The CIA may be in competition with the Army for the most “woke” recruitment ads of 2021. A new video from “The Calling” series echoes recent CIA’s “Humans of CIA” efforts featuring an “intersectional” officer and a gay man who feared “I may not be able to discuss my personal life at work.” “This is the story of a soldier who operates your nation’s missile defense systems,” the military narrator says in an animated film. “Although I had a fairly typical childhood—took ballet, played violin—I also marched for equality. I like to think I’ve been defending freedom from an early age.”

President Biden was either confused or misleading the public when he claimed that the last five former chairs of the Federal Reserve support his tax-hike plan as a way to boost the economy. The president caused a lot of head-scratching when he told reporters last week, “By the way, you saw—you know, the last five leaders of the Fed coming out and saying—what’d they say? They said, ‘Biden’s plan is going to grow the economy.'" What did they say, indeed? For starters, two of the previous five Fed chairmen—Paul Volcker and G. William Miller—are deceased. Of the others, only Janet Yellen

Tampa—A Dunkin’ employee faces a manslaughter charge after punching a customer who then fell, hit his head and later died, police say. The single punch that led to the arrest of 27-year-old Corey Pujols was thrown May 4 at the Dunkin’ store in the Marathon gas station at 410 S 50th St., just south of the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway, according to an arrest report. Pujols told police the man called him a racial slur. Police and fire rescue crews were called to the store about 1:30 p.m. and found a 77-year-old man unconscious and bleeding from the head.

Midtown, Manhattan—A man was hospitalized Wednesday morning after being slashed in the face in a seemingly random attack at the Times Square subway station, police said. Authorities said it happened on the southbound platform for the No. 1, 2 and 3 lines just after 9 a.m. as the victim was sitting on a station bench. According to officials, an unidentified man approached him and started talking to him, at which point he removed his headphones and asked, “Are you talking to me?” This apparently set the man off, who spit in the sitting man’s face and then slashed him across the face

Border Patrol agents in some of the hardest-hit areas of the migrant surge are being pulled off the front lines and have to spend a majority of their time processing and taking care of illegal immigrants, according to law enforcement officials who ticked off the grim statistics of the situation.
The Del Rio sector of Texas says assaults on agents have doubled compared to last year, and high-speed pursuits are up 40%. Arrests of migrants with sex offense records are up more than 2,500% in the sector, a region of the border that had been relatively quiet for the last decade,

A member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs is demanding the Biden administration shed some light on special envoy John Kerry’s meetings with his Chinese counterpart, the State Department staff of 45 he maintains and his “taxpayer funded world climate tour.” In a letter sent to Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) questioned Kerry’s April meeting with China, arguing that the communist country has proven itself to be adversarial and took aim at President Biden’s green czar for his recent comments that China’s human rights abuses should not interfere with a climate deal.

Hundreds of workers from India were allegedly lured to New Jersey and forced to work for just a few dollars a day to help build a massive Hindu temple, according to a lawsuit on Tuesday. The level of waste and fraud in unemployment benefits during the pandemic is staggering, even by Washington’s wasteful standards. The federal government has squandered at least $60 billion on fraudulent or improper unemployment payments in the past year, the Labor Department estimates. That amount is roughly equal to the entire annual budget for the Department of Homeland Security and, according to congressional Republicans, about $1 out of every $10 spent on unemployment insurance during the pandemic.(Snip)The jobless payments, including an extra $300-per-week federal benefit that Democrats extended through Sept. 6, have been paid to death row inmates in California and fraudsters in Nigeria
