Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Throws Fastball
at MLB's Virtue Signaling

Original Article

The Texas Rangers baseball team had asked Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to throw out the first pitch at their home opener. Major League Baseball then took a stand against sensible voting reforms in Georgia, reforms that include extending early voting days making it easier to Georgians to cast votes. After Joe Biden shamelessly and repeatedly lied about that law, MLB moved the All-Star game from Atlanta. MLB’s leadership evidently did not read the law before launching an economic war against the state of Georgia. Texas is considering similar reforms, and American Airlines is among corporate America’s partisans taking shots at the law without bothering to read it first.

Like a lot of people, I was not happy with Gov. Abbott in his over-reaction to the Covid virus. But, all in all, he has been a pretty solid governor and a pretty dependable conservative. A few more moves like this, and I will be back in his corner.

Funny thing is MLB, NBA, and particularly NFL are so full of themselves that they consider their leagues to be the only athletics worth watching. They seem to have forgotten college basketball, football, and triple A, double A baseball at 1/4 the ticket price. Why do you not have a triple A ball team in a major city ? The "Pro's" can't handle the competition. Yes #1 It does not cost me 9 bucks a beer in Sugar Land..

Its fortunate that Governor Abbott has had time to watch conservative reaction to this MLB nonsense. He knew what he needed to say and he said it. Sir, be consistently on this track and we will be behind you.

FTA: ''MLB does business in China, which is credibly accused of waging genocide. MLB also does business with Cuba, a communist state that imprisons dissidents. If MLB believes Georgia is worse than China and Cuba, it should explain why.'' That's easy: No ID is required, in either country, to be thrown into prison or a work camp! Therefore, no one is ''suppressed'' from becoming a prisoner!

Biden spokesperson Jen Psaki has repeatedly told reporters that there is no crisis at the border. There is no surge at the border, people are merely “presenting” at the border. They aren’t keeping kids in cages at the border, they are keeping them in “soft-sided structures” that they can’t leave. While the people currently running this country have become the living embodiment of a CNN “mostly peaceful protests” meme, the crisis has continued to grow exponentially with no end in site. The Biden Administration is rumored to be in a bit of chaos behind the scenes as they struggle to message the deluge of illegal aliens

After the Austin city council voted unanimously to defund its police department by about one-third of its budget, in August 2020, many predicted that once the cuts kicked in a flood of officers would leave the force as soon as they could. The new district attorney’s policy of re-investigating police officers for closed cases is also expected to cause officers to resign or retire. The city council’s cuts officially kicked in and have been in place for a few months. PJ Media reports exclusively that APD is now suffering a huge surge of officer departures putting it on pace to shatter 2020’s record. In January 2021, sources tell PJ Media

Despite being given the task of “speaking” for the Biden administration on the crisis at the border, Kamala Harris hasn’t given a news conference in almost two weeks. On March 24 and 25, ABC, CBS and NBC were all excited for the Vice President’s “important new job” of trying to "stem the surge of migrants crossing the southern border." They hyped it on six different shows. But now that she’s basically absent, they don’t care. As Fox News's Sam Dorman reported on Monday, “Since the beginning of the administration and a week after Biden's announcement, Harris has fielded questions

INDIANAPOLIS -- Years before leading his team to its first men's basketball national championship by pummeling Gonzaga 86-70 on Monday night at Lucas Oil Stadium, coach Scott Drew led a tour of his team's relatively new practice facility. To unlock the doors, he put his hand on a fancy scanner. Inside, there were large TVs above each player's stall, which also featured video-game systems. There was a massive theater screen for film sessions and cold tubs for postgame recovery. "Don't say too much about that," Drew said about the amenities. "I don't really want too many people to know."

The Colorado Rockies will host the 2021 MLB All-Star Game after the decision to move the event from Atlanta over Georgia’s restrictive voting law, according to multiple reports. ESPN and Altitude TV reported the game was going to be moved to Coors Field in Denver on July 13. Neither the Rockies nor MLB immediately responded to Fox News’ request for comment. The 1998 All-Star Game was played at Coors Field. The American League defeated the National League, 13-8. Cleveland Indians second baseman Roberto Alomar was named MVP of the game. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred made the announcement to strip the Braves

When President Donald Trump blocked users on Twitter, some of them sued, claiming the president had violated their First Amendment rights to speak in a public forum. On Monday, the Supreme Court dismissed that lawsuit as moot. While the Court did not issue an opinion on the case, it stands to reason that Biden v. Knight First Amendment Institute (2021) would be moot because Trump is no longer in office and because Twitter has suspended Trump’s account. Justice Clarence Thomas wrote an important concurring opinion warning that the true threat to free speech did not involve Trump but Twitter. In 2019, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals held that the comment threads

By this point, most of our regular readers are likely already aware of the pending report to the Senate Select Intelligence Committee from the Pentagon’s UAP Task Force (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena or UFOs). It’s expected to be delivered by June 25th and should, if the Pentagon complies with the Senate’s instructions, provide a current assessment of what our military and the federal government either know or suspect about the unidentified vehicles that have been flitting around our restricted airspace for quite some time now. The idea that the unclassified version of the report will contain astounding, earth-shattering information isn’t held by many serious observers, and some have suggested

Jim Geraghty wonders why Major League Baseball pulled its all-star game from Georgia, but major sporting events are still scheduled to take place in that state. He cites the Masters Golf Tournament, as well as all home games for professional Atlanta teams and Georgia’s collegiate athletic programs. The senator added that he could support raising the corporate tax rate to 25 percent, but not to 28 percent as envisioned in the bill, because it would hurt the country’s market competitiveness. “It’s more than just me, Hoppy,” Manchin said. “There’s six or seven other Democrats who feel very strongly about this. We are often told to "follow the science." This is true of wearing masks, how we teach children to read, and addressing the perils of climate change. So we should probably better do the same with the economy, no? Consider the new Congressional Budget Office report on that very thing, the budget, the economy, and how we tax it. Let's assume that we want the Federal government to spend lots more money on infrastructure. I don't, because I'm certain that the money will be sprayed up the wall like the last few trillions were.

Navy Seabees have built Vice President Kamala Harris her own version of the Resolute desk made out of materials from historic U.S. warships. Harris' desk, which sits in her office in the West Wing of the White House, was put together using wood, copper and nails taken from the USS Constitution, which was commissioned under George Washington in 1794. The USS Constitution is one of the country's first frigates and is the oldest commissioned warship still afloat. It was launched in 1797 in Boston, Massachusetts, and now sits in Baltimore Harbor. Harris' desk has carvings of an eagle surrounded by stars from the Constitution's stern decorations.
