Biden Strikes Syria, and Jen Psaki's Old

Tonight, Joe Biden launched another salvo in the forever war. This time, we hit Iranian units in Syria, ostensibly as retaliation for recent rocket strikes on U.S. facilities. Why we are even still in Syria is a mystery the world’s greatest minds will never solve, but I digress. Some of you may be old enough to remember the consternation produced when Donald Trump launched a similar attack in 2017. We were assured that the orange man was going to start a world war. In fact, a certain current White House Press Secretary once chimed in on the supposed illegality of Trump’s previous strike.

These lefties are crazy. Are we ready for a nuclear retaliation from one of these countries who hate us? I wonder who pulled Biden's strings to order this. This man has no mental capacity to be in a position to be ordering military strikes against foreign nations or to have our nuclear button anywhere close to him. He could be like a boy with a new toy and cause all hell to beak loose. .

For those wondering why the Democrats need these ongoing wars, it is because it feeds the military and its industries. The Pentagon generals are all well paid members on the board of directors for Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics and such. These same generals and industry executives absolutely hated Trump for ending the conflicts. War is good for industry and it keeps the generals happy, a few hundred thousand deaths is meaningless to them, which is probably why COVID-19 patients were put in nursing homes. Killing off old people is good for the economy and will keep Social Security solvent.

This provides an excellent rejoinder to present to liberal acquaintances. Trump brought peace and prosperity, using smart American policies to battle trade injustices and bring about change. The prediction that Trump would bring war was soundly refuted during what was the most peaceful presidency in decades. Biden comes in and brings "Take him out back and beat the crap out of him!" bullying policies, and a return to a war footing while simultaneously eliminating our energy independence and weakening America.

People need to understand that it's called an "air strike" when a republican president does it and a "preemptive measure" when a democrat does it. To add even more mystery to this incident it appears that idiot Kamala Harris wasn't kept in the loop about the strike and seeing as Biden has a tough time figuring out what day it is the exactly who was it that called in the air strike? Odd reaction from a group that generally "supports the troops"... Had PDT ordered this strike in retaliation, who would say what? The issue isn't the "retaliation" but inviting attack with feckless foreign policies that include posting American troops where none should be. But we live in a world trapped in Cold War BS. The Russians are in Syria, therefore, as "Leader of the Free World", whatever that means anymore, the USA has to respond while the Euros stand by with a smirk. Americans must take the lesson offered by Washington to avoid "foreign entanglements", and he wasn't simply referencing military alliances. His admonition would include the Paris Accords, as an example of American entanglement in the globalist web. That's not being "isolationist" but being wise. We need to bring our troops home from too many overseas posts to Make America Great Again. The EU, Japan, Korea and the rest can take care of themselves. Meanwhile, who operates the Panama Canal these days? Anyone?

Much has been made on the right about the decision by Major League Baseball to move the All-Star game from Atlanta to Denver, ostensibly in “solidarity” with those opposed to the changes in election law passed by the GOP-controlled legislature. I was critical of the decision at the time, and remain critical of the explanation that was given — essentially that the State of Georgia had sought to wrongfully suppress the ability of minority voters to cast ballots. Most objective analyses of the Georgia law show that the changes put in place bring Georgia in line with many other states and that there are Democrat-controlled

As a senator, he defended the Hyde Amendment, which protects pro-life taxpayers from footing the bill for something they consider to be murder. Senator Biden also voted for the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) in 1993. Even as late as 2003, Biden voted for a bill to prohibit partial-birth and late-term abortion. Biden did indeed work with Republicans to pass legislation. In 1987, Biden condemned Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s scheme to pack the Supreme Court to support the New Deal. Earlier today, Joe Biden announced he was signing an executive order creating a “bipartisan” commission to explore ‘reforming’ the Supreme Court. The commission would consider “the length of service and turnover of justices on the Court; the membership and size of the Court; and the Court’s case selection, rules, and practices.” In other words, Biden and the Democrats would look at all kinds of things they could do to politicize the one branch of government which was explicitly created not to be political. We live in a world in which race discrimination is ubiquitous. Universities, government agencies and all major employers systematically discriminate in favor of some races, and against others, under the banner of “affirmative action.” This has been going on for 50 years. And yet, the 14th Amendment’s guarantee of equal protection has been applied to ban race discrimination by public entities in a number of contexts. Similarly, the Civil Rights Act purports to bar race discrimination in employment and public accommodations. Such discrimination in employment is nevertheless pretty much universal; see, e.g., United Airlines’ recent declaration of its intent to discriminate

Many conservatives are pushing back hard against a series of executive orders on firearms that the Biden administration announced on Wednesday. I don’t doubt that Biden would ban or severely limit private gun ownership if he could, but what is striking about these specific orders is how trivial they are. Biden frames his actions in terms of gun violence being a “public health epidemic.” He refers to the recent Boulder and Atlanta shootings, and says that “cities across the country are in the midst of a historic spike in homicides….” Ironically, that is true. But why? Not because of any lack of firearms laws and regulations, which are legion.
