Chicago — A prominent Chicago restaurant group announced in a memo to employees Thursday that all employees are required to be fully vaccinated by July 15.
Crain’s Chicago Business reported Friday that Fifty50 Restaurant Group, who operates the Berkshire Room and Roots Handmade Pizza, will require vaccinations for employees.
The announcement comes just as many colleges and universities have announced required vaccinations for in-person learning during the upcoming fall semester.
“We feel that by requiring our staff to be vaccinated, it will create a safer work environment for our staff and also a safer dining environment for our guests,” a statement from Fifty/50 group said.
Fifty/50 group employed approximately 700 people prior
I hope the employees stand up for their rights and don't go back. Close the restaurant down and stop this madness.

Because the “vaccines” lack regular FDA approval, an employer cannot legally require vaccinations.

Fifty50, no can do. HIPAA protects these employees from having to disclose anything or be required to get the covid shots. They don't have to disclose squat. You can't terminate them. Nice try, though.

Methodist Hospital in Houston is requiring all employees to be vaccinated by July 15, I think, or they will be terminated.

Considering that most restaurants and fast food places around here can't hire enough people (they would rather sit on unemployment), I would suspect this might cause a few more workers to walk. Hard to keep the doors open if you don't have the people.

Thanks for finally getting around to the restaurant names in Chicago. I am in no danger to ever go there willingly, but should I ever be kidnapped and forced to go there, I will have to wait in the car while my kidnappers go in to eat. Maybe they'll leave the keys in the ignition. ;)

It is my fervent hope that on July 15 this restaurant group has no employees and has to close their doors. I don't care about being "safer." I would rather be free. I will not trade one for the other. Hopefully all their employees feel the same way and all quit rather than be forced to have an experimental vaccine that has not been certified as safe and effective by the FDA.

How will this be verified? Will the employers require the "vaccine passports"? If so, cool. Since they're doing away with HIPAA laws I'd like to know which employees have been vaccinated AND who has an STD (including AIDS) and who's had an abortion.
I don't really want to be getting food from a water or waitress who's got herpes.

FTA: "Fifty/50 group employed approximately 700 people prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and is looking to build back up to pre-pandemic levels of employment and business without the fear of having to close a restaurant due to an outbreak." They probably hogged a pile of Covid relief "loans," which we've been told can be forgivable. Would good old Uncle Sam grant loan forgiveness for employers who quite voluntarily agree to dance to his tune?

So .... if all the employees get their 'shots' and they all turn up covered with blood blisters or any of the other maladies associated with these 'shots' what'cha gonna do Fifty50. Most other people are paid more to stay home than to work, so good luck with finding workers. This place/country is just a mess!

Blackmail. It will not matter how many of your workers get the vaccine if your customers don't come back.

A big lawsuit from an employee who had health consequences after being forced to take the vaccine, should end this foolishness.

What about people who can't take the shots because of medical conditions in the medicine they're taking? This is very discriminatory and is a lawsuit waiting to happen

Before the bullets start deciding this contest, I'd suggest we turn "lawfare" against our tormenters.
Vaccination "required"? Say yes. You've been vaccinated.
And when they fire you for sticking to your existing HIPPA rights (non disclosure, not producing vaccination "certificate", sic a lawyer on them). And continue on with your life even as they pretend they have a choke hold on it. If this means working in a different sector for the time being or remaining on assistance, so be. They are in the wrong. YOU are in the right. Being right never made it easy though. Prevailing in many fights often involves sacrifice and hardship... that's how we got to inherit such a good America in years past.

That's not good enough. I demand that you require that all customers coming into your establishments are vaccinated also.
Then I can watch your Communist arse's go broke.
