An editor at the Journal of the American Medical Association is out of a job after criticizing the concept of structural racism in the healthcare field during a February podcast. Dr. James L. Madara, CEO and executive vice president of the American Medical Association, announced in a statement that the journal had accepted the resignation of Deputy Editor for Clinical Reviews and Education Dr. Edward H. Livingston, accusing him of hosting a “harmful” podcast that “both minimized the effects of systemic racism in health care and questioned its profound impact on millions of people across our country.” The AMA’s CEO declared that “structural racism

Arizona's attorney general said Thursday Kamala Harris has not responded to his requests to visit the crisis-hit border, as Republicans released video of migrants crossing the Rio Grande just a few feet behind them. 'I guess if you were a philosopher you would say no response is a very loud response because we've not received any response,' Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich said in an interview with Fox.(Snip) During a trip spearheaded by Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan on Wednesday, Rep. Victoria Spartz of Indiana said: 'Forty percent of our Border Patrol agents are busy processing people and changing diapers.'

When congressional Democrats changed a formula for doling out coronavirus relief money to states, New York ended up with a $2.1 billion extra windfall, Republicans said. Now those Republicans say it’s striking that New York has just approved spending $2.1 billion in state money to provide benefits to illegal immigrants. “The $2.1 billion price tag of this fund is quite peculiar,” wrote Reps. Jason Smith and James Comer, the top Republicans on the Budget and Oversight committees. They pointed out that the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package approved last month specifically banned states that took cash from implementing tax cuts using their own money

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot were jeered Thursday night at the White Sox home opener against the Kansas City Royals.
Mr. Pritzker and Ms. Lightfoot were welcomed with resounding boos and a smattering of profanities as they were introduced at Guaranteed Rate Field, according to multiple videos shared on social media. The Democrats received even louder boos from White Sox Fans than the rival team, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. Both Democrats have been widely criticized for their pro-lockdown approach to combating COVID-19. Restaurants in the state were only permitted to resume indoor dining without capacity limits in March.

Miami—El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele refused to meet with a visiting senior U.S. diplomat this week over what he sees as a pattern of slights from Democrats and the Biden administration, according to two aides of the Central American leader. Bukele's decision not to meet with Ricardo Zuniga, the Biden administration's envoy to the so-called Northern Triangle countries of Central America, follows a similar snub he allegedly received from U.S. officials during an unannounced trip to Washington in February.
It also comes just days after Bukele's government awarded $1.2 million lobbying contract to the State Department's former top career diplomat

A former University of Virginia medical student can proceed with a lawsuit against the school over his expulsion—which stemmed from questions he asked about the nuance of microaggressions during a panel discussion that led to him being branded a threat, a federal judge has ruled. Kieran Bhattacharya sued the prestigious state university for violating his First Amendment rights and a judge denied the school’s attempt to have it tossed last week, court records show.(Snip) During a question-and-answer portion of the panel, Bhattacharya sought clarification on the definition of microaggression, asking the presenter, assistant dean Beverly Cowell Adams, if only marginalized groups

Gov. Greg Abbott has a warning for President Biden: Don’t mess with Texas when it comes to gun rights. The Lone Star State Republican blasted Mr. Biden on Thursday for a “liberal power grab to take away our guns” after a White House speech on the issue. Mr. Biden told Americans that he planned to end an “epidemic” of violent crime linked to firearms while stressing “no amendment to the Constitution is absolute.”(Snip) Mr. Abbott told constituents that he planned to address the “no amendment to the Constitution is absolute” rhetoric sooner rather than later.

Nearly 19,000 unaccompanied children were nabbed jumping the border in March, Homeland Security revealed Thursday, doubling the number from February and shattering the previous record of about 11,500, set in May 2019. The children were only a fraction of the total of 172,331 illegal immigrant encounters recorded last month by Homeland Security, with about 168,000 of those nabbed by the Border Patrol. That’s the highest monthly number in 20 years. Of those, about 103,000 people were expelled under coronavirus pandemic emergency orders, but the unaccompanied children and tens of thousands more parents and children traveling as families were not able to be expelled under current policies.

Mayor de Blasio boldly insisted Wednesday New Yorkers are unrattled after 34 of them failed to dodge a fatal bullet last month, after a 5-year-old Brooklyn girl was grazed by a gunshot Monday outside her home, and after a Times Square tourist who’d just taken in a Mets game was hit by a stray shot walking to his hotel.(Snip) That’s not how Marlene Alam, 67 and a Flatbush resident for six decades, sees it. “That’s bulls---,” she said hours after the mayor’s assertion. “I got attacked on a train twice… I have a lot to tell de Blasio. The park where care worker Alan Willson was brutally attacked trying to save his son from bullies is a no-go area plagued by drug dealers, families claimed today. Sellers and users were said to openly trade and take drugs, including crack cocaine, making Longcroft Park a menacing place to visit in daylight and completely avoided after dark. Mr Willson, 46, had to sprint there from his home in Worthing, West Sussex, when he heard a group were throwing his son to the floor on Easter Sunday. When he tried to intervene he was knocked unconscious—before his head was hit with an object

What sort of demon would send their child alone on a trek into a strange country, and what is the benefit to the USA of accepting such people into the nation and placing them on the back of the taxpayer? If not for our suicidal array of welfare benefits, these children would be safe at home, helping on the farm, etc, instead of being turned into young sexworkers in the barrios of Failed America.
