The number of people who tuned in to watch the three-hour long 'wokefest' that was the Oscars has hit an all time low with just 9.85 million viewers. The television ratings for the 93rd Academy Awards on Sunday night is a 58 percent drop compared to last year's already record-low 23.64 million viewers, according to early Nielsen numbers. The huge drop in ratings for Hollywood's biggest night continues an overall multi-year downward trend for the Academy Awards, which were above 43 million as recently as 2014. It comes after the Grammys, Golden Globes and SAG Awards all experienced more than 50 percent declines

Comments:

These bright lights could probably not learn to code, as most never graduated high school. They could recite "paper or plastic" or "would that be a venti or a grande" with great sincerity, so maybe there's hope yet.

Hasbro said Tuesday it would raise prices of toys and games to counter higher raw material costs as the company sees surging demand for its Nerf blasters and board games from families spending more time at home. Shares of the Monopoly maker, which late on Monday announced the sale of Entertainment One Music to Blackstone Group for $385 million, rose 1 percent in midday trading. The toymaker, like most US manufacturers, has had to contend with rising resin, packaging and metal prices, as well as soaring transportation costs due to high demand and supply disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.(Snip) “Freight and input cost
