Western loggers, mill workers, and small communities were shocked when President Biden nominated Tracy Stone-Manning as the Director of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Stone-Manning was part of the notorious domestic eco-terrorist group Earth First! when she was a 23-year-old graduate student at the University of Montana. As an editor of one of the group’s publications, she provided fodder to the faithful who opposed congressionally mandated logging on federal lands. On one occasion, however, she went beyond advocacy. In 1989, she was an accessory to an act of eco-terrorism called tree spiking in an effort to stop the sale of Idaho national forest timber.

Whatever. It's now the Bureau of Land Mis-Management, anyway. It's because they shut down logging everywhere that we now have massive forest fires burning out of control every summer, and the price of lumber is so high. What's the point of having all those trees on "public lands" if we can't use them? Just to enjoy the views?

A smart Senator would bring in some loggers who lost a limb or were disfigured because of Stone-Manning's actions and ask her to explain how what she did was justified. Also ask her what she would like to say to the injured loggers and how she feels about what she did now that she has some faces (what's left of them) to see the results of her actions. Wonder what her reaction would be.

I don't think this is a novel idea. But, wouldn't timber harvesting be considered: Renewable? Just saying..............

Is this the same woman who said that American children were a blight on the earth? She is a sick hater of humanity and has no business near the BLM. The ranchers, loggers & farmers have suffered decades from the BLM corruption & stupidity. Better all around if it were disbanded.

Suppliers that want to land Amazon.com Inc. as a client for their goods and services can find that its business comes with a catch: the right for Amazon to buy big stakes in their companies at potentially steep discounts to market value. The technology-and-retail giant has struck at least a dozen deals with publicly traded companies in which it gets rights, called warrants, to buy the vendors’ stock in the future at what could be below-market prices, according to corporate filings and interviews with people involved with the deals. Amazon over the past decade also has done more than 75 such deals with privately held companies.

The government watchdog organization Judicial Watch filed a lawsuit against Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) after they failed to respond to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request which sought coronavirus data records on illegal aliens the administration has continued releasing into the U.S. interior.

A middle school teacher from Washington State has come in for criticism after handing out flyers that advised students on sex and how to go about getting a abortion, without first getting the consent of parents. The fact sheet, which was said to have been produced by Planned Parenthood, told eighth-grade kids aged 13 and 14 that they could obtain abortions 'AT ANY AGE' and without parental consent. It went on to state they could also purchase condoms 'AT ANY AGE' and that someone could engage in sex as young as 11 so long as their partner was less than two years older than them.

Vogue, the world's fashion bible, has placed Jill Biden on her cover as the epitome of fashion. She's a "goddess," they explain. Which is a stretch, given that the first lady has sported getups like this loud red zebra print dress, or these huge-print patterned pantyhose worn with elfin spike heel ankle boots. It goes to show that its whole schtick is politics, not fashion. After all, the big fashion bible for the world's stylish somehow managed to overlook the nation's truly stylish first lady, Melania Trump, a former super-model, who not only was quite beautiful, but age-appropriate and elegant in her four years as first lady.
