Charlie Crist, the state’s former Republican governor turned Democratic congressman, is expected to announce next week that he’s making a second run for governor as a Democrat. Crist said in a recent television interview that he is considering running for governor and tweeted Saturday that he will make a “major announcement” on May 4 in his home town of St. Petersburg. Crist won the governor’s mansion as a Republican in 2006 after many years in GOP politics. He decided not to seek a second term, instead running in 2010 for a U.S. Senate seat, which he lost to Sen. Marco Rubio. In 2014 Crist tried to mount a comeback as a Democrat,

Charlie must have been promised the nomination when they “steal” went through for Biden. He ran “thank you” tv ads on all major media in Tampa after the November election signaling this was coming. My guess is that they told him they could steal FL. He will be drubbed by DeSantis, but actually may not make it out of the primary against Val Demming and the witch that is Agriculture Commisioner, who has tried to be a thorn in the governors side, but makes a fool out of herself saying FL is not doing well in the pandemic. Charlie is the least trustworthy politician in FL with the “what’s in it for me” philosophy.

The Democrats are banking on Crist because Gillum (last time) probably turned off too many moderates and there weren't enough hardcore lefties in Florida to make up the difference. Florida is a 50/50 state, but the Democrats have to put up a competitive candidate. Crist is a hardcore lefty that does a better job of masquerading as a moderate. Don't take Crist for granted.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, a group of prominent atheist scholars dubbed “The New Atheists” set about demonizing religion, and Christianity in particular. Books like The God Delusion, The End of Faith, and God Is Not Great argued that “religion poisons everything,” inspiring hatred, intolerance, war, you name it. Yet as America has become more secular in the last two decades, partisan rancor has increased, not decreased. U.S. church membership held roughly steady at 70 percent or higher from 1937 through 1976, according to Gallup. The average dropped slightly — to 68 percent — from the 1970s through the 1990s. A specter is haunting the Democratic Party — the specter of inflation. Inflation is an insidious tax that robs the poor and the middle class. It favors the U.S. government, the world’s biggest debtor, because the government expects to pay back its creditors in Monopoly money. It crushes the real earnings of the vast majority of American households and destroys their savings. That’s what the Democratics are up to. And that’s what might bring them down–just as 12% inflation brought down Jimmy Carter in 1980. It’s time for Republicans to cry “Thief!” and hold President Joe Biden to account for the disaster that has already begun to befall America.
