Derek Chauvin, the former police officer who killed George Floyd during his arrest in Minneapolis last year, was sentenced to 22 years in prison on Friday.
Chauvin was found guilty in April of second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter.
The former police officer is seen in a video of the arrest kneeling on Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes, persisting even after he became unconscious.
Chauvin spoke briefly during his sentencing hearing on Friday: “I want to give my condolences to the Floyd family,” Chauvin said.
“There’s going to be some other information in the future
The deification of Fentanyl Floyd continues with this ridiculous sentence. Chauvin went to jail to avoid further rioting by the ferals. Any cop in a city run by Democraps should be looking for the door right now.

The entire police force of that city should resign at the injustice.

Kangaroo Court. Democratic run cities/states are lawless deserving only of being walled off from civilized society.

They now have a life size bronze statue of George as well as the Floydteenth holiday, next in the works is the new $20 bill with George’s picture on it. Instead of In God We Trust it will say in BLM & Critical Race Theory we trust. Instead of the Seeing
Eye above the pyramid there will be a clenched Black power fist above a burning police car.

Like a lamb to the slaughter….
Exculpatory evidence be damned. May Chauvin get his day of exoneration, in this life or in the next.

22 Years for something that he didn't do. The left is probably thrilled..........perhaps some celebratory rioting , looting and burning is on order.

The Floyd family should at least give Chauvin 10% of their $27million windfall, Without him they would still be selling dope on the corner, shoplifting or looting.

Unfortunately, he probably won't live very long in prison, even if they technically put him in isolated confinement.

And the entire Minneapolis Police Department resigned. Take what ya got and find a better deal where you're not going to prison for doing your job.
Might I suggest drug dealer sarcoff.

A complete travesty of justice. A kangaroo court, a cowardly and cowed jury, and judge, and the entire Enemedia pumping lies 24/7 for a year.
Chauvin is innocent of all charges, regardless of what these horrible people say or do.

So now twerking on top of emergency response vehicles will be viewed as more of a celebration of life as opposed to in-your-face vulgarity.

Compare this to the sentence of the officer who shot Laquan McDonald in the back in Chicago--6.5 years. I hope Chauvin can get justice on appeal. He didn't shoot anyone and had no intent to kill anyone.

I'm sure they're all very proud of themselves, being the arbiters of justice, and all. Except for one thing ... Chauvin didn't murder George Floyd.

I try to look on the bright side of things. Floyd is busily decomposing as we watch the travesty of justice that is the Chauvin persecution. One less african-in-America, feral, criminal POS to confront. Yay!

An appalling travesty of injustice. Disgusting and frightening that an innocent police officer is railroaded to prison by a radical, communist death democrat controlled racist justice system .. The justice system is broken beyond repair. Disgusting.

Hope Chauvin is protected from the general prison population. No doubt some thug would kill him just for the reputation. Don't know how much of a factor was Chauvin's restraint hold in Floyd's death, but one thing is for certain. No police officer in the United States will use that hold to restrain a perp from now on.

All the direct participants in this mess are meaningless compared to the impact on society going forward. Every action sends a message. Pay millions to the family of crooks killed while resisting arrest, and you will certainly see more resisting arrest. A cop who holds down a crook (who was strong enough to resist efforts of four cops to restrain him) gets sent to prison for 20+ years because the crook ended up dying of a drug overdose while restrained will result in cops backing off and letting crooks destroy their communities. Lionizing a violent, drug addict, criminal and building statues to him will lead youngsters to aspire to the life he lived. Nothing good comes from any of this.

He will get a new trail and be held not guilty. He needs a change of venue and a jury that is not intimidated

The certain appeal should be where the real action will start. Did he get a fair trial in a court and city that was scared to death?

Floyd the thug would still be alive if hadn't resisted arrest. He would be able still be a criminal.

The Floyd family were handed $27 million before the trial started. No bias there. They got rich off the death of their drug addled felon of a son and they deserved zilch. The tax payers of course funded this without their consent. This is a horrible travesty of justice. I am sickened.

Yes, and how pathetic that they join the other scaredycats to remain silent, #2. I actually heard a retired cop say just that on talk radio on an OK station. Fellas, the next one could be YOU off to jail and smeared nationally as a murderer. You best give it some thought.

#24 If Floyd had not died that die, it would have been another day from drugs or black on black crime.
If Floyd had been white and the cop black, we wouldn't be here.
