London - The International Energy Agency, which was founded by rich industrial nations after oil shocks in the 1970s to promote secure and affordable energy supplies, says the world needs to stop drilling for oil and gas right now to prevent a climate catastrophe. (Snip) To prevent that, the IEA says these milestones must be hit: Immediate stop to new gas and oil projects. No new sales of fossil fuel boilers starting in 2025. Electric vehicles make up more than 60% of car sales by 2030. No sales of new internal combustion engine passenger cars by 2035. The global electricity sector

Please show cause and effect. Show your work. Oil is a waste product of the earth. (And! Crude oil is organic!) There is no drilling off Santa Barbara in Calif where there was an oil spill in 1969. But more oil leaks out of the ocean bottom every year naturally than was spilled that year. When they babble on about the wild life I think about the oil pump in the parking lot of Hollywood High School

Oil and gas, as long as it exists even in the ground, will ALWAYS be valuable and essential. When they've taken entirely out of our reach, who then will 'own' it for future essential use?

OK - - let's all stop calling it "fossil fuel" and "crude oil ' - - because it is neither. The proper term is Natural Oil - - just like Natural Gas. Natural Oil is a blessing from God. It's as natural as water, sunshine, and flowers. Natural Oil - - the environmentally friendly energy source!

The huge oil spill in the gulf years ago from a blowout, created huge headlines of environmental disaster. What they found out years later was that much of the oil spilled was eaten by organisms that exist in the ocean.

Lets save the world by destroying human civilization. That's basically what these creeps are saying. They say the world needs to stop producing oil, but they really mean the United States. The USA should lead the way of course (/s). This is just another way to destroy the US economy. Here is a list of the top ten oil producers in the world: USA, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Iraq, China, UAE, Iran, Brazil, and Kuwait. Are they all on board with this? Of course not. How many of these countries are heavily reliant on the sale of oil to keep their economies afloat? Not opposed to getting the world off of oil, but it would be for different reasons. How many dictatorships are using oil to stay in power? How would Iran, Venezuela, and Russia fare if demand for oil dropped by 75%. Getting off oil is ok, but just cutting production is suicide. Lower the demand first, and oil production drops automatically. Good luck with that, btw. Name an energy source cheaper and more efficient than oil.

#11, yes, exactly. I worked on a joint project with a US company and a Ukrainian research institute developing a bacteria-enhanced fertilizer. The US company also did business selling bacteria to be sprayed on small, on-site industrial oil spills. like at a refinery or chemical plant, to gobble up the oil, digest it into harmless stuff. After the big Gulf oil spill which the media told us "would spoil the waters and beaches for decades to come", they spent six weeks developing a modified garden tiller system to churn up beach sand and inject their bacteria into the sand below the surface to start it digesting the oil which had washed up and dirtied the beaches. After a very short six weeks of development, he took a couple of prototypes and tanks of his bacterial spray to the coastal areas to sell to the cities to clean up their beaches. Guess how many he sold? NONE. Why? Because the natural bacteria had already eaten up about 90-95% of the oil and there was nothing much left to clean up, a few tarry spots and tar balls too hard for the bacteria to quickly digest were all that was left in six weeks. Some of those small, hard tar balls may take months or years for the bacteria and sun to break down, but they will do it. So much for the "environmental disaster" that was going to "kill the Gulf for decades to come"......and did you hear or read even one follow up story saying how amazing it was that the environment cleaned up the oil in a very short time? No? I wonder why? It doesn't fit the narrative.

Let these people who feel this way need an ambulance and be told they're no longer running due to lack of oil. God gave us a planet that exudes oil naturally in many places, including the Athabasca tar sands in Alberta, and it's our job to cleanse the planet of all that icky stuff... even when it's found a mile underground!

Eliminating fossil fuels will not be sufficient. All energy production, in any form, must be phased out. A reliable source has told me that Hydro makes many fish feel threatened. Birds object to being minced by wind turbine blades. Lizards and rabbits and various plants cannot thrive under thousands of acres of solar panels. And millions of the Woke are slaughtered every year as nuclear reactors fail. The common goal of virtually all energy production is electricity. The ICE, the backbone of transportation, is the great exception and goverments are actively trying to stop that. Therefore generation of electricity by any means must also end. When that is done we will return to nights lit only by fires and moonlight. Just as it should be. I forgot to mention; Energy caused the Cov-19 plague.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. home construction fell a surprisingly sharp 9.5% in April and economists attributed that partially to builders who delayed projects because of a surge in lumber prices and other supply constraints. The April decline left construction at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.57 million units, the Commerce Department said Tuesday. That was down from a rate of 1.73 million units in March, which had been the best showing since homes were constructed at a rate of 1.74 million units in July 2006 at the peak of that decade's housing boom. The FBI blamed the attack on DarkSide, a cybercriminal gang believed to be based in Eastern Europe, and Colonial reportedly paid a $5 million ransom to the group. DarkSide operates what’s known as a

High unemployment. Rising prices. Gas lines. They're a bad memory for Americans old enough to remember the 1970s - but they're also likely causing a few sleepless nights in the White House, as the United States' economic recovery from the unprecedented coronavirus recession hits some bumps. The jolts are dampening consumer confidence, ramping up inflation fears, and helping Republicans build their case against President Joe Biden and his ambitious plans to revamp the U.S. economy with trillions in new spending. As the 1970s show, high joblessness and rising prices the United States saw in April can be a potent political force.
