WASHINGTON— Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said Sunday time is running short for a bipartisan deal on infrastructure, indicating that President Joe Biden will look to act without Republican support if there is no consensus when Congress returns from its Memorial Day break.“By the time that they return, which is June 7, just a week from tomorrow, we need a clear direction,” Buttigieg said. “The president keeps saying inaction is not an option. And time is not unlimited here.” He said the American people “expect us to do something.”Biden plans to meet with lead Republican negotiator, Sen. The reasons they gave were the usual so-called progressive claptrap. No surprise there, right? But is this something America should be worried about?Campus Reform, a conservative news site that focuses on higher education, created a fake petition calling for the removal of Memorial Day as a federal holiday, which was created to honor members of the Armed Forces who died while serving their country. A member of Campus Reform posed as an activist obtaining signatures for the faux petition and asked college-aged students if

Oklahoma Gov. Trump Highway. The bill initially hit a roadblock when Democratic legislators pointed out that state law requires, in most cases, a person to be dead for at least three years before a road or bridge can be named in their honor, according to the Oklahoman. Republicans repealed the three-year waiting period, allowing the highway to be named after Trump.

The Republican Party's 2024 picture is muddled. The consensus seems to be that until former President Donald Trump makes it clear whether he'll run, potential candidates will lay low.
