President Biden on Friday mistakenly called South Korean President Moon Jae-in a “prime minister”—one day after also botching the title of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Biden delivered the latest eyebrow-raising remark while presenting 94-year-old Korean War veteran Ralph Puckett with the Medal of Honor. “The people in the Republic of Korea haven’t forgotten, as evidenced by the fact that the prime minister of Korea is here for this ceremony,” Biden told Puckett. On Thursday night, Biden referred to Netanyahu as “President Netanyahu” while delivering a speech celebrating an Israel-Hamas cease-fire. The Friday awards ceremony featured Biden

NFL assistant coach Eugene Chung says he was told Asians are not the “right minority” when he interviewed for a job this past offseason. Despite a resume that includes 55 games of experience as an NFL offensive tackle–the first Asian American first-round draft pick in history–and 10 seasons as an assistant coach under Super Bowl winners Andy Reid and Doug Pederson, Chung was turned away.(Snip) The rule is not intended to exclusively help black candidates gain opportunities, as it also applies to females, Latinos, Asians and other minority groups. Washington—President Joe Biden will host George Floyd’s family at the White House Tuesday to mark the first anniversary of his death at the hands of a white Minneapolis police officer, White House officials confirmed Friday evening. Earlier in the day, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the president would mark the anniversary of Floyd’s death, but offered no further details on his plans.(Snip) Biden's plans to host Floyd's family come, however, as talks focused on the police reform bill named after Floyd—the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act—have stalled on Capitol Hill. Biden had previously set the anniversary of Floyd’s death

The two jail employees tasked with guarding pedophile Jeffrey Epstein the night of his suicide in a Manhattan jail have admitted to falsifying records—but will skirt time behind bars under a deal with prosecutors. Tova Noel and Michael Thomas admitted that they “willfully and knowingly” lied on forms stating that they’d made the required rounds checking on inmates the night of Epstein’s August 2019 suicide. Prosecutors said the guards were sleeping and surfing the web when they should have been monitoring the maximum security federal prisoner, who had recently been on suicide watch at the Metropolitan Correctional Center.(Snip) Instead, the disgraced duo will

President Biden promised to help Palestinians who lost their homes during 11 days of Israeli strikes on Gaza as he offered prayers Friday for a ceasefire to hold. During a press conference to mark the visit of South Korean President Moon Jae-in, he insisted he remained committed to Israeli security. But he struck a careful balance between both sides as he announced plans to help Palestinians in Gaza rebuild their lives so long as Hamas militants, who rained rockets on Israel, were not able to rebuild their armaments. 'I am prepared to put together, and am going to attempt to put together, a major package

A critical race studies and ethnic studies professor at the University of Colorado-Boulder says Americans wondering why Black citizens commit anti-Asian hate crimes have an answer: “White supremacy.” The educational watchdog Campus Reform spotlighted the commentary of Jennifer Ho, which preceded President Biden’s newly signed legislation aimed at combatting hate crimes against Asian Americans. “Anti-Asian racism has the same source as anti-Black racism: White supremacy,” Ms. Ho wrote for The Conversation. “So when a Black person attacks an Asian person, the encounter is fueled perhaps by racism, but very specifically by White supremacy. White supremacy does not require a White person to perpetuate it.”

Ready for a shot of love? The White House says roll up your sleeves.
As part of President Biden’s goal of vaccinating 70 percent of American adults with at least one shot by July 4th, the White House announced a partnership with some of the largest dating apps in the country Friday.
The apps—which include Tinder, Hinge, Match, OkCupid, BLK, Chispa, Plenty of Fish, Bumble and Badoo—will launch new features to encourage hesitant singles to get inoculated. Some of the features will include badges on profiles showing an individual’s vaccination status, access to free premium content like boosts, super likes and super swipes

Transgender advocates are calling Tennessee “the state of hate” in response to a series of new laws aimed at protecting biological women. LGBTQ activists see the laws as discriminatory to transgenders and say the Republican-run state is increasingly hostile to transgender rights. They’re also threatening legal action. “Tennessee has gone well above board to go after trans folks,” said Sasha Buchert, an attorney for Lambda Legal, a pro-LGBTQ legal group. “This isn’t about policy, it’s about prejudice.” Since March, there have been at least four new laws implemented in the Volunteer State that involve the rights of transgender individuals and biological women.

Amazon is halting construction at a facility in Windsor, Connecticut after workers discovered the seventh case of a “rope which could be interpreted as a noose” at the site. The latest was Wednesday, when officers on a private duty assignment “were made aware of the discovery of a rope which could be interpreted as a noose hanging within overhead beams on the site,” police said.(Snip) The local chapter of the NAACP said it’s working with Amazon to address worker concerns at the site. “These forms of hate crimes
Comments:
The FBI of course is investigating; there must be some fine restaurants and fancy hotels in the vicinity. Meanwhile, the NAACP has nothing to say about bLACK People assaulting Asians, nor do they ever backpedal when these "hate crimes" turn out to be faked, as they almost always are.
