Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins toured the U.S.-Mexico border overnight with a delegation led by Texas Republican Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn. The trip continues through Mission, Texas today with a boat tour, but they've already seen the crisis first hand. [tweets:] 1 AM – I spent the last 3 hours with Border Patrol on night shift in McAllen, TX. 18 Senators learning about the huge influx, 3,000 people per day, including unaccompanied children, illegally entering. Mexican cartels control who crosses the border. A young mother from Guatemala, sitting on an aluminum blanket with her 1-year-old, told me she paid smugglers $6,000.

$6,000 x 3,000 = 18 million dollars a day for the cartels. How much do the cartels kick back to Biden administration officials?

Where does a young mother with a one year old get $6,000. Who is paying this? The cartel? They front the money then victim has to pay back the rest of their life? Just wondering.

So where and how does one illegal immigrant get $6000 to cross the border? How many of us would be willing to pay $6000 for a plane ticket to cross the country? It sounds like a corrupt slush fund is providing the cash. But where is it coming from?

Poster #1 - I have had the same thought. I heard on Sean Hannity's show that people are paying $10,000 and more to smugglers for entry into the United States. I heard a legal immigrant from Brazil on a local talk show say she knows of Brazilians who are paying $10,000 each to coyotes to get themselves and their family members into the United States illegally. And if appearances mean anything, they are not impoverished; they are well-dressed and everyone seems to have a cell phone. Still, how many American citizens have $10,000 excess cash to play with. Where do illegals get the kinds of money we hear about? How many American citizens have $10,000, $20,000, or more (depending upon how many people are being smuggled in) to give to anyone when they have to pay for rent, or mortgage, or food, and doctors, school, insurance, clothing, etc. for their families? Especially, with the employment situation that exists presently in our country. They'd have nothing to fall back on. It is illogical. Everything about Biden's Administration is based upon lies.

#13 - Unfortunately, the bishops and the Lutherans are on the receiving end of the monies. They are connected to non-profits and help the illegals get settled in our American cities and towns. I heard - again talk radio - that there are cities and towns in Brazil that advertise the cities and towns in the Unites States where they should relocate. I assume our government provides monies to the non-profits, along with the people who want our country to collapse. New-world order stuff. Collapse the middle class so the only groups left in America are the "elites" and the serfs.

Radical Democrats, not content to control all three electoral elements of the federal government, are urging that two new states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., be added to the Union. Legislation to make Washington, D.C. a state has already been drawn up. (Snip) Given that 100 percent of the territory that now constitutes the federal district was ceded to the national government by the state of Maryland, why should the federal government not retrocede to Maryland all of the district that is not currently occupied by the actual seat of the government, retaining only the facilities on or immediately adjacent to the Mall, such as the Capitol Building;

I expect more such losses as time goes on and the Department must actually present evidence in contested trials. The ploy of keeping in D.C. jails without bail some of the protestors who engaged in no specific violent acts at the Capitol until their cases can be heard was very obviously designed to compel them to plea bargain so they could return home to their families and jobs, and the three-judge panel wasn’t buying it.

There are 10 new ideas that are changing America, maybe permanently. 1) Money is a construct. It can be created from thin air. Annual deficits and aggregate national debt no longer matter much. Prior presidents ran up huge annual deficits, but at least there were some concessions that the money was real and had to be paid back. Not now. As we near $30 trillion in national debt and 110 percent of annual GDP, our elites either believe permanent zero interest rates make the cascading obligation irrelevant, or the larger the debt, the more likely we will be forced to address needed income redistribution. 2) Laws are not necessarily binding
