Hollywood Celebrities Plead With Movie Fans:
Please Go Back To Theaters

Original Article

At the “Big Screen is Back” initiative on Wednesday, Arnold Schwarzenegger and J.J. Abrams joined fellow filmmakers and Hollywood studio executives in an effort to motivate a return to the theater-going lifestyle. As reported by The Associated Press, the event was socially distanced and held at AMC Century City 15 theater in Los Angeles. Before speaking, Schwarzenegger chanted, “We are back! We are back!” He described the importance of getting movie theaters back into commission and creating the experience of attending a movie in theaters once again. “Now it’s time to get back to the big screen,” Schwarzenegger told the audience.

Comments:

Why on earth would I support an industry where more than 90% of its members publicly insult my political beliefs and virtually NONE of them hold my values???

Go to Hades. Starve. Hollywierd has told us that they hate us, and we despise what the majority of Hollyweird leftist haters have become. You have driven away your customer base. If you pukes would make some patriotic, uplifting, NORMAL movies, you'd do fine. Making anti-American hateful stuff, and doing your anti-white quota stuff.....nope, not interested. You need us, we do not need you.

What happened to the Lefty mantra, “The new normal”? They asked us to change how we viewed our daily lives, and, we did. Movies in theaters will come back, I just don’t know how quick or strong that recovery will be.

I've been to the theater less than three times since 1999. I went to movies to get away from "the real world", stopped when they started preaching to me what I should or shouldn't believe based on their standards. I prefer waiting until they come out online or on disc (yeah, I still keep disc media) when I can watch them at home. The atmosphere is better, the floor isn't sticky, the popcorn is fresher, and I can go to the bathroom without missing anything. Not seeing anything coming down the road that will change my mind.

Let's see. When there is a movie, it's usually "X-Men 48, The Revenge of the Woke Climate Advocate." or something like that. As Laura Ingraham said as the title of one of her first books, "Shut up and Sing." Too bad our entertainment and sports left don't listen to that. At least Michael Jordan was smart enough to know that Republicans and Conservatives buy shoes, too.

All the good actors and actresses who could actually act and not spew communism have died. I have several hundred movies on disc and a home theater system to watch the great films from 1930 though 2000 or so. I forget all about a movie within a few years so its like watching for the first time when I re-watch it. I have a popcorn machine that makes it like theater popcorn. No Hollywood, McCarthy was right, most of you are communists and Hollywood has died. I don't need you.

Dear theater owners, There a many wonderful movies out there that you could feature in your theaters. Old stuff - John Wayne -"Rio Lobo" "True Grit". Holiday movies -"It's a Wonderful Life" and "White Christmas". Heck, I'd go to see "The Wizard of Oz" and I'd gladly take my grand-kids just to make a memory of dinner and a movie with them. I would love to see them fall asleep in the back of my car on the way home from a movie. Theater owners - we don't need today's Hollywood any more. You can still be relevant and meaningful.

Ah, yes, theaters, where your fellow patrons talk on their phones and various other uncivil behaviors. Then there are the possible crowds at other venues in the multiplex... (10d) Do not attend events likely to draw a lot of blacks. (10e) If you are at some public event at which the number of blacks suddenly swells, leave as quickly as possible. Nothing like a parking lot shooting to cap (no pun intended) the night off. takimag.com/article/the_talk_nonblack_version_john_derbyshire/2/

Rather than going to the movies, mostly made by people who hate my guts, we've been watching old TV westerns from the '50s and 60s, and old movies, on TV and blu-ray/DVD, with a few actual theater movies. Even TV shows drive use away in many cases with their anti-American, racist and pro-homosexual propaganda. We've been watching Gunsmoke for a couple of years (the early B&W are the best), and now are watching "Cheyenne". There are only three current TV shows that we pay any attention to. NCIS, Blue Bloods and SEAL Team. NCIS suffers from steadily replacing white men and women with blacks and Hispanics, drip, drip, drip and one day.....I'll just stop watching it, too. Used to enjoy NCIS: New Orleans...then Zoe McClellen was replaced by an obnoxious NYC lesbian....and that was the end for me. And we sometimes watch the couple in Mississippi who rehab homes, I forget the name of the show. As for theater movies, we saw "1917" ,highly recommended, and "They Shall Not Grow Old", a really wonderful job done by Peter Jackson, also recommended. Having recently visited many WW1 battlefields made them both more interesting. We have seen a few other fairly recent movies...the latest Star Wars one a few years ago was a disappointment, and "The Kid who would be King" was off beat fun, but I can't think of any others. Too many foolish comic book CGI extravaganzas aimed at 13 year old boys. I am way past that level of story line. And I just don't like Hollyweird hating me and all things patriotic and Christian.

I am certainly in agreement with all posters. The last movie I saw in a theater was 'Apollo 13'. Excellent and non-political. As others said, the cost of a movie in a theater has reached a breaking point. Expensive tickets, outrageously priced snacks, people talking, and others pecking away at their cell phones. I don't need that. I will watch a movie at home but very selectively. I can usually sense those that are going to lecture us and insert anti-American left-wing propaganda so I pass. We watch the local news and some sttreaming British mystery shows. The bathroom is four steps away as is the single malt scotch and my homemade delicious snacks. I can't see myself ever returning to a movie theater.

I watch all the old westerns on GRIT now. I used to have my TV locked on DECADES channel. There are NO movies worth watching made after 1969. I prefer movies from the 1930s, 40s and 50s over any junk made now. I refuse to patronize leftist, "woke", politically correct, garbage where every other word is an expletive. I prefer movies that are either not rated (because they had standards, whether imposed or not) or rated G ot PG. Even the pre-Hayes standard era had cleaner movies than most of the junk marketed toward children nowadays. And the pre-1970s movies had a LOT better writing, especially when it came to dialogue and character development. Everything made after the mid-1960s spiraled down the toilet and into the sewer as far as quality is concerned. Hollywood (and the music industry) died long ago. Let's put it (them) out of its rotten misery once and for all.

The last movie I saw was Transformers: The Last Knight. It was only because the tickets were free and the place sold pizza, wings and beer. I will not pay to go see movies that are woke that feature people who hate me only because I support Conservatives and voted for PDJT twice. Case in point the Batman movie. A least three major roles are being performed by people who hate Trump and his supporters. The bozo playing Commissioner Gordon Jeffrey Wright is the biggest jerk of the bunch. Which stinks because I like superhero movies. Nonetheless Hollywood especially jerks like Wright can go toss off.

Arizona’s Senate is considering another audit of Maricopa County’s 2020 Election results. This will supplement and confirm the results from the current audit going on in the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The Washington Examiner reports: The Arizona Senate may sign a deal for another 2020 election review in Maricopa County following reports that some overseers of the audit are dissatisfied with the process. The present audit, which includes a review of 2.1 million ballots cast in the state’s November election in the county, has been underway since April 23 at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, led by the hired firm Cyber Ninjas.

Forbes reported, “At the Senate Democrats’ press conference on Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) joked that life would be better if former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan were still leading the House GOP.” That should be noteworthy to all people who believe that Ryan was some sort of opposition leader to the left or the Tea Party darling he pretended to be to get elected.

Last year, Davon Brown, a former fashion model turned homeless activist, conned his way into an LA Ritz-Carlton luxury suite alongside Jed Parriot, the son of a producer on Grey's Anatomy. It was May Day, Brown was wearing a blazer and sunglasses. The former fashion model and son of a wealthy producer were there to ‘occupy’ a luxury suite for the homeless. And demand that the city take over hotel rooms and hand them out to the population of junkie vagrants. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti held a press conference and assured Brown that he would get him a room.

There have been times when America has forgotten why we sent Americans overseas—and the duty we have to care for those who carry this nation’s freedom on their backs. After Vietnam, there were no “welcome home” parades. As a youth, I saw senior officers in America’s most decorated combat division refused permission to wear their uniforms outside of Fort Bragg in North Carolina because the Army thought they would be subject to indignity. The Vietnam War created a lasting slogan: “Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another.” That must be our charge today—and always.

An illegal alien has been found guilty of murdering 20-year-old University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts by a jury on Friday. Cristhian Bahena Rivera, an illegal alien from Mexico, was arrested in August 2018 — about a month after Tibbetts first went missing on the evening of July 18, 2018, in Brooklyn, Iowa — and charged with first-degree murder. Bahena Rivera led investigators to Tibbetts’ body and he said he spotted her jogging, ran up to her, and became angry because she threatened to call the police. Rivera said he then blacked out and took her body from his car trunk and placed her in a cornfield, placing corn stalks over her.

Friday on CNN’s “At This Hour,” former Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) urged the GOP to “shun” the “conspiratorial fringe element of the party” if it wants to win elections moving forward. Flake, who has long been vocal about his disdain for former President Donald Trump, emphasized that Republicans should break from Trump and his supporters like Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and instead turn to someone like former House Speaker Paul Ryan. “I do believe … that most Republicans out there want to get back to a party that believes in ideas, the kind that Paul Ryan described.

Beauty influencer Amanda Ensing has filed a defamation lawsuit against the makeup giant Sephora after they very publicly cut ties with her for being a Christian conservative in January. The makeup shop responded to liberal activists who were outraged that they would dare to work with a Republican by saying that she “shared content on social media that is not aligned with Sephora’s values around inclusivity.” Ensing posts family friendly beauty content mixed with some posts about her Christian conservative views — such as her support for the Second Amendment.

Days ago, I was honored to spend time with President Trump for an exclusive one-on-one interview on my nationally- syndicated radio show, “Wayne Allyn Root: Raw & Unfiltered” on USA Radio Network. Before I get to the most important game-changer to come out of that interview, I’d like to get one thing out of the way. Just having this interview proves how wrong Democrats, liberals and assorted Marxist fools are about America. Most Democrats today are America-haters and national anthem kneelers. They find only fault with America. They see our history as negative. They see our country as “racist.”

Once again, Joe Biden is trying to rewrite history by crediting his administration—and his administration only—for having “turned the tide” against the COVID-19 pandemic. “From a year of darkness, we’re now emerging into the light,” Biden said during remarks at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland. “We’ve turned the tide on a once-in-a-century pandemic. We’ve turned the tide on a once-in-a-generation economic crisis, and families are beginning to be able to breathe just a little bit easier. We still have work to do, but our future today is as bright and wide open as it ever has been.” Biden never once mentioned Operation Warp Speed.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), the embattled former Republican conference chair, during an interview Wednesday with the Wall Street Journal’s “Women, Power and Equity” event, said she sees her “re-election bid as a referendum on the future of the Republican Party.” The Wyoming Republican said voters are “potentially facing a choice between what she sees as traditional conservative values and loyalty to former President Donald Trump.” She said she already sees the upcoming 2022 midterm election as being a difficult one for her. Cheney was ousted by her party from leadership earlier this month for having repeatedly criticized former President Donald Trump for his past statements on the 2020 election.

President Joe Biden mistakenly blamed the “Tuskegee airmen” training program for fueling black American hesitancy about the coronavirus vaccine. “By the way, many of the older members of that community had memories of experimentation on black Americans that were not told about, like what happened, with the, you know, Tuskegee airmen and all those tests,” Biden said. “And so there was a great reluctance.” [Video] Biden spoke about vaccine hesitancy in the black community during an interview with YouTube star Jackie Aina. But the Tuskegee Flight Training Program was focused on testing and proving the ability of black Americans to fight in combat, not medical experimentation.

It’s not an accident that most Americans are just starting to hear about the lab leak theory of COVID-19 origin as a potential legitimate source for the global pandemic’s outbreak. It’s because the theory was suppressed for more than a year by corporate media fact-checkers and their allies in Big Tech. The pages of The New York Times and The Washington Post have been filled with articles in recent weeks about the newfound potential legitimacy of the lab-leak theory. The theory posits that COVID-19 was accidentally released from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, potentially after being genetically engineered as a part of “gain-of-function” research.Evidence for the lab-leak theory has

Obama earned rightful derision for the fact that, no matter the occasion, his tweets were always about Obama. Memorably, when he marked the 58th anniversary of Rosa Parks's refusal to sit on the back of the bus, his tweet, rather than picturing Parks, pictured Obama on the bus, gazing wistfully out the window. However, at least he acknowledged the occasion. Kamala Harris took things to a whole new level when her Memorial Day tweet had a picture of her smiling, along with the breezy message to “Enjoy the long weekend.” Of course, Memorial Day is not just an opportunity for a three-day weekend.

It’s the jab or the job. Employers are allowed under federal law to require workers to get a COVID-19 vaccine before they can physically return to the workplace, according to updated guidance issued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Friday. But they must provide “reasonable accommodations” for workers who refuse the shots because of a disability—including pregnancy—or for religious reasons, the agency said. The decision may mean unvaccinated employees could be required to wear masks, or to work remotely. The EEOC’s rules also gave the green light to companies offering incentives as a means of encouraging staffers to get vaccinated,
