Israel had a relatively quiet night on Wednesday without rocket sirens since about 1 am until Thursday morning.
The quiet came as Israel and Hamas are said to be close to a possible ceasefire that could go into effect as soon as Thursday evening or Friday night.
A senior Hamas official told CNN on Wednesday night that he expects a ceasefire agreement to be reached within the next couple of days, Israeli media reported.
"I think ceasefire mediation will work,” deputy head of the Hamas political branch Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook said. “The equation was clear
Is the Gaza molten glass yet ? They started it.

Mohammed taught his followers to call for a truce when they realize they're about to lose. However, a truce cannot last for more than ten years.

Pity. I enjoyed the videos of the Gaza high-rises pancaking down like Muslims did to our World Trade Center.
Israelis should get serious and elect Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister directly. The anti-Netanyahu fantasy they are living now will only bring them more death. And they should instruct their members of the Tribe and Secret Lodges in US to stop supporting Democrats. In the end it will be counterproductive for the de Rothschild New World Order Globalism they have so patiently constructed.

This article appears to be about Hamas saying a ceasefire is close. Israel appears to be handling their business, and it's about darn time they did. Finish the dang job, Israel.

Yeah, a ceasefire would work really easily. All you have to do is stop firing all those rockets in to Israel. Don't quit now, boys. Israel hasn't wiped you out yet.

This is not Netanyahu's first rodeo. He will pounce as soon as the next rocket crosses into Israel.

Wars end when you kill enough bad guys so the ones that remain no longer have the will to fight. And the more of them you kill, the longer it takes for any of the remaining ones to want to fight again.

Israel is in good hands with Bibi calling the shots. Enough is enough. Hamas is overdue for anything Israel wants to do to them. They have had generous offers of peace and rejected them because peace is not what motivates them. Their goal is the total destruction of Israel. Netanyahu has stated, If the enemies of Israel put down their weapons today, there would be peace. However, if Israel put down her weapons today, there would be no Israel tomorrow.
To our Jewish friends in this country who do not support Israel, open your eyes and see that country is not the enemy. She is the wronged party in this conflict. Israel has not had one moment of peace to speak of since 1948. This country represents the God of your people and why you refuse to support her is a mystery.

Hamas is out of rockets, so will ceasefire for a while. At least, Hamas will ceasefire until they get more funding from the U.S. to buy more rockets from Iran. Now, the U.S. will be funding the rebuilding of Gaza. I don't think Hamas has paid a high enough price for what they have done. Hamas still has an army of terrorists. They should be eliminated before any ceasefire.

"forms of protests, like stabbings".
If your life doesn't matter to the media when you get stabbed or have explosives used against you, it isn't attempted murder, it's just a protest by someone whose life does matter.

Hamas ran out of 250m of ammo. Waiting for more money from Biden to continue their rocket barrage. 250m just doesn't go very far and buy as much as it use to.

Agree this is just reloading. Act 2 will start shortly. This will go on for one to three months until Hamas really does exhaust all their ammo. Then Hamas will want a real ceasefire. Israel will be pressured to go along because they are supposedly murdering children. Nevermind a certain number of children miraculously return to life once the cameras are turned off.
Rinse and repeat in a couple of years.

So predictable... plead for a ceasefire when Hamas has had enough... I'd give them one more taste of Israel's might and then... perhaps talk...no concessions from Israel...this is not the good ole days of prior administrations... like bubba and bush and obama...this is a confident Israel with an arsenal that can defend herself...thanks to President Trump...who will be back in charge someday soon....

There have been lulls but basically it seems to be a pause to set up the next rockets. I don't know if it will go on one to three months. The pressure on us to stop before finishing Hamas/PIJ/various other permutations of the Muslim Brotherhood is immense. And means we have to to this over again in a year or two. I may not be in a heavily shelled area (no free of sirens but less) but phone conversations with people in other cities are constantly interrupted by the need to run to a safe space (unfortunately a significant percentage of Israelis live in older homes--older than the Gulf War-- and don't have sealed rooms and many public bomb shelters are locked, dirty and out of commission, they are sheltering in stairwells. And we are finding that the technology for seal rooms is outdated. A direct hit on one killed a five year-old and put his mother and sister into the hospital).and you have to wait 10 minutes and hope that they will come back and tell you they are okay. I dare anyone from any of the countries putting pressure on Israel for a cease-fire to protect Hamas to state that they would put up with in excess of 4,000 rockets fired on their country or would agree to a cease-fire before ending the problem once and for all.

In one article I read their defense minister or maybe spokesman was saying they would continue until all the tunnels were destroyed. So I'm wondering if they are looking at a ceasefire did they finish getting rid of them?
But I never hold my breath because the next day after, the rockets start again.
