Jimmy Carter: Democrats Should
Abandon Pro-Abortion Position

Original Article

Appearing on the radio talk show of conservative radio host Laura Ingraham today, former President Jimmy Carter said he believes the Democratic Party should moderate its position on abortion, which it currently supports without limits and funded at taxpayer expense.Carter said toning down the stridently pro-abortion position would help win back Republicans who abandoned the Democrats because of abortion and other liberal social issue positions.Carter said:“I never have believed that Jesus Christ would approve of abortions and that was one of the problems I had when I was president having to uphold Roe v. Wade

Well that's news to me! I didn't know Carter was against abortion on demand. I have a hard time believing him. Where was he all this time? I was a child when he became president. When I understood what abortion is (I was in 3rd Grade), I was absolutely appalled. And that's when I said no to Democrats and to Jimmy Carter. Within a few years, Ronald Reagan ran for president. I have been solidly Republican -- more Republican than most Republican members of government! -- ever since. Actually, to be accurate, I have been a conservative ever since.

I guess they will have to abandon their stance on taking God out of society as well. When you truly believe that babies are blessings from God, then you will understand. Just like how do you know what love is if you don't know God?

Excuse me, the democrat party should "moderate its position" and now engage in "toning down" the murder rhetoric, that is what he now counsels? The end of the line and he's suddenly calling for lying about the democrat stance on abortion? Bah. When it suited him, he went along to get along, but now calls for icing the cake of abortion, just to make it sweeter/palatable for the masses and the perverted democrat party? How despicable, how soy, how cowardly. If he truly repented of his silent approval of the democrat positions, he would plainly say so, instead of choosing the wimpy way out of agreeing to be agreeable.

This man is personally responsible for the dem party embracing abortion on demand as its main plank and the consequences ever since. 1976 was the first election after Watergate as well as after RvW. Anyone who ran as a dem was going to win that election and define the issue going forward. "Personally opposed" but couldn't care less. That's what he said. After that, every single candidate who wished to run for president in that party had to adopt that position. Both Ted Kennedy and Jesse Jackson renounced their strong prolife views to endorse "choice(!)". We have been fighting that murderous sophistry ever since. Congratulations carter. You own that. The bloodthirsty business it ushered in. The coarsening of hearts and the dulling of minds to blatant sophistry. You own that carter.

This isn't about Jimmah at all, and don't think Jimmah isn't in on the next evil. Ever heard of human trafficking? Thought so. Do you know the cartels are letting small time operators in on the drug systems while the cartels make billions more kidnapping and selling children as sex slaves? Research what the US Marshal's spend most of their time doing now. Freeing abducted children from sex slavery and doing pretty much nothing to the organizations involved in that sex slave trade. Carter's merely paving the way for the sex slave industry and hoping YOU fall for his anti-abortion sleight of hand. Fewer abortions, adopting children for sex trafficking will be huge money and guess what the Marxists like? (Rio Lindans, they like money). Stealing elections? Pshaw. Pumping out innocent kids instead of aborting all of them; adopting them into the"legal" system; then selling them into slavery; and focusing on blaming whiteness for slavery as their misdirection is what they're doing. Carter couldn't give two hoots about murdering kids and is just part of the next outrage; more "product" for the sick "consumers." And I couldn't care less if you accuse me of wearing a tin foil hat or seeing black helicopters. These people are evil, and evil is merely using a sweet old man to delude you.

People forget that in 1976 the Republican Party of Rockefeller Bush Ford Romney was very proabortion. Bushes held hands and skipped through the field of Eugenics with Nazis and Margaret Sanger. Romney’s mom ran for US Senate as a Pre Roe legalized abortion candidate. Carter ran as a prolife Democrat and got a big piece of the Catholic vote.

I always felt that Carter was a good man in an office that overwhelmed him. He was poorly suited for the presidency and the viciousness that inherently comes with living in the swamp. He upheld the law as written at the time instead of recognizing it for what it was: genocide. He was controlled by his party. Contrasted with Trump, there is no contest. He's like all of us--a mixture of good and bad choices; but he should not have been a president.

At Jimmy Carter's first election he was indeed the pro-life candidate. Ford was the candidate of the Rockefeller Republicans, funders and supporters of Planned Parenthood. It had bee that way for decades: the Democrats were the pro-lifers and the Republicans were all for population control abroad as a national security doctrine. Carter was the pivot - before his second election he Grew in Office, and by Carter-Reagan, Carter was the pro-abortion candidate and Reagan the pro-life one. Since then the parties have been as they are now. All the pro-life Democrats changed sides. Time was, Clinton was pro-life, Durbin was pro-life, Kucinich was pro-life, Jesse Jackson was pro-life. And all the others too. Since 1980 one after the other they have changed sides. Bart Stupak did not change sides, to give him credit. Since 1980, it has been the GOP which is pro-life and increasingly working-class and diverse, while the Democrats have become anti-life, the party of the rich, the party of the owners, and religiously bigoted. If you want to know what old-time anti-Catholicism sounded like ... OK skip that thought....

Too little, too late, but a rather courageous statement nonetheless. Nancy and the squad will be seething at this development. The MSM will do its best to ignore it and hide it from the masses. Sometimes, as old age creeps up on us, clarity does too. Even for a few dems.

#22 you are correct. Many repubs advocated for abortion. Some like Nixon mildly disdained it. The difference is, they were all losers. Every single one. Their positions meant nothing going forward, to the party or to the culture war, as they lost and carried no influence in the party. Carter, however, won, and his position became entrenched. Tolerance for child murder on demand, that was his positon. That is what we have today. And yes, his phony faith allowed Catholics to be "personally opposed" (but don't really care), paving the way for the insane dichotomy we have today, where a building full of dems applaud at the signing of a bill enshrining "choice!" for 4th trimester abortion. It was Ronald Reagan, an honest intellectual and a convert to prolife after speaking with Dr. Mildred Jefferson, who saved the party from sophistry I mean "choice!". He ushered in a sane alternative of plain spoken truth and gave us enduring leadership. Thank Almighty God in Heaven for Ronald Reagan and Dr. J. They gave us a sliver of daylight in dark days.

Over the weekend while on the ground in Brooklyn Center, Minneapolis, Waters encourage Democrats to get “confrontational” and to “make sure that they know we mean business.”“We’re looking for a guilty verdict. We’re looking for a guilty verdict. And we’re looking to see if all of this [inaudible] that took place and has been taking place after they saw what happened to George Floyd,” Waters said.

Black Lives Matter protesters were caught on camera harassing diners outside a family-owned Brooklyn taqueria—with dozens screaming at them to “stay the f–k outta New York.” “We don’t want you here,” screamed a ringleader standing on a table as he led an angry call-and-response chant from his comrades who framed the outdoor dining area of Maya Taqueria in Prospect Heights. “We don’t want your f—ing money! We don’t want your f—ing taqueria, owned by f—ing white men!” he screamed, with the mob repeating each line, as caught in video by The Post.

House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy moved Tuesday to formally censure Rep. Maxine Waters for her comments urging protesters to 'get more confrontational' depending on the outcome of the Derek Chauvin trial. The House voted to table, or kill, the effort on a party-line 216-210 party line vote. The result was to temporarily set aside an effort that would have served as a high-profile rebuke by the Congress, although lawmakers could still seek other measures. The move led to an immediate vote by Democrats to try to repeal the measure, which they are able to do on a simple majority.

We thought it was a breakthrough of sorts when President Joe Biden finally threw in the towel and admitted he had created a “crisis” on the nation’s border. Alas, just one day later, the White House issued a “clarification.” He was really just talking about Central America, not the border. So it’s now official: Biden is the worst president for protecting our border ever. We don’t take that charge lightly. But how else can you describe a man who takes a problem that was for all intents and purposes fixed and, within the space of a mere three months, turns

The meeting will mark Biden's first face-to-face meetings with the two leaders - whom he has spoken to on the phone

Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty Tuesday of all counts against him in the death of George Floyd. It’s possible that the jurors believed that the evidence showed he is truly guilty of a pair of murder charges and one count of manslaughter. But what if they convicted him simply to avoid riots? Unless the jurors agree to talk about their deliberations and share their inner thoughts, we’ll never know if they surrendered to the mob and convicted a man whose guilt they had doubts about. So we’re left to always wonder. Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld was exactly

NEW YORK, NY – New Yorkers are reeling from a rash of recent, apparently random, attacks on citizens, leading some to wonder if the “knockout game” is returning. A 47-year-old man suffered a broken jaw in January after being sucker-punched in the face in the Bronx. Police described the attack as a “possible knockout game.” Also in January, Catholic Deacon Frederick Kurr, 74, was sucker-punched as he attempted to swipe his subway card inside a Bronx subway station. Video footage shows a suspect, who had been standing at an adjacent turnstile, punching Kurr in the face. The suspect reportedly told Kurr not to call for help, and he also told his victim:

Many Christians are feeling frustrated with the Biden administration. A recent op-ed in the Wall Street Journal points to how Joe Biden’s flip-flop on refugees is frustrating evangelicals who foolishly voted for him last November. As the Journal contributor noted, they have a reason to feel betrayed.  Believers who care about values, life, and religious liberty continue to find that the new administration has let them down time and time again. While Biden may attend Mass regularly, many of his policy positions raise questions of how diligently he practices his Catholic faith outside the four walls of his church. CORRECTIONS*
