A 6-year-old boy riding in a booster seat on his way to school Friday was shot dead on a California highway in an apparent road-rage incident.
“Mommy, my tummy hurts,” Aiden Leos said moments after being shot in the stomach, his older sister Alexis Cloonan told KABC. Leos attended kindergarten at Calvary Chapel in Yorba Linda, according to local reports. He had just celebrated his birthday last week.(Snip) The tragedy unfolded when the unidentified mother—who was not injured—reportedly flipped off the driver of a white sedan who had cut her off in the highway’s car-pool lane. This is a crazy world. She was taking him to a church school and yet "flipped off" another driver because she got cut off and lost her temper. She'll have to live with that the rest of her life. Poor child. Poor mother. So sad.

I lay the blame on the dims whose political strategy is to foment rage and psychosis.
The calif guv is a pluperfect example of leadership thru incompetence masked in a miasma of psychosis-inducing rhetoric.
Dims love all masks.

Drivers must learn that other drivers make mistakes. It may delay them for a second, but you make mistakes too. Give the other driver the benefit of the doubt. The quickest way to get to your destination is to move on. I had a driver that got mad at me for not pulling over, and pulled in front of me and kept slowing down. He thought this would perturb me, but I was in absolutely no hurry, and kept him there slowing down like a fool for 30 minutes. Then he suddenly realized I did not care, was baiting him, and he had completely destroyed his getting to wherever he was going in a hurry. The look he had in his rear view mirror when he caught on is a precious memory. It said: I am a fool, and should drive on.

Wow, harsh, #s 2 & 3. All #1 did is remark upon the irony of Jesus Mom delivering a secular EFF YOU to someone . . . . because traffic . . . not fault the mom.
But even if it wasn't technically JMom's "fault", I wonder if her son would still be alive if she hadn't done what Jesus would never have done . . . or if she won't spend the rest of her life regretting being the sort of person who gives people the finger.

In today’s world, it is scary to show anger. But who could have imagined this insane retaliation! Tragic beyond belief.

I have always told my wife that you NEVER make some kind of gesture that would escalate a road rage incident. I am sorry for the mom and her family, but she should have never "flipped off" the other car.

Wow...just wow. I don’t care if she flipped somebody off or not. Someone SHOT her child for it.

If someone is driving erratically or cuts me off or gives me a hard look my policy is to never look at them. I have no idea what their state of mind is or if they have a weapon in hand. It's just not wise. This was likely a young mother who did not think things through. I'm so sorry for their loss. I cannot even imagine what she'll being going through.

I didn't hear a guilt trip from #1. I heard the writer simply listing facts of what happened. And what was said is true, normal people will feel remorse and will have to live with it. It will take some deep self-forgiveness. Guarantee she's wishing she didn't flip off the psycho who shot her son. And no, It wasn't the mom's fault. It was the shooter's fault.

What on earth was this mother thinking? In today’s world, drive smart. You never know who is around you.

Did anyone else notice that this story doesn’t work. The white car cut her off in the carpool lane (on Southern California freeways, that is the #1 lane, the lane closest to the center divider). She reportedly gave that driver the bird in HER rear view mirror and someone in that car shot her son who was in the back seat of her car.
Run it through your brain again. Did she - having been cut off - move out of that carpool lane, pass the white car, move in front of him and then give him the bird in her rear view mirror?

Bottom-line, in today's world NEVER, NEVER, EVER, EVER show any anger toward any of the many idiot drivers around you. ANY reaction from them is possible; in fact, it's usually fairly easy to tell which drivers are handling their cars like weapons, and there are plenty of them!

I drive between Cincinnati and Dayton on I-75 every week day, and I see the stupidest stuff. People blow by me doing 90 mph or better, there are the weavers, the people who ride your bumper, the people who are having animated conversations on cell phones (in their hand - no bluetooth), and more. I've been cut off many times. I let it go; no harm done yet. The reason is that I carry, and the last thing I want to do is have to shoot someone because I let road rage get the better of me. Karma, or fate, or some Bubba will take care of these fools.

One more time: The shooter shot through the trunk of her car. The little boy was in a car seat mounted on the back seat, and shot through his back.
She was in front of the white car that had cut her off. She gave the bird in her REAR VIEW MIRROR. A mature woman with a teenage or older daughter, she had to have gone out around the car that cut her off, cut back in front of him before giving him the bird.
She caused it. She will have to live with it.

I don't care what kind of crazy you live, just leave the kids out of it. That little boy is still dead and not coming back because of poor choices.
Always remember "People do what you let them" See anybody putting a stop to any of it ?
