Hill police need to expand beyond Washington DC? Essentially, what Nancy Pelosi is doing is expanding the federal law enforcement mechanism of the legislative branch into specific areas where they can investigate political opposition armed with legal authority.
