Gun control-drunk driving analogy leaves
CNN’s Jake Tapper stupid-speechless

CNN’s Jake Tapper, a man who’s ostensibly a journalist, shared the opinion Tuesday that comparing the pointlessness of banning guns to the pointlessness of banning driving is “stupid.”During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on gun violence earlier that morning, Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy pushed back on the left’s latest calls for gun control by pointing out the fruitlessness of trying to regulate criminal behavior.“We have a lot of drunk drivers in America that are killing a lot of people. We ought to try to combat that too. But I think what many folks on my side of the aisle are saying is that the answer is not to get rid

Everything has been said for decades now. There is nothing new to be added and nobody's mind is going to be changed. All this gun control BS is just another rehash of the same old communist vs freedom arguments that are made atop the still warm bodies of victims. I will not comply. If I turn in my guns and the law changes back, will I get my guns back? I rather doubt it.

How about we play word association: FBI, Bolshevik Russia FBI, Nazi Germany FBI, KGB FBI, Gestapo FBI, Police State FBI, Jack Booted Thugs This is what we are up against. I believe the Biden administration is ready to prepare a database of suspected and known gun owners to use when they think the time is right to begin gun confiscation raids. Although federal swat teams cannot arrest everyone, they can conduct enough high profile raids to intimidate many citizens into compliance.

To Senator Kennedy's point: Number of victims killed by mass shooters over the last five years: 10 to 100 per year. Number of victims killed by drunk drivers over the last five years: 10,000 to 25,000 per year. If statistics ever meant anything at all, we should be criminalizing all automobiles and alcohol. Anyone who relies on statistically meaningless anecdotes to drive public policy is a fool, and Jake Tapper is Exhibit 'A'.

Joe Biden specifically said assault rifles and high capacity magazines show a picture of that deadly assault weapon Joe I'm confused. I haven't read anywhere in the news or coverage of the mass murder of 'whites' in Colorado by the terrorist the weapon he used. Was it an assault rifle? Joe was pretty quick to designate the weapon.

Ronald Reagan said it best. FTA: ""You won't get gun control by disarming law-abiding citizens. There's only one way to get real gun control: Disarm the thugs and the criminals, lock them up, and if you don't actually throw away the key, at least lose it for a long time."

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg was ridiculed on social media on Friday for expressing openness to a policy that would pay for President Joe Biden’s massive infrastructure budget by taxing motorists for each mile they drive. “So, I think that shows a lot promise,” Buttigieg said regarding a mileage-based tax during an interview with CNBC. “If we believe in that so-called ‘user-pays principle,’ the idea that part of how we pay for roads is you pay based on how much you drive. The gas tax used to be the obvious way to do that; it’s not anymore.”
