Washington—It was another week with another horrific mass shooting. In cities across the country, gun homicides were climbing. Democrats and Republicans argued over the causes. President Joe Biden said enough.(Snip) In March 2020, federal background checks, a rough proxy for purchases, topped 1 million in a week for the first time since the government began tracking them in 1998. And the buying continued, through the protests in the summer and the election in the fall, until a week this spring broke the record with 1.2 million background checks. "There was a surge in purchasing unlike anything we've ever seen," said Dr. Garen J. Wintemute,

That gun buying spree has been going on for over a decade now. Ever since Obama became pResident. If the left ever tries to disarm the populace it way well be impossible or take a century. Who knows how many guns are out there? For that matter, how much ammo is out there. if the left ever restricts ammo can imagine people will find ways to produce their own.

Despite the best efforts of the cities to stop gun violence, people want to protect themselves from the hoods who would want to do them harm. Response times from calling the police are too long when a situation comes up in most cases. That is why the bumper snicker "We don't call 911" often rings true.

Citizens buy guns to protect their homes and families because Democrats free felons, rioters burn cities and criminals run free. Democrats outlaw guns when they they free felons, rioters burn cities and criminals run free. Do you see a pattern here? The Second Amendment ensures that citizens have the means to strike out against oppressive government. That is why Democrats hate guns and armed citizens. They want unarmed and powerless subjects.

Not illegal to have guns in NYC, but extemely difficult and costly to obtain the permits to have a gun INSIDE your home. Carrying a gun legally is even more difficult, approaching impossible, and typically requires political connections and a large chunk of money, like $5K or more spent. Ordinary folks will NOT have a carry permit. And interestingly, a NY state concealed carry permit, which is dramatically easier to get in some parts of the state, is NOT valid in NYC.

The leftist and liberal Democrats in Congress have to know by now that almost every one of those gun legal owners both new and old are potential voters, and that the last time the Democrats pushed a major gun control law, that harassed law abiding gun owners and did nothing to keep criminals from obtaining illegal guns, that they lost control of the Congress for a decade. That’s why gun control was an all talk and no action issue all during the Obama era.

Crime goes up, police under attack, and people purchase a gun to give them a way to defend themselves. Cause .....crime; effect......people buy guns. BUT, the antigun folks at the propaganda operation branded "NYT", turn it upside down. They report "people are buying guns, and we can't figure out why" and THEN they report "crime is increasing", INTENTIONALLY getting the causality backwards. Crime is NOT increasing because people are buying guns. People are buying guns because crime is increasing. NYT is a propaganda operation.

The liars at the NYT like Sabrina, know exactly what the problem is. Every time they set foot on Manhattan Island they know. Sabrina knows every time she is by herself. They know that if they want to stop gun crime in NYC or any US city, all they have to do is send their reporters and camera crews to the urban street corners that have the most killings year after year. Set up a tent at the housing projects Sabrina and remind the people that visit your 'news' spot, that unregistered guns and lack of a carry permit are very illegal in NYC. NO one at the NYT would every do such a thing. In fact they won't even dare talk about it. They only want to harass people who obey their failed, illegal, laws. The Sullivan Laws were founded in outright racism against the Irish. They NEVER worked to stop a single criminal. They are only in place to keep the fools herded together and to provide a pool of victims and cowards who give liars more and more power to 'protect' them. Of course they don't and every new outrage only repeats the cycle, because there is nothing dumber on this planet than a woke progressive liberal.

Upwards of probably 500 million guns and trillions of rounds of ammunition owned by law-abiding citizens in the US? Registered hunters in Michigan alone outnumber the US Army and Marines combined! If legal firearm owners were the problem, YOU'D KNOW IT ALREADY!

An unhinged man randomly slugged an Asian woman in the face, knocking her to the ground, in a brazen attack outside a Chinatown restaurant on Monday, police said. Surveillance video posted on Twitter by Assemblywoman Yuh-Line Niou, whose district covers Chinatown, captured the horrifying daytime assault on Bayard Street, near Mott Street. The 55-year-old victim can be seen walking by the Kong Sihk Tong café at around 6:15 p.m.—when a man in an orange hoodie and denim jacket whacks her unprovoked. The woman falls backward onto the pavement, and the attacker begins ranting as two people dining outside sit in stunned silence,

Tallahassee, Fla.—The Biden administration is urging a federal court to dismiss a lawsuit that could stand in the way of states like Florida in allowing prescription drugs to be imported from Canada. In a legal brief filed Friday, the White House argues that the lawsuit filed on behalf of U.S. pharmaceutical companies was premature because the federal government has yet to approve any importation programs. The administration’s legal filing came on the same day Florida’s Republican governor, who is considering a run for the White House in 2024, called on the Biden administration to approve its drug importation application.

Houston–She wondered what the children knew. Kimberly Hewitt noticed them playing outside Cuney Homes when she arrived on the anniversary of George Floyd's killing and feared the deaths of Black people were starting to seem too normal. She did not want young people here to think an early death was their fate, too. Hewitt and several dozen well-wishers prayed. They recited Floyd's name and released a panoply of red and gold balloons into the sky. Yet the mourning was hardly over. Floyd was only one in a cascade of neighborhood men to die lately, and they had another funeral to attend.

Florida is threatening to slap cruise lines with tens of thousands of dollars in fines for requiring passengers to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination—uncomfortably wedging the sector between a federal mandate and the state’s sensibility. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a law earlier this month that banned bars, schools, restaurants and other businesses from asking customers whether they’ve been vaccinated against COVID-19. The law goes so far as to impose a fine of $5,000 per customer that is required to show proof of vaccination, and the governor hasn’t yet shown any signs of making a carveout for the cruise industry.
