Pressure on Big Tech from

The recent pressure on Big Tech from Republicans is working, and they should keep it up. On Monday, Apple announced that it will allow Parler back on its App Store. Apple’s decision comes in response to a letter sent a few weeks ago by Colorado Republican Rep. Ken Buck and Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee to Apple, Google, and Amazon over their treatment of Parler in the wake of the events on Jan. 6 at the Capitol. They demanded answers on whether the companies handled Parler’s suspensions differently from their usual review processes and whether they coordinated at all in

Comments:

Maybe Big Tech is simply learning to count. Just a tiny shift in Congressional seats and the Dems lose their majorities and their ability to shield Big Tech.

Do something meaningful, like take back the stolen government that rightfully belongs to Donald Trump. We'll handle the socialist media.

Those companies can try to walk back a little or a lot, but this Trump supporting patriot is never going to give them one more penny of my hard-earned income. And that applies to all of the other woke corporations too.

The day will come when ''Big Tech'' can no longer hide behind democrat skirts. That will be a big day of reckoning. It will find out how many enemies it has made among the people it has abused with it's democrat-enabled power. America will celebrate! The rest of the World will too.

We need more than pressure. We need action. Big Tech has everyone's privacy on their systems, and is sharing it illegally. Big Tech is interfering in our elections, and putting a thumb on the scale. Big Tech is censuring free speech. Big Tech is monitoring every move we make. No, we need action, not just pressure. We need a break up, and fast.

I am not naive enough to think Apple got all shaky at a couple of Senators writing them a letter. I am glad Apple put Parler back in the App store but its no skin off their nose. From Apple’s perspective, one of Big Tech’s most faithful Senator employees gets to look tough in front of his constituency. Big Tech is happy to help Senator Lee stay right in the Senate where they need him. Senator Mike Lee who wants everyone to forget his recent HiB visa legislation. This law successfully STOLE the good paying software developer/engineering jobs from Americans and is going to be giving them to Chinese and Indian workers on the cheap.

WASHINGTON — The Census Bureau released state population totals that determine each state's number of House seats on Monday, with just seven seats moving among 13 states — the smallest shift among the states since the current congressional apportionment model was adopted in the 1940s. Texas was the biggest winner, gaining two House seats to its total. Following the Lone Star State, Colorado, Montana, Oregon, Florida and North Carolina each gained one seat. The losses were concentrated in the industrial Midwest, with Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio each losing one seat. Democratic strongholds California and New York each lost a

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison told CBS's "60 Minutes" in an interview aired Sunday that there was no evidence that Derek Chauvin's murder of George Floyd last May was a hate crime. Chauvin was convicted of murder and manslaughter charges on Tuesday for Floyd's death, during which the former police officer kneeled on Floyd's neck for more than nine minutes. Chauvin faces up to 40 years in prison and is currently being held in solitary confinement. When interviewer Scott Pelley asked Ellison whether the murder was a hate crime, the prosecutor replied: "I wouldn't call it that because hate crimes

MINNEAPOLIS — When protests broke out here last summer following George Floyd’s killing, Pimento Jamaican Kitchen was one of the few restaurants on its block that remained open. It became a community hub, feeding the hungry, distributing necessities like diapers and serving as a gathering spot for activists. So it was only natural that people flooded the popular restaurant when former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty of murdering Floyd. Yes, they gathered to cheer Chauvin’s conviction on murder and manslaughter charges, but they also knew it was but a brief respite before they would again be raising

Millions of Americans are not getting the second doses of their Covid-19 vaccines, and their ranks are growing. More than five million people, or nearly 8 percent of those who got a first shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, have missed their second doses, according to the most recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That is more than double the rate among people who got inoculated in the first several weeks of the nationwide vaccine campaign. Even as the country wrestles with the problem of millions of people who are wary about getting vaccinated at

COLUMBUS, OH – The Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus has joined hordes of untrained armchair quarterbacks, in order to render her opinion on police procedure after the officer-involved shooting of Ma’Khia Bryant.
