Having a direct line to at least two former US presidents would seem almost a requirement for achieving the status of world’s bestselling author. But it’s not the “former guy” who lives two decent golf swings along Palm Beach’s swanky Ocean Boulevard that James Patterson has a lot of time for these days. It’s Donald Trump’s predecessor, Bill Clinton, who has become a trusted friend, confidante and business partner.(Snip) Patterson, who claims to be a left-leaning political independent, was no fan of the Trump administration, and admits the pair haven’t spoken since. “There’s a lot of bad stuff that went on there.

So Richard, it's very likely you went on a ride to Pervert Island on the Lolita Express...right?

Wow! Talk about delusional!
This doofus "trusts" Master B. Clinton? I suppose he plays with rattlesnakes in his spare time.
Idiot!

James who?? Who cares what this doofus says! I will put President Trump's accomplishments up against Bill Clinton's anytime.

I tried his books. I found him unreadable. When you don't care if an author kills off his main protagonist (in this case, Alex Cross), it's tome to move on.

I read one of his books years ago. It was so predictable to the point of being ridiculous.

It's pretty bad when one begins his fiction is fact. If he trusts bubba more than Trump he's stuck in a fairy tale.

The pity of it is this is the sort of rubbish the Guardian loves to print for its 'holier than thou' progressive socialist reahdership, precisely how foreigners imbibe the wrong picture of our good guy Donald.

So, who cares about the millions of Americans who's lives were made so much better and he gift of stability the world received through President Trump's successes... compared to how much he likes the lecherous pervert that he has fun making him money.
Got it. It's all about YOU, James. Trying to do your best to make sure Trump doesn't come back and help people again.

I've never heard of this person, and if he thinks Clinton is a person to trust, is either a criminal thug like Clinton, or just a fool.
Either way, glad I never heard of him, and don't plan on learning any more or paying any attention to him in the future, either.

We used to read Patterson. Then his books became so formulaic and were mostly written by his various co-authors. Read once that Patterson would come up with a story line and the co-author would write the book. OP has it right. “Paint-by-numbers lefty factory writer”. Excellent!

i saw Patterson try to do a book tour and get mostly all questions about Clinton's misdeeds and none about the book. I thought it served him right for supping with the devil.

“There’s a lot of bad stuff that went on there. I don’t get it,” the author says. “I’ll leave it at that.” Such as, please provide some examples.

I stopped reading Patterson’s formulaic books a long long time ago. His collaboration with Wiily Jeff confirmed my decision. Stuart Woods is also a leftist, and you will find snarky comments about Republicans in his books too. Quit him before Patterson. If I’m reading a mystery novel, I don’t want the writer’s political views in the story.

The Guardian is a Communist rag. If the intent by publishing in Lucianne is to get our blood pressure elevated, I think that generally works.
I, for one, would be glad if Lucianne banned articles from the Guardian because no "news" from a Communist source is actually news and we've already got all the fake news we can handle these days

All his books should have their own section in the store called Reading For Dummies.

James Patterson seemingly writes a book a day. With the exception of his Alex Cross books, most of them are quite forgettable. I know Bill is a charming guy, but he's not a good man.

The only book I've ever read by Patterson was the recently published "The Last Days of John Lennon," and suffice to say that I came away rather unimpressed. The book was largely cobbled together using quotes and anecdotes that were long ago published in other sources, so much so that there was very little in it that any self-respecting Beatles fan didn't already know. If that book is indicative of the quality of all of his writings, then it surprises me not that he would become infatuated with huckster like Slick Willie.

Beware of ‘getting friendly’ with a Clinton. It usually doesn’t end well.

I got into his Alex Cross stories decades ago and would grab his latest as a backup when flying overseas - don't recall which one it was but when "...Alex drew his Glock and snicked the safety off..." it got thrown across the TGV rail car!

I tried to read one of his books years ago and gave up. His chapters are 1 to 1 1/2 pages long and there is not even an attempt at good prose. He is a factory writer like Thomas Kinkaide was a factory painter, with equally bad results.

Paint-by-numbers lefty factory writer describes his friendship with President Bubba, who gave him Monopoly for Socialists and a humidor for his birthday, despite being a nonsmoker, and presumably minus a Monica special cigar. What a stand-up guy.
