INDIANAPOLIS -- Years before leading his team to its first men's basketball national championship by pummeling Gonzaga 86-70 on Monday night at Lucas Oil Stadium, coach Scott Drew led a tour of his team's relatively new practice facility. To unlock the doors, he put his hand on a fancy scanner.
Inside, there were large TVs above each player's stall, which also featured video-game systems. There was a massive theater screen for film sessions and cold tubs for postgame recovery.
"Don't say too much about that," Drew said about the amenities. "I don't really want too many people to know."

I am a Texan. In the good old days, I would be celebrating after watching a Texas team kick butt on anyone else for a national championship.
But after watching "wokeness" destroy college sports the last couple of years, I sure didn't watch this game (or any game the last couple of years), and my give-a-damn meter just isn't budging.
Lie-beralism destroys everything it touches!!!

I don't have a dog in this fight, but i watched the game to see if Gonzaga could complete a dream season. Frankly,, Baylor wanted it more. They played with purpose and a goal clearly in mind and didn't take their foot off the gas all night long. Congrats to the Baylor Bears for winning an excellently played game!!

Baylor dominated that game for sure, and that takes nothing away from a Gonzaga team that demonstrated outstanding performance getting there.

Congrats to Baylor. I didn't watch the game. It was on too late (eastern time zone) I don't know why NCAA "big games" need to be played on a Monday night. Fix the schedule and play these games including the Super Bowl on a Saturday evening. But then again, they've ruined sports with politics, social crap. Sports is no longer a place to get away from it all...

Wasn't too exciting a game, so much so that I dozed through most of the second half.

I agree with #4. How about having the finals on Sunday afternoons instead of at night. We're retired, so we watched the whole game on Saturday, and it was a Barn Burner! Last night we watched the first Half, but that is about as late as this almost 80 year old can stay awake! Congrats to the Winners! I could have done without the "Woke" Writings painted on the sideline floor in four places, but i guess that's to be expected now! The singing of the National Anthem was Beautiful and I was pleased to see the Players standing for it!

I am not a Gonzaga fan. They came out of nowhere years ago and have been shamelessly promoted by ESPN and the other sports media. I'm tired of it. And I think it's just because of the funny name. Way to be, Bears!!

Maybe it's just me but I have never been able to conjure up interest in a game that is essentially the equivalent of throwing a wadded-up sheet of paper into a waste basket.

I’m a Bulldog fan but congratulations to Baylor. The Zags played in a daze in the national championship game about eight years ago also. It’s become a trademark I guess, which is why I call Coach Mark Few the Marty Schottenheimer of the NCAA. Close year after year, but no cigar.

Two Christian schools playing for the National Championship. I would think that would have blown liberals minds.

Gonzaga was desperately in need of more quality three-point shooters, and offensive rebounding. Their free throw shooting was also weak.

I do not watch any basketball. All the guys have to do is raise their arms and show their armpits and I am gone. I cannot bear it.

Re: #11 - Good on you for your graciousness and sportsmanship. As a Bear fan, I'd hate to have to play y'all in a best of 7 or twice a year in conference. Coach Mark Few and Coach Scott Drew both appear to be genuinely good men, who care about their player's moral and spiritual development, which is increasingly rare in big time sports.
