A great read and valuable observation. I have thought this for a long time. But it's worth pointing out one crucial way in which the American left falls far short of the Nazis. The Nazis loved their nation, their language and their culture, and heritage.They never for a second doubted the complete superiority of those. They sought to remake as much of the world as possible to be like Germany...only subservient, of course. The American left despises their nation, belittles its language, and seeks to destroy its culture and erase its heritage. They want us to be like the failed fascist states they adore, currently Red China; but Russia or Venezuela will do in a pinch. So...they are like the Nazis, but worse; and will just as surely destroy their country if not stopped.

Suppression of Free Speech 💬 is the 'tell'. Joe McCarthy was right. The 'Elites' of every stripe have been working for this goal for 75 years. I can understand the desire to control the most successful country on earth, but the democrats always screw up everything they touch. In less than 2 months they have entirely screwed up the border, resulting in a humanitarian crisis, just because they hate Donald Trump. The economy will go to hell after they raise taxes and environmental regulations, and they handle money worse than a teenage kid. Why do they want the responsibility when they are so incompetent, for the whole world to see? China, Russia, North Korea and Iran are licking their chops enjoying this.

Of course they can and are. Furthermore as long as the ends justify the means, even if some happen to see the parallels, they are more than willing to deny them. The supposed lessons learned of WWII have been completely missed and/or distorted. The "never again" mantra has existed in harmony with many "agains." What, we need to duplicate the extermination of the Jews down to the minute detail before we see history repeating itself? The real lesson; big government is not the answer to your problems no matter what they call themselves, no matter how they rebrand totalitarianism in a fresh coat of vocabulary. Turning to government power trusting government is the most disastrous deadly path humans have ever experienced. By pretending that the lessons were about the tactical details of how that manifested in Hitler's Germany, we have been taught to ignore and completely miss parallels in out own time from Stalin to Mao, Pol Pot, and now on to Antifa, BLM and the once American democrat party.

The tactics of every dictatorship on the planet have the same steps. Discredit the legitimate government, replace it with your own incompetent goons, deliberately ruin the economy, poison the minds of the children, remove all weapons from the people. America will put up with this sham unconstitutional government until it reaches step 5. Cuba, Russia, Venezuela, Panama, Cambodia, Libya, Iran, all went through these steps, not just Germany.

When the 2nd. Amendment and the First Amendment and the 4th Amendment all of which are under Democrat attack are gone, and HR1 is passed we will no longer be citizens. we will be slaves of the democrats running the country. Americans better wake up our our country is gone.

I seem to recall hearing that the Nazi's used the rhetoric of the Progressives to such an extent, they changed their brand to Liberals so-as not to be linked with the Nazi's. And, heard Ted Cruz state recently that Joe Manchin has never held his ground when confronted by the democrats. So, don't expect Joe to hold the line on the filibuster. But, not sure HR 1 has any legal ramifications for all elections, and likely could only be legal for Federal offices (House, Senate and WH). Which might mean we'd have to receive 2 sets of election ballots.

Great article! I am old enough to remember people asking the question, "How did the German people ever let the Holocaust happen?" I'm afraid I am asking myself now, "How is all this happening?"

This article exposes once and for all, despite the rhetoric from the left alleging fascist tactics for virtually any action by conservatives, that the true fascists reside on the left. They're the ones who seek to divide the people into various groups alienated from one another, to silence all opposition, and to secure one-party control over the government in perpetuity.
