NFL assistant coach Eugene Chung says he was told Asians are not the “right minority” when he interviewed for a job this past offseason. Despite a resume that includes 55 games of experience as an NFL offensive tackle–the first Asian American first-round draft pick in history–and 10 seasons as an assistant coach under Super Bowl winners Andy Reid and Doug Pederson, Chung was turned away.(Snip) The rule is not intended to exclusively help black candidates gain opportunities, as it also applies to females, Latinos, Asians and other minority groups. Soon it won't be enough to be bLACK, but also bLACK and down-low homosexual or transgender, like we endured in the Spite House for 8 long years. Or maybe LatinX, but also an HIV-positive drag queen on the side. Once those lives matter, then being Korean might no longer be unacceptable to the New NFL.

this will not fix the racism, but I just watched some rugby and I could see it doing what soccer has not, become America's sport. It is football without the rules and pads. Darned if I could figure out the rules, but every "play" seemed to end with someone being checked by a Dr.

Lived and worked with a lot of British rugby players. The head injuries must add up because these guys are BIG, STRONG and CRAZY. Broke up the airport in Brazil. The game was pull a condom over your head. Then inhale (mouth) and exhale (nose) until the condom popped. Longest time buys a round. I am NOT making this up.

Clear that they are only interested in one minority - the one that raises hell and burns cities when thwarted or “disrespected”. Sickening. The NFL has expanded the Rooney Rule to promote minority hiring beyond just head coach vacancies, to include front-office and coordinator positions. The rule is not intended to exclusively help black candidates gain opportunities, as it also applies to females, Latinos, Asians and other minority groups. Teams that develop minority candidates who are hired to premium positions are rewarded with extra draft picks. But Chung felt overlooked during his interview. “Overlooked” may be the understatement of the year. Intentionally rejected for being the wrong minority.
