Surging Virus Has Michigan’s Democratic

WASHINGTON — The Biden administration and Michigan’s Democratic governor are locked in an increasingly tense standoff over the state’s worst-in-the-nation coronavirus outbreak, with a top federal health official on Monday urging the governor to lock down her state. As the governor, Gretchen Whitmer, publicly called again for a surge of vaccine supply, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said at a White House news conference that securing extra doses was not the most immediate or practical solution to the outbreak. She said that Michigan — whose metro areas include 16 of the 17 worst outbreaks in

What loggerheads? Biden and Fauci want to lock everyone in their homes with fencing (except, of course at our southern border, where new COVID cases cross every day). Whitmer wants to do it with chains and locks. As long as they are in power, they're happy. Who gives a rats behind what the other folks think? Elections, heck, we've figured how to make those fall our way.

#1, I live in Michigan and didn't vote for Whitmer, but I still must live with it just like you/me who has to live with Biden's idiotic decisions. Whitmer makes commercials for radio and TV, she's mama to the State and it makes me sick. She has no idea what she is doing and it shows. Everything we've been told about the Wuhan virus has been wrong, and the effects have been devastating.

#4 Ditto. Whitmer tried to make a big splash with the Democrats by destroying the State and basically removing everyone’s civil rights. She is a huge failure as a Governor and detested by most voters. And it doesn’t look like she has VIP status with the Democrats either. Sucks to he her.

I'll echo the points #4 makes. True, many people in these "blue" States voted for their nightmarish, destructive dem leaders. It would be wonderful if we could isolate them and make them live the results. But many others did not vote for those leaders. It's easy to say those people should leave and move elsewhere, but can anyone tell me where that might be? Is there a State that is only "red" and is in no peril for turning "purple"? And excellent point made about all of us having to live under the horror of Biden, which shows that, regardless how we vote, we can't escape the results. Where do "we" go to escape that? So, be it a State or this Nation, we're all stuck.

Well, if we can't beat them fair and square at the ballot box - we must learn to monkey-wrench all their plans. It's hard to fight back when the game is rigged - start by filing lawsuits. Pressure the red state govs with petitions, marches, and protests. If we don't, we will live for a very long time under a very bad thumb.

“I believe government’s role is, when we can’t take action to protect ourselves, the government must step in,” Witchmer is in a panic. Her own stupidity caused her problem and her extreme lockdown policies caused the population to revolt. Meanwhile, reelection concerns are right around the corner. It sucks to be a dumb democrat and even Creepy Joe turned down her plea for more vaccine. They all keep blaming the "new variants" to disguise their failure to contain the plain old WuFlu.

In the south, the sun is providing everyone with more naturally made Vitamin D. Not yet in parts of the north. If you want to avoid getting the Wuhan flu, take 3-5,000 units of Vitamin D every day. In sunny climates, if you get out with skin exposed a lot, you can drop it. But everyone's current fear of the sun, and slathering of sunscreen furthers their shortage of Vitamin D, a critical part of having a healthy and effective immune system.

So despite the lockdowns the virus is increasing. Seems lockdowns don't work. I know the vaccines have not been as effective as one would wish - 280+ people got the covid after they were vaccinated in Detroit alone - 6 of them died. But of course the state is not doing any 'patient education ' as #11 advises. Take your vitamin D, get out in the sun - with bare arms & a bare back - as those are the parts of the body that take in more it D. Also the sunshine increases the peptides that help your innate immune system & causes your body to make nitric oxide (?) which helps you breath better. Then of course the idea of the state banning HCQ was hideous. How much they have prevented the use of Ivermectin and Fluvoxamine? More patient education is considered quackery by these tyrants. Yet there are brave physicians who are advocating for the people. They recommend the Vitamin D (1000 -3000 IU) , Vitamin C (500-1000mg), Quercetin (which is a vitamin/bioflavin from herbs), Zinc (30mg /day) & Melatonin (6 mg at bedtime) for keeping you healthy.

If lockdowns worked, Whitmer's would have crushed the curve years ago. Her state is the laboratory that proves they don't. So a one-trick dictator's response is - more lockdowns.

MINNEAPOLIS — The fatal police shooting of Daunte Wright and tactics used to respond to people protesting his killing are putting Gov. Tim Walz increasingly at odds with the left flank of his base, threatening to fray Democratic allies heading into the critical 2022 election cycle. A growing number of DFL officials are calling for the first-term governor to reassign the case of former Brooklyn Center police officer Kim Potter, who shot and killed Wright, to Attorney General Keith Ellison. And Walz is facing a backlash for not roundly condemning tear gas and projectiles used in the first nights of protests

Washington state lawmakers passed a bill on Thursday setting a target to stop sales of gasoline-fueled vehicles there beginning in 2030, five years sooner than California. The target is not a firm mandate and is contingent on the state adopting a tax on vehicle miles traveled, a measure to help pay for new transportation infrastructure, according to the text of the bill. The move by the Pacific Northwest state comes as efforts to boost adoption of electric vehicles are accelerating over concerns about fossil fuels' contribution to climate change. Earlier today the defense rested in the murder trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin, charged in connection with the in-custody death of George Floyd. Chauvin waived his right to testify on his own behalf, asserting his Fifth Amendment right to remain silent during the course of the trial. That was not a surprising development. President Joe Biden wants cities to put more apartment buildings and multifamily units, such as converted garages, in areas traditionally zoned for single-family housing. As part of his $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan, cities would allow for smaller lots and for apartment buildings with fewer than six units to be built next to a traditional house. Current zoning laws that favor single-family homes – known as exclusionary zoning – have disproportionately hurt low-income Americans. Many of them can't afford to buy a big lot of land, leaving them trapped in crowded neighborhoods earmarked in the past for Black and brown residents, while white

At his first and only press conference, Biden declared the state’s efforts to protect against voter fraud were worse than Jim Crow, “un-American,” “sick,” and “despicable.” (This was the same press conference where moments later Biden bragged about how much time he’s spent with China’s genocidal communist dictator before calling him “a smart, smart guy.”)
