The New York state assembly has authorized its judiciary committee to start an “impeachment investigation” into sexual misconduct allegations brought by six women against Andrew Cuomo. The panel’s investigation, which would run parallel to one being led by the state attorney general, Letitia James, would be authorized to interview witnesses, subpoena documents and evaluate evidence, said Carl Heastie, the speaker of the state assembly. “The reports of accusations concerning the governor are serious,” Heastie said in a statement.

Killing tens of thousands of potential Trump voters by forcing proven virus positive infected patients into a captive population of vulnerable elderly citizens... oh that’s fine. But unsubstantiated allegations from a protected minority against a rich, straight white male that identifies as a male who is black on the inside, (nice try) - he is doomed. Riding a shark can get you where you want to be, until... the teeth.

Disillusioned staffers are abandoning embattled Gov. Cuomo, sources said. “I hear that most people aren’t even coming into work, and the offices at the Capitol are empty,” said one well-placed insider in touch with staffers in recent days. “He’ll fight and fight and fight, but the staffers I’ve talked to are ready for him to hang up the gloves. Everyone feels like there is an inevitable conclusion — I mean at some point will Biden call on him to step down? They [staffers] just want this torture to stop.” Rebellion in the ranks deepened

Maryland residents received some good news yesterday from Governor Larry Hogan. Starting at 5 pm on Friday, capacity limits were lifted for a wide range of businesses and social activities. These include both indoor and outdoor dining, retail outlets and churches. Gyms and bingo halls were also included, along with bowling alleys and skating rinks. Hogan credited the progress the state has made in vaccinating people and the continued decline in new COVID cases for the decision. Unfortunately for the people of Charm City, their new mayor was not a fan of Hogan’s decision. Brandon Scott immediately issued a statement saying that the current conditions did not warrant

Portland police detained a crowd of over 100 protesters during a Friday night demonstration, stemming a march only minutes after it began. The mass detainment was an apparent use of kettling, a police tactic of surrounding a crowd and containing people within a perimeter. Police told the crowd they were detaining everyone within the boundary for the “investigation of a crime” but did not specify the nature of the alleged crime. Demonstrators initially gathered in the Pearl District about 8:30 p.m. and started marching roughly a half-hour later. Police threatened to arrest protesters minutes after the march started

Whether the Biden wants to admit it or not, it’s a crisis at the border. People are literally flooding in unchecked, as this video shows. It should say south, not SE Texas. The Biden team is claiming that their response is humane, but as this new, CBS News report explains, they’ve reactivated a crisis — which President Donald Trump effectively solved — with their horrendous policies. So no, it isn’t humane when they trigger a flood and can’t effectively deal with it because of the massive amount of people. According to the CBS report, we’re hearing really bad stories now

Claim Biden Is 'Impervious' to Comedy

Remember the excuses peddled by comedians during the Obama years? This bright, handsome president is so smart, and thoughtful, there’s just nothing to poke fun at. We’ve tried oh, so hard, but it’s impossible. They clung to that nonsense, hard, for eight solid years. Jay Pharoah, tasked with portraying the president on the hard-left Saturday Night Live, later admitted the NBC show “gave up” even trying. Except when they used “comedy” to praise him. Meanwhile, conservatives pummeled President Obama with jokes throughout his presidency.

As we have noted several times, President Biden appears to be in a state of age-related mental decline. The mainstream media are playing the part of the courtiers and townsfolk in “The emperor’s new clothes.” Along comes historian and Spectator deputy editor Dominic Green to play the part of the little child in the Telegraph column “President Biden is crumbling before our eyes.” Here is the top half: Joe Biden’s decline has become so painful to see and so embarrassing to watch that it feels cruel to mention it. But it’s even more cruel that Biden’s team act as if it’s not happening

Portland is in big trouble. Gun violence is up 2 1/2 times over the same period last year and ever since the city council voted a 7% cut in the police budget, the city streets have exploded in violence. The police unit dedicated to fighting gun violence — the Gun Violence Reduction Team — was disbanded because too many black people were being arrested, which means it was racist…or something. Regardless, getting rid of a unit that did nothing all day but combat gun violence had immediate consequences. Former Salinas, Calif., Police Chief Kelly McMillin told the Portland police,

Shops, restaurants and schools will be closed across most of Italy on Monday, with PM Mario Draghi warning of a "new wave" of the coronavirus outbreak. For three days over Easter, 3-5 April, there will be a total shutdown. Italy, which one year ago imposed one of the first national lockdowns, is once again struggling to contain the rapid spread of infections. The country has reported more than 100,000 Covid-related deaths, Europe's second-highest tally after the UK. Italy's vaccination campaign has been hit by delays, as has been seen elsewhere in the European Union.

Jerry Nadler and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) have also called on the governor to step down.

New York—For years, researchers have said a lack of diversity in Hollywood films doesn't just poorly reflect demographics, it's bad business. A new study by the consulting firm McKinsey & Company estimates just how much Hollywood is leaving on the table: $10 billion. The McKinsey report, released Thursday, analyzes how inequality shapes the industry and how much it ultimately costs its bottom line. The consulting firm deduced that the $148 billion film and TV industry loses $10 billion, or 7%, every year by undervaluing Black films, filmmakers and executives.(Snip) The BlackLight Collective, a coalition of Black executives and talent in the industry,

And the proposed bank, or “ark,” would be beneath the moon’s surface. As our planet faces natural disasters, drought, asteroids and the potential for nuclear war—to name a few troubles—scientists say that humans must set their sights on space travel to preserve life as we know it. “Earth is naturally a volatile environment,”
