Democratic Missouri Representative Cori Bush, a member of the progressive "Squad," on Sunday called America "racist AF," after she backed defunding the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. "Our communities wouldn't have needed to spark a national movement to save Black lives if America weren't racist AF," Bush tweeted Sunday afternoon. The congresswoman's remarks come two days after she praised a "historic" vote to defund the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Comments:

Apparently the term AF is a grammatically incorrect adjective that mean As (the F word). Seems like language unbecoming of a lady.

Texas' Governor Abbott had the right idea. After Austin voted to defund the police, the governor moved to defund the city. I note that the Austin city council just moved to get the homeless off streets and out of public spaces so maybe there is hope for the city. But I can't wait to see how they propose to enforce these new restrictions without the police.

It amazes me that these leftists always only go half way. Yes Rep Bush, Half of America is racist AF. It's the Democrat Party and it always has been. From slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow, Japanese internment, keeping all blacks on the Dem plantation. Systemic racism is democrat run cities and police departments for the last 50, 60. 90 years. Finish your thought dems. You have been owning and oppressing Blacks since 1820. The problem isn't the Party of abolition.

The assumption is that the St. Louis Police Department commits murders. If this is true, how is reducing the budget going to decrease these alleged murders? Reducing the budget will result in an increase in the total of murders in St. Louis. Are St. Louis residents going to tolerate this insanity?

Cori, look at the FBI statistics for murder by race. If you are black, you have almost a 90% chance of being killed by another black person. Only 8% of the killings of black people were done by white people, and that includes self defense and other justifiable killings. Read the FBI statistics and base your opinions on facts you incredibly stupid cow of a woman!!!!!! If you gave a tinker's damn about black people, you would be working to stop the black-on-black killing -- not the tiny number of black people killed by police (almost always justified)!!!

#1, no, the Communist city council and mayor of Austin allowed the homeless to camp and panhandle anywhere they wanted the last couple of years. Homeless tent cities were popping up everywhere. They were dangerous and unsanitary and destroyed our beautiful city. Several of them caught fire. They could panhandle without consequences, making it totally unsafe for any normal person (especially women) to be anywhere near them, since most of them are mentally ill and get violent and agitated when you tell them "no". No, it was a citizen's petition that forced them to put it on the ballot on May 1st. Even in the super lie-beral snowflake city of Austin, the change to the law to make public camping and panhandling illegal again passed by nearly 60%!!! Even a large majority of lie-berals had had enough!!! I do not expect the mayor and city council to accept this, and they will try to find new ways to get around the will of the peasants. But I am hoping Gov. Abbott and the legislature will make sure they have to follow the will of the people!!!!!

Stop and think folks, it is becoming obvious that the communists in charge are intent on replacing all local police with a National police like Stasi or KGB to control everyone and assure compliance with the politburo. "Defund Police " has no other purpose because even the libs know you have to have control to enforce the "Law". Notice how laws are being changed.

She is a representative of the people. The people elected her and others like her. I know we hate to admit that, and don't abide the apparent consequences of these choices. Her district includes all of the city of St. Louis and most of northern St. Louis County. These people can now reap the consequences of their elected representation. They deserve their democratic choice "good and hard", as Mencken put it. Maybe they can manufacture utopia out of this mess. Let's all watch to see...

Let's be very clear about this. Discrimination in 2021 America has virtually nothing to do with skin color and pretty much everything to do with a subculture that doesn't value fathers, education, and all too often human life. This subculture (especially among black Americans) is encouraged by those who can gain power and/or money by encouraging bad behavior. I'm looking at you race hustlers (for example Al Sharpton and Ben Crump) and at the Democratic Party going back many decades or more. Special recognition goes to Lyndon Johnson and Barack Obama. But the list of others is in the hundreds of millions. I view all people first as children of God and my literal spiritual brothers and sisters. A person's ethnicity, cultural past and upbringing are interesting parts of an individual. But BEHAVIOR of each individual person, and NOT SKIN COLOR or other physical characteristics, is how I judge the people I encounter.

Seasonal influenza, also known as “the flu,” visits America every year, similar to tornados, thunderstorms, heat waves, and snowstorms. As tracked by the CDC, over the past decade symptomatic flu cases ranged from 9 to 45 million cases per year in the US. Hospitalizations varied from 140 to 810 thousand, and deaths from 12 to 61 thousand, depending on the particular year, strain of influenza, and effectiveness of the vaccine. This year, “flu activity is unusually low at this time” according to CDC surveillance.
