New York—For years, researchers have said a lack of diversity in Hollywood films doesn't just poorly reflect demographics, it's bad business. A new study by the consulting firm McKinsey & Company estimates just how much Hollywood is leaving on the table: $10 billion. The McKinsey report, released Thursday, analyzes how inequality shapes the industry and how much it ultimately costs its bottom line. The consulting firm deduced that the $148 billion film and TV industry loses $10 billion, or 7%, every year by undervaluing Black films, filmmakers and executives.(Snip) The BlackLight Collective, a coalition of Black executives and talent in the industry,

Comments:

There are so many homosexuals, mixed-race couples, minorities, unrealistically brave and empowered women, and soyboys, plus a toxic stew of vulgar radical leftist propaganda in the media that it's become unwatchable? On the contrary, according to a coalition of Black executives and talent in the industry, who say more People of Color need to be running the show, since we've valued according to our skills and not the color of our skin.

About all I can stand to watch now are cooking shows. I used to love to watch nature documentaries, but they were ruined by climate change propaganda all the time. Over the years, I have slowly collected a 200+ batch of DVDs and I find myself turning to them more often than not.

And in my humbled opinion, this is where it all starts. Elitists - whether they are part of Hollywood, a politician, a celebrity, a sports figure, or whatever, are the ones that seem to have the problem with diversity. And now comes along the idea of privilege. As far as I am concerned, the "privileged" people are the ones who escaped abortion. Quite honestly, identity politics has become so narrow and small-minded almost superficial that it is accomplishing just the opposite. My identity is in who God created me to be. He gives me the privilege to be the person I am. . .

Diversity is not a value. It is a condition. It has no inherent good. If it did, Japan would would be the scourge of the free world, for their lack of it. The historic value of ethnic diversity in the US was to demonstrate that a broad spectrum of humankind could be united by universal values -- principally equal protection under the law. The Left threw out the incredibly important and historic universal values and kept the diversity meme. Put simply, diversity is stupid.
