Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), one of several GOP lawmakers who visited the southern border on Friday, said she could “hear the cartel members taunting” them across the river and declared the situation a “crisis.”“1 AM — I spent the last 3 hours with Border Patrol on night shift in McAllen, TX. 18 Senators learning about the huge influx, 3,000 people per day, including unaccompanied children, illegally entering,” Collins said in a Friday morning social media thread detailing her visit to the border.“Mexican cartels control who crosses the border. A young mother from Guatemala, sitting on an aluminum blanket with her 1-year-old, told me she paid smugglers $6,000,” Collins continued,

Hopefully today will be more than a photo op of “concern” and 2022 campaign talking points. Texans already know the dire situation. With the human trafficker & drug cartels now in control of the border, as BP have stated, so will these Senators demand our BP and NG be ARMED?

Did these senators take pictures. Would help to get the info to Americans on what it really is like at the border. What are these senators going to do to stop this.
I want to know. If that women who has a baby with her can afford to pay $6000 to come here illegally. Why didn’t she stay in her own country and use that money to better her life at home! I wonder if these illegals believe they are all going to live like the Hollywood beautiful people do in YUGE mansions.

Cynical As*wipes. Where were they she. The election was being stolen to enable this horror? Screw these Senators. Screw the invaders. The nation we loved is gone. Trump and the Republicans let it be stolen.

Collins has turned her back on us and now faces what she has helped create. Thanks for nothing, Susan!

To #2, From people I talk to that are close to the situation say that "Yes!". these people do believe we are all rich. Even the woman that wasted $6,000 getting her and her kid bought into a country All they meet in their home country is people that can afford that kid of vacation, and the fools think those few vacationers represent all of us.

This is what democrats want instead of working with President Trump nearly 3 years ago on a new improved immigration process - all because they were opposed to building a wall (or fence), and needed to resist him on everything.
Remember that televised meeting?
So, when people say they can't afford $250 application fee to apply to become a U.S. citizen, that's not accurate.
Just put any/all applying, or seeking asylum, at the end of the current line that's being processed to become a United States citizen. I realize it's about a 10 year wait, and it will be longer, but isn't it the most fair way for everyone (except the democrats hoping for the new wave of voters, I presume).

Repeatedly ask these GOP Senators why they didn't build the wall when they had control of the House, Senate and Trump in the Whitehouse. This mess rests squarely at their feet since they knew what the Dems had in store for the country when they eventually returned to power.

The smugglers bring the illegals over by pontoon boat. At least sink it going back so THAT boat can't bring anyone else over. Put spike strips at the shore line. DO SOMETHING

What makes these fools think those were cartel members taunting them. Maybe it was concerned Americans. Maybe it was American citizens forced to prove their COVIDS-free heath at $250 a pop before admittance to their own country...while the border jumpers get free rides and no hassles.
Begging the question, as this is an apparent crisis...COVIDS, criminal activity, human trafficking, extortion, conspiracy...where is the crackerjack Governor of Texas with his "emergency powers" to stop such at the border? It's a public menace with COVIDS, especially now that the state infection rate is under control and the governor's mask mandate unnecessary (with some persuasion by a peeved public). We are bombarded over television and radio about the horrors of human trafficking, with a plea to report suspicious activity to the police. Isn't crossing the Rio Grande without authorization "suspicious activity"? Or, how about loading 25 people into an SUV or van? But, Governor Abbot, like Rick Perry and Dubya before him, believes himself powerless. Someone might call him a racist. The man is a four-star doofus.
