No need for another commission. Read the constitution, it's very clear. I'm getting tired of having my constitutional rights trampled on by unelected miscreants.

The Constitution does not prescribe a number...Congress may. The number has varied in the past from six to ten to nine (since 1869). FDR proposed the appointment of one additional justice for each incumbent who reached age 70 years 6 months and refused retirement, up to a maximum bench of 15 justices. A Democrat Senate shot it down by a wide margin.

I pray that the Republi-Can'ts have enough of a spine to actually put Ted Cruz on this commission, with the full understanding that he is allowed to be in full "attack dog" mode the whole time!!!!! But they won't. They will put a bunch of "play nice" RINO's on the commission that will go along with anything their Demon-Rat overlords tell them to do. I lost a lot of respect for Ted Cruz in the way he stabbed President Trump a few months ago, there has not been a more aggressive or outspoken Republican when it comes to defending the Constitution!!! I say set him free to be the attack dog he is if the Demon-Rats truly want to "go there"!!!!!

Just when I thought Biden could not get any worse, I hear about this commission. We know what the result will be after this 180-day commission. If he packs the Supreme Court with new justices, goodbye Second Amendment, goodbye any restrictions on abortion, goodbye to religious freedom and so on. If he does this, his power grab will be complete. He will have all three branches of government.

Our Communist compatriots already have John Roberts, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett in their pocket. When it counted most they ignored a dispute between the States, with very long-term consequences for the USA. The Heritage Foundation=Federalist Society did enormous damage to our Nation. What the Commies will do is to pack the D.C. Court of Appeals.

Joe Biden Today on Court-Packing

Earlier today, Joe Biden announced he was signing an executive order creating a “bipartisan” commission to explore ‘reforming’ the Supreme Court. As we explained, the commission would be looking at all kinds of possible revisions to the Court, including court packing. The commission would consider “the length of service and turnover of justices on the Court; the membership and size of the Court; and the Court’s case selection, rules, and practices.” In other words, Biden and the Democrats would look at all kinds of things they could do to politicize the one branch of government which was explicitly created not to be political. So let’s listen to Joe Biden
Is Race Discrimination Legal, Or Not? 16 replies

We live in a world in which race discrimination is ubiquitous. Universities, government agencies and all major employers systematically discriminate in favor of some races, and against others, under the banner of “affirmative action.” This has been going on for 50 years. And yet, the 14th Amendment’s guarantee of equal protection has been applied to ban race discrimination by public entities in a number of contexts. Similarly, the Civil Rights Act purports to bar race discrimination in employment and public accommodations. Such discrimination in employment is nevertheless pretty much universal; see, e.g., United Airlines’ recent declaration of its intent to discriminate

Joe Biden, Gun Grabber? 5 replies

Many conservatives are pushing back hard against a series of executive orders on firearms that the Biden administration announced on Wednesday. I don’t doubt that Biden would ban or severely limit private gun ownership if he could, but what is striking about these specific orders is how trivial they are. Biden frames his actions in terms of gun violence being a “public health epidemic.” He refers to the recent Boulder and Atlanta shootings, and says that “cities across the country are in the midst of a historic spike in homicides….” Ironically, that is true. But why? Not because of any lack of firearms laws and regulations, which are legion.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee has become the latest state to soon allow most adults 21 and older to carry handguns without first clearing a background check and training after Gov. Bill Lee on Thursday signed the measure into law. “I signed constitutional carry today because it shouldn’t be hard for law-abiding Tennesseans to exercise their (Second Amendment) rights,” said Lee, a Republican approaching his reelection campaign for 2022, in a tweet. Lee initially proposed the National Rifle Association-backed legislation last year before the COVID-19 pandemic caused lawmakers to narrow their focus. Looks like The Today Show just may have committed what Rush Limbaugh used to call a “random act of journalism,” as Townhall reports. They did a piece wondering why some of the states with the strictest restrictions in the country, like Michigan and New York, were now experiencing surges in the Wuhan coronavirus while the places which removed restrictions and dropped mandates, like Texas and Arkansas, had decreasing cases? Now, while they raised a good question, they didn’t come to a clear conclusion. They theorized that perhaps it was less testing in the southern states. Their target isn’t the nation state; it’s our nation state. That’s why they want to cede as much of our sovereignty as they can get away with to international bodies. Fonte writes: If progressive liberal esteem for the democratic nation-state is low, the mainstream Left’s depiction of the American nation’s particular culture, people, institutions, and mores is even more negative. . . . Science and medicine can do a lot to make our lives better. But for that to happen, we have to be able to trust the public authorities, companies and institutions that produce and oversee the innovations. We’re already seeing the sad fruits of distrust in the unwillingness of many people — including health workers on both sides of the Atlantic — to take the COVID-19 vaccines. People don’t trust experts and government agencies as they once did, which means assurances of vaccine safety often fail to persuade. When health officials and other authorities manipulate the public, as they have throughout this pandemic, they lose credibility.
