At the “Big Screen is Back” initiative on Wednesday, Arnold Schwarzenegger and J.J. Abrams joined fellow filmmakers and Hollywood studio executives in an effort to motivate a return to the theater-going lifestyle.
As reported by The Associated Press, the event was socially distanced and held at AMC Century City 15 theater in Los Angeles. Before speaking, Schwarzenegger chanted, “We are back! We are back!” He described the importance of getting movie theaters back into commission and creating the experience of attending a movie in theaters once again.
“Now it’s time to get back to the big screen,” Schwarzenegger told the audience.

Go to Hades. Starve.
Hollywierd has told us that they hate us, and we despise what the majority of Hollyweird leftist haters have become. You have driven away your customer base.
If you pukes would make some patriotic, uplifting, NORMAL movies, you'd do fine. Making anti-American hateful stuff, and doing your anti-white quota stuff.....nope, not interested. You need us, we do not need you.

What happened to the Lefty mantra, “The new normal”? They asked us to change how we viewed our daily lives, and, we did. Movies in theaters will come back, I just don’t know how quick or strong that recovery will be.

I've been to the theater less than three times since 1999. I went to movies to get away from "the real world", stopped when they started preaching to me what I should or shouldn't believe based on their standards.
I prefer waiting until they come out online or on disc (yeah, I still keep disc media) when I can watch them at home. The atmosphere is better, the floor isn't sticky, the popcorn is fresher, and I can go to the bathroom without missing anything.
Not seeing anything coming down the road that will change my mind.

Let's see. When there is a movie, it's usually "X-Men 48, The Revenge of the Woke Climate Advocate." or something like that.
As Laura Ingraham said as the title of one of her first books, "Shut up and Sing." Too bad our entertainment and sports left don't listen to that. At least Michael Jordan was smart enough to know that Republicans and Conservatives buy shoes, too.

All the good actors and actresses who could actually act and not spew communism have died. I have several hundred movies on disc and a home theater system to watch the great films from 1930 though 2000 or so. I forget all about a movie within a few years so its like watching for the first time when I re-watch it. I have a popcorn machine that makes it like theater popcorn. No Hollywood, McCarthy was right, most of you are communists and Hollywood has died. I don't need you.

Dear theater owners,
There a many wonderful movies out there that you could feature in your theaters. Old stuff - John Wayne -"Rio Lobo" "True Grit". Holiday movies -"It's a Wonderful Life" and "White Christmas". Heck, I'd go to see "The Wizard of Oz" and I'd gladly take my grand-kids just to make a memory of dinner and a movie with them. I would love to see them fall asleep in the back of my car on the way home from a movie.
Theater owners - we don't need today's Hollywood any more. You can still be relevant and meaningful.

Ah, yes, theaters, where your fellow patrons talk on their phones and various other uncivil behaviors. Then there are the possible crowds at other venues in the multiplex...
(10d) Do not attend events likely to draw a lot of blacks.
(10e) If you are at some public event at which the number of blacks suddenly swells, leave as quickly as possible.
Nothing like a parking lot shooting to cap (no pun intended) the night off.

Rather than going to the movies, mostly made by people who hate my guts, we've been watching old TV westerns from the '50s and 60s, and old movies, on TV and blu-ray/DVD, with a few actual theater movies. Even TV shows drive use away in many cases with their anti-American, racist and pro-homosexual propaganda.
We've been watching Gunsmoke for a couple of years (the early B&W are the best), and now are watching "Cheyenne". There are only three current TV shows that we pay any attention to. NCIS, Blue Bloods and SEAL Team. NCIS suffers from steadily replacing white men and women with blacks and Hispanics, drip, drip, drip and one day.....I'll just stop watching it, too. Used to enjoy NCIS: New Orleans...then Zoe McClellen was replaced by an obnoxious NYC lesbian....and that was the end for me. And we sometimes watch the couple in Mississippi who rehab homes, I forget the name of the show.
As for theater movies, we saw "1917" ,highly recommended, and "They Shall Not Grow Old", a really wonderful job done by Peter Jackson, also recommended. Having recently visited many WW1 battlefields made them both more interesting.
We have seen a few other fairly recent movies...the latest Star Wars one a few years ago was a disappointment, and "The Kid who would be King" was off beat fun, but I can't think of any others. Too many foolish comic book CGI extravaganzas aimed at 13 year old boys. I am way past that level of story line.
And I just don't like Hollyweird hating me and all things patriotic and Christian.

Since I was a child I have noticed that every time Hollywood writes a character that is dumb they give him a Southern accent. Let's remake Forest Gump as a guy from Brooklyn.
BTW, I hated the Marxist symbolism in that movie. It was that feather.

I am certainly in agreement with all posters. The last movie I saw in a theater was 'Apollo 13'. Excellent and non-political. As others said, the cost of a movie in a theater has reached a breaking point. Expensive tickets, outrageously priced snacks, people talking, and others pecking away at their cell phones. I don't need that. I will watch a movie at home but very selectively. I can usually sense those that are going to lecture us and insert anti-American left-wing propaganda so I pass. We watch the local news and some sttreaming British mystery shows. The bathroom is four steps away as is the single malt scotch and my homemade delicious snacks. I can't see myself ever returning to a movie theater.

I watch all the old westerns on GRIT now. I used to have my TV locked on DECADES channel. There are NO movies worth watching made after 1969. I prefer movies from the 1930s, 40s and 50s over any junk made now. I refuse to patronize leftist, "woke", politically correct, garbage where every other word is an expletive. I prefer movies that are either not rated (because they had standards, whether imposed or not) or rated G ot PG. Even the pre-Hayes standard era had cleaner movies than most of the junk marketed toward children nowadays. And the pre-1970s movies had a LOT better writing, especially when it came to dialogue and character development. Everything made after the mid-1960s spiraled down the toilet and into the sewer as far as quality is concerned.
Hollywood (and the music industry) died long ago. Let's put it (them) out of its rotten misery once and for all.

The last movie I saw was Transformers: The Last Knight. It was only because the tickets were free and the place sold pizza, wings and beer. I will not pay to go see movies that are woke that feature people who hate me only because I support Conservatives and voted for PDJT twice. Case in point the Batman movie. A least three major roles are being performed by people who hate Trump and his supporters. The bozo playing Commissioner Gordon Jeffrey Wright is the biggest jerk of the bunch. Which stinks because I like superhero movies. Nonetheless Hollywood especially jerks like Wright can go toss off.
