Surge of Austin Police Officers Leave the Force

After the Austin city council voted unanimously to defund its police department by about one-third of its budget, in August 2020, many predicted that once the cuts kicked in a flood of officers would leave the force as soon as they could. The new district attorney’s policy of re-investigating police officers for closed cases is also expected to cause officers to resign or retire. The city council’s cuts officially kicked in and have been in place for a few months. PJ Media reports exclusively that APD is now suffering a huge surge of officer departures putting it on pace to shatter 2020’s record. In January 2021, sources tell PJ Media

Austin still has a great history, but the present has become a festering pit of simple minded woke-ness. The Californication of Texas is centered in our otherwise beautiful capitol. Even our Governor has been gaslighted by the Cancel Culture Clowns with Twitter twits of all people convincing him to dis GAB! Twitter the prime vehicle for unsolicited twerking tarts and precious snowflakes advocating political and sometimes actual murder of conservatives for simply respecting the Constitution. If Austin residents don't want to see their city become San Francisco or Portland then wake up quit voting for Socialists pretending to be Democtrats! The good and bad of the franchise is the same thing. You will get what you vote for, of at least you will if we can recover fraud free election procedures.

Austin City Council has been salivating for months to find an officer to make an example of. Anyone who can get out of the police force is leaving. Anyone staying is not taking any risks at all. Crime rates are soaring and the new interim police chief has started an initiative to find out why. DUH.

#7, don't call it "Californication". That is not only unfair to all of us good, conservative Natives of the state but it is VERY misleading. What is happening elsewhere (all over) is what happened to the great state of California too. What destroyed us was the mass emigration from the lefty Northeastern states. All the crazy stuff didn't originate here, it was imported from the East coast. First came folks from the beatnik and folk movements (both had Marxist sympathies), and then the hippies and the Summer of Love crowds of spoiled and disaffected youths (mostly from wealthy homes) came, attracting other rebellious kids from all over who heard about the free love, drugs and music scene, as well as the surfing craze, in the media and movies. With more attention on the state, the lure of Hollywood, and the mild climate as well as the lure of the beautiful mountains and coastline, more and more people came flooding in. This also attracted the carpetbaggers from back East and even abroad, like Phil Burton (OH), Willie Brown (TX), Barbara Boxer (NY) , Nancy Pelosi (MD), Leo McCarthy (born in New Zealand) and many others. Also, we had a massive influx of foreigners, especially from over the border who came for work and had incentive to stay and that attracted more aliens, especially with Caesar Chavez fighting for their benefit....(unionizing farm workers) and many from dysfunctional countries bringing more socialist ideas with them. As they came, he left infiltrated and took over many areas of influence, including Hollywood. Anyway, I mostly blame the East Coast for the whacked out ideologies that ruined my state. Over the last 40 years, the conniving Democrats changed the laws, gerrymandered the districts, took over the colleges and universities, produced and distributed mass propaganda campaigns (with the help of Hollywood), and committed election fraud for years until they were able to turn this into a one party state. Now, they are concentrating on doing the same everywhere else, one state at a time.

#10 - Thank you. California was the laboratory for the Cloward-Priven strategy and now they're using that template in every state. The university system is the same in every state and keeps churning out useless idiots starting life with $50,000 of debt. Every state capitol has a "K" Street that makes sure the right legislation gets past and the right palms get greased. There is no time right now to keep blaming Californians or New Yorkers, those who hate America live in every state as do those who love America.

If you watched testimony yesterday, in the George Floyd trial, you could gain a better understanding how hog-tied police officers are. Police trainers/experts used training charts, almost gibberish based, on the matter of use of force, and use of restraints. And under cross examination, the trainers almost admitted it was gibberish. How did we arrive at this point, with police officers regularly being accused of improper behavior during arrests? You can thank the courts, beginning with the Warren court.

Biden commences his war on the suburbs 8 replies

Joe Biden’s “infrastructure” bill isn’t about improving America’s roads, bridges, and other elements of our infrastructure. It’s about transforming America as radically as can be done through spending legislation. We shouldn’t be surprised, therefore, that the legislation includes an attack on single-family zoning. Stanley Kurtz has the details. He begins by providing the context: With the introduction of his massive, $2.3 trillion “infrastructure” bill, President Biden’s campaign to end suburban single-family zoning has begun. If you think this issue was debated and resolved during the 2020 presidential campaign, you are mistaken.

This week, on the basis of whole-cloth lies, major corporations went to political war with the state of Georgia. The lies at issue revolved around Georgia's new voter law, characterized by both Stacey Abrams and President Joe Biden as a new form of Jim Crow. What do these dastardly new voter restrictions do? They require an ID number to receive an absentee ballot, with language identical to that of federal law; they bar electioneering within 150 feet of a polling place or 25 feet of voters in line, including handing out food or water for partisan purposes; they increase the number of mandatory days of weekend early voting;

Major League Baseball (MLB) commissioner Robert Manfred decided to move the All-Star Game on his own after holding extensive discussions with voting rights groups associated with Lebron James, Stacey Abrams and Rev. Al Sharpton, sources familiar with the move tell Fox News. Abrams and Sharpton told the commissioner players would boycott the game if not. Sources say that Abrams’ current stance, that she is disappointed about the Georgia boycott, is suspect as she was a key player in the decision. James has publicly supported the Georgia boycott. Abrams’ group and Sharpton also urged the commissioner to support other issues, including voter drives and H.R. 1

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Tuesday that about 8 million teachers, school staff members and other child care workers had gotten their first doses by the end of March. A federal push to give such workers priority access to vaccines "paid off and paved the way" for a return to in-person education, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said in a news release. WASHINGTON — Justice Stephen Breyer on Tuesday said liberal advocates of big changes at the Supreme Court, including expanding the number of justices, should think “long and hard” about what they’re proposing. Politically driven change could diminish the trust Americans place in the court, Breyer said in the prepared text of a long speech he gave remotely Tuesday to Harvard Law School students, faculty and alumni. His talk, Breyer said, “seeks to make those whose initial instincts may favor important structural (or other similar institutional) changes, such as forms of ‘court-packing,’ think long and hard before embodying those changes in law.”
