Liz Cheney is OUT: House Republicans
remove Wyoming representative from leadership
in a move that cements Trump's hold on
the party - as she vows to never
allow him 'anywhere near the Oval
Office again'

House Republicans planted themselves firmly in the camp of Donald Trump on Wednesday when they removed Rep. Liz Cheney from their leadership team after her criticism of the former president. In a closed-door meeting in the basement of the Capitol, Republicans voted to oust Cheney after she repeatedly called out Trump's false claims he won the election and criticized his role in the January 6 insurrection. After a voice vote, Cheney said: ‘I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president never again, is anywhere near the Oval Office.’ Cheney had addressed Republicans in the room before the vote.

Comments:

What a self-righteous prig she is.

Perhaps Ms. Cheney doesn’t know that there are citizens outside of Washington whose interests are meant to be served by Washington. Maybe she doesn’t know that the 1/6 demonstration in Washington was a grassroots-led show of support for Pres. Trump that morphed into a hapless impetuous breech of the Capitol where no one was even remotely hurt except an unarmed protestor. Perhaps our Liz doesn’t realize that she lives in a bubble of greed, power, privilege and hubris that is becoming increasingly obnoxious to many of the rest of us. Perhaps Ms. Cheney doesn’t realize that times have changed and she’s become a dinosaur. McCarthy and Kinzinger are just a couple of untalented con men whose only purpose is to perpetuate their gigs in Congress.

Liz Cheney makes dire accusations against Donald Trump, but always without substance. He is a threat to the constitution, to freedom, all the usually mantra, but maybe it has more to do with the Cheney association with the Bushes. Was it bitterness over Trump relegating Jeb to outer Mongolia? Could be a lot of things, for sure it was not what she said.

1) Even James Carville admits that 42,000 votes in battleground states, going the other way, would have re-elected Trump. Is it really so impossible to believe in light of the extensive history of fraud by Democrats that fairly counted, Trump did in fact win? (And ballot fraud aside, wasn't the Hunter Biden laptop censorship alone likely worth 42,000 votes?) 2) Does Liz's statement that she would do everything to keep Trump from being president again mean that she would support Biden/Harris/Stacy Abrams/Malcolm X or whoever the Dems run in 2024? (Yes is the answer to that question). 3) Shouldn't she save her personal hatred for the Woke Democrats trying to destroy the country rather than a former president who tried to save it?

She needs to learn that now while there is still a chance for her redemption. However, that redemption needs to start with the voters of Wyoming voting her out of office. She will then have lots of free time to think about the evil that she has allowed to consume her life and destroy her political career!!!

what this shows is that you are either a card carrying member of the swamp of you are not. if you are, it's all an inside game where we pick up sides just so we can play the game. No one takes the outcome seriously. If you walk in as a outsider with real talent and want to win, that is not allowed. Notice how nice the bushes have been to people who treated them like dirt (clintons and obamas) and how they never seemed to mind. IT was all because that was part of the game

It raises the possibility of a complete break with the GOP and the creation of a third party in the face of what the signers term 'despotism.'

The Wyoming Republican Party voted overwhelmingly Saturday to censure U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney for voting to impeach President Donald Trump for his role in the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Only eight of the 74-member state GOP's central committee stood to oppose censure in a vote that didn't proceed to a formal count.
