This is aimed at her constituents. As of now 16 states do not mandate masks. Per AARP Kansas is a yes state but generally does not enforce the mandate.

I followed all the rules (wore masks, practiced distancing, didn't go out any more than I had to, washed and sanitized my hands all the time, etc, etc). I still got Covid-19 in late December (Merry Christmas to me). Mild symptoms, 10 days at home going stir-crazy, and back to normal. I am more convinced than ever that masks are totally useless. But this was never about public safety (or they would have shut the BLM riots down on day 1). It is about fascist politicians seeing how far they can go to control the masses of peasants using fear before we fight back!!! Sadly, apparently we will allow them to go pretty far based on some of my nutcase lie-beral neighbors wanting to have anyone not wearing a mask arrested (even though they aren't breaking any laws here in Texas)!!!

My son is a correctional officer at a private prison in Texas and a type I diabetic. Because of his disease he is hyper aware of hygiene and is always careful about not contracting anything. He wore a mask, religiously washed his hands, washed his clothes and took a shower immediately upon getting home. Two weeks after being assigned to the covid cells he came down with it and we all did too, minus the 9 yr old (9 of us in total). Out of the three type I’s (ages 25, 19 and 13. The 9 is also type I but didn’t get it), only 1 ran a fever for about 24 hours with loss of taste and smell. None saw a significant impact on blood sugars. I ran a fever for 24 hours and had light flu symptoms for 4 days as well as loss of taste and smell. The rest just had loss of taste and smell. Masks clearly don’t work and my 4 “at risk” kiddos had no issues. A year of dealing with this has brought about effective treatment for those at risk and, with enough exposure, herd immunity. This is a manufactured crisis used to control the people and steal an election, nothing more.

Actually, Queen Sheila, if you knew anything at all about human health, you would know that wearing a mask will actually shorten your lifespan, in the long run. Les oxygen, combined with less stress on the immune system, adds up to a body that is less able to weather the storm of biological life on Planet Earth. But, considering the people who would listen to you and take your advice, have at it!

#17 explains how the virus is spread. If you are in close contact for more than around 15 minutes with someone who has it, you will probably get it, mask or no mask. I know of a situation where someone got it from a roommate and spread it to her entire family. All of them survived with mild symptoms. Now we have vaccines and even a possible cure. More mask-wearing is not a rational response to this good news.

Mask Madness: Texas A.G. Paxton Threatens Legal

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton threatened to sue the City of Austin Wednesday over the city’s continuation of a mask mandate. Governor Abbott removed the statewide mask mandate last week and his order went into effect Wednesday. Austin Mayor Steve Adler and Travis County Judge Andy Brown are keeping a mask mandate in effect until April 15 to “avoid another surge of cases.” I assume that the mayor and county judge (county CEO, not a judicial office) are concerned that newly free-to-be maskless Texans will throw caution to the wind. On Thursday, a spokesperson for Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) told CNN and National Review that the moderate Democrat who has shown true fortitude in standing up to the radicals in his party will not be holding his own on one of President Joe Biden’s worst nominees. Manchin will support the nomination of Attorney General Xavier Becerra (D-Calif.) for secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). This makes Becerra’s confirmation virtually certain, and that is a crying shame for America, on many levels. First, Becerra has no medical experience and “little health policy experience.” This alone should raise alarm bells in a nominee for a key health position

Most Americans hate woke politics — and most minorities don’t share “woke” priorities. Indeed, according to pollster David Shor, woke excesses are causing black voters to flee the Democratic Party. Despite endless charges of “racism,” former President Donald Trump took the biggest share of minority voters of any Republican in my lifetime. Woke tyrants ride high, even so; according to a Cato/YouGov poll, 62 percent of Americans self-censor their political expression. Only a tiny minority of consumers care about Mr. Potato Head’s toxic masculinity, about “Aunt Jemima” as a brand or about the #MeToo aggressions of Pepé Le Pew. Biden stood behind his podium, often slumped over, squinting to read his teleprompter’s massive font. He’s getting worse, and it’s a sad scene. Regardless, there was also some semblance of substance to address regarding what he said. At one point, the president appeared to levy a fresh threat to re-lockdown the country if you don’t follow his rules.

Buried within the $1.9 trillion emergency spending bill that Congress sent to President Joe Biden's desk on Wednesday is a provision that could effectively block states from cutting taxes if they accept federal bailout dollars. That provision, added to the bill by the Senate last week, could put a halt to several states' plans to cut taxes this year as a way to stimulate economic growth following the COVID-19 pandemic.
