An editor at the Journal of the American Medical Association is out of a job after criticizing the concept of structural racism in the healthcare field during a February podcast. Dr. James L. Madara, CEO and executive vice president of the American Medical Association, announced in a statement that the journal had accepted the resignation of Deputy Editor for Clinical Reviews and Education Dr. Edward H. Livingston, accusing him of hosting a “harmful” podcast that “both minimized the effects of systemic racism in health care and questioned its profound impact on millions of people across our country.” The AMA’s CEO declared that “structural racism

The best explanation I can figure out from the "systemic racism" arguments is that they are trying to tell us that any system that works good is racist because the left says POC are too inferior to be able to understand it. I just think it proves that the people screaming about "systemic racism" are extreme racists themselves.

#1 " structural racism and systemic racism " is what the dems have been doing for decades. It's called the soft bigotry of low expectations. The lowering of standards , and affirmative action feed in to this. The dems believe that black people are too stupid to get anywhere on their own, so things have to be rigged for them. That is structural racism and it's been put in place by the very people ( dems/libs) that scream racism at others.

"Structural" or "systemic" racism:
> Only the Woke understand it, and the rest of us have to depend on them to identify it;
> We Deplorables will remain "systemically racist" until the Woke absolve us, i.e. forever.

Structural and systemic racism means WHITE people are fundamentally bad, so the less of them, the better. That point conceded, we agree to flood the nation with non-WHITE people, as we've been doing since 1965, until the point when WHITE people are in the extreme minority, just as they are across the globe (accounting for some 6% of the world's population).

Systematic discrimination is real easy to understand: The nugget is that the system is rigged by such as tests or standards that certain people cannot pass. So, for example, a woman has little chance of passing a special forces physical fitness test. The system is therefore rigged against her. SAT/ACT tests used to evaluate university graduates have a disparate impact on black aspirants, so the evaluation process is rigged against them. To make things "equal" there must be adjustments... Well, they handicap race horses, don't they?

Anyone who disagrees, who differs from the party line, who doesnt whole heartily endorse the accepted doctrine must be personally and professionally destroyed regardless of facts or logic.

Perhaps there's a pattern here.
Yesterday, someone posted an article on Lucianne from the NY Post. A student was kicked out of the UVA medical school shortly after asking for clarification of the term "microaggression" and asking if groups other than those that are "marginalized" could be victims of "microaggression."
The presenter told the student the definition was left "intentionally" vague and avoided specifics.
As it happens, intentional vagueness is a propaganda tool. I urge everyone to look that up. The terms structural racism and institutional racism are not new. They were being used in social science classrooms at least 20 years ago. What they have in common with the word "microaggression" is that they, too, are not clearly defined. When you refuse to clarify what the problem is, you're not looking for solutions.
The presenter told the suspended student that yes, people not in marginalized groups could be victims of microaggression. The student then pointed out that what she said conflicted with what the slide used in her presentation said. The student was scolded for pointing that out, and that "offense" was part of the "evidence" the upset professors used in their written call for his suspension. Pointing out the conflicting spoken words and what was written in the slide was a flaw indicating he was likely unfit to complete his medical studies.
Seems to me that if Americans are going to be lectured on their microaggressions, structural racism, institutional racism, and "marginalized" groups, those doing the lecturing must be held responsible for providing clear, specific definitions and examples of the "wrongs" they insist Americans and America are guilty of. If asking for clarity creates discomfort in the lecturers, that's a problem THEY need to address.

In my day, there were "hard sciences", research requiring solid, incontrovertible evidence, reviewed by Peers, and "soft science", which included psychology, psychiatry, sociology and the like. They were called Soft Science for a reason: There were no solid, unyielding answers to be reviewed- only differing opinions.
Soft science was even then (1970s) being influenced by politics. Somewhere in the 1990s, hard science became heavily infected by politics, who wanted a ready made emergency to scare voters with. I call this "Chicken Little" after the nursery story.
This goes right along with the farce we cal public education, these days.

Many physicians are former members of the AMA. I remember when it was a respected organization, and I actually paid dues. Presently it exists only by “gifts” from government mandates. Dr. Livingston crossed the line when he dared speak truth about a protected subject.

Systemic, an adjective derived from the biological sciences and medicine, and systematic, a process-related adjective, do not have the same meaning but notice how many progressives are confused by this.

The VHA is beginning to openly discriminate against white veterans. It’s an abomination. Your precious protected classes are PROVING that the southerners being mocked by yankees for the past 150 years have been correct all along. Pray that you don’t receive the justice that comes with such a monstrous and destructive error/treason.
