Looks like The Today Show just may have committed what Rush Limbaugh used to call a “random act of journalism,” as Townhall reports. They did a piece wondering why some of the states with the strictest restrictions in the country, like Michigan and New York, were now experiencing surges in the Wuhan coronavirus while the places which removed restrictions and dropped mandates, like Texas and Arkansas, had decreasing cases? Now, while they raised a good question, they didn’t come to a clear conclusion. They theorized that perhaps it was less testing in the southern states. The problem with that argument is that if that were true then the hospitalizations and deaths

One thing for sure. Biden's moving all those migrants throughout TX will cause a rise in Covid cases, which is Biden's hope all along.

I believe that masks play a big part in contracting Covid. While wearing a mask and you've been exposed to Covid, you have sucked up and saturated that mask with the virus and you're breathing it in constantly. People are constantly touching those masks too.

I agree that the more open states have fewer cases. However, if I were on the other side, Fauci's side, I would bring up the fact that sunshine on the skin creates vitamin D in the body, and vitamin D is a huge factor in resistance to covid. The vast majority of covid patients are deficient in it. One reason Gov. DeSantis was correct in vaccinating old people in nursing homes first is that these people often get little to no sunshine, especially if they're bedridden, while most people go outside year-round, and other low-case states are in the south, where spring comes earlier than in the north. Of course, this is far from being the only factor, as we see by South Dakota's numbers versus California's, and Sweden's experience.

Joe Biden Today on Court-Packing

Earlier today, Joe Biden announced he was signing an executive order creating a “bipartisan” commission to explore ‘reforming’ the Supreme Court. As we explained, the commission would be looking at all kinds of possible revisions to the Court, including court packing. The commission would consider “the length of service and turnover of justices on the Court; the membership and size of the Court; and the Court’s case selection, rules, and practices.” In other words, Biden and the Democrats would look at all kinds of things they could do to politicize the one branch of government which was explicitly created not to be political. So let’s listen to Joe Biden
Is Race Discrimination Legal, Or Not? 16 replies

We live in a world in which race discrimination is ubiquitous. Universities, government agencies and all major employers systematically discriminate in favor of some races, and against others, under the banner of “affirmative action.” This has been going on for 50 years. And yet, the 14th Amendment’s guarantee of equal protection has been applied to ban race discrimination by public entities in a number of contexts. Similarly, the Civil Rights Act purports to bar race discrimination in employment and public accommodations. Such discrimination in employment is nevertheless pretty much universal; see, e.g., United Airlines’ recent declaration of its intent to discriminate

Mild-mannered Canadian professor and psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson found himself in a starring role in the MCU earlier this week as supervillain Red Skull. As PJ Media’s Tyler O’Neil reported: Marvel fans are well-familiar with Captain America’s nemesis, Red Skull, a man too evil for Adolf Hitler. Seriously, Red Skull sets up the evil organization Hydra to go where Hitler would not, and only Captain America can stop him. In the latest version of the comics, written by none other than Ta-Nehisi Coates, Red Skull draws inspiration from none other than Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson. Peterson initially responded with alarm, but it appears his loyal fan base rallied

President Joe Biden is set to issue an executive order on Friday forming a bipartisan commission that will perform a 180-day study of potential changes to the Supreme Court, including court packing and setting term limits for justices. “The Commission’s purpose is to provide an analysis of the principal arguments in the contemporary public debate for and against Supreme Court reform, including an appraisal of the merits and legality of particular reform proposals,” the White House said in a statement. “The topics it will examine include the genesis of the reform debate; the Court’s role in the Constitutional system
Joe Biden, Gun Grabber? 5 replies

Many conservatives are pushing back hard against a series of executive orders on firearms that the Biden administration announced on Wednesday. I don’t doubt that Biden would ban or severely limit private gun ownership if he could, but what is striking about these specific orders is how trivial they are. Biden frames his actions in terms of gun violence being a “public health epidemic.” He refers to the recent Boulder and Atlanta shootings, and says that “cities across the country are in the midst of a historic spike in homicides….” Ironically, that is true. But why? Not because of any lack of firearms laws and regulations, which are legion.

Amazon workers at the company's warehouse in Bessemer, Alabama have voted against forming what would have been the first-ever Amazon workers' union in the US. Votes are still being counted, but 72% of the ballots counted 71% voted have already voted no, giving Amazon the majority, The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday. Per NLRB rules for union votes, both Amazon and the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union - under which the Amazon employees would unionize - can file objections within five days of the count. The NLRB then decides whether the objections are serious enough to warrant

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee has become the latest state to soon allow most adults 21 and older to carry handguns without first clearing a background check and training after Gov. Bill Lee on Thursday signed the measure into law. “I signed constitutional carry today because it shouldn’t be hard for law-abiding Tennesseans to exercise their (Second Amendment) rights,” said Lee, a Republican approaching his reelection campaign for 2022, in a tweet. Lee initially proposed the National Rifle Association-backed legislation last year before the COVID-19 pandemic caused lawmakers to narrow their focus. He renewed that effort when lawmakers returned for this year’s legislative session, where the GOP-controlled

John Fonte has written an excellent article called “End Nationalism, End America.” For many on the left, that’s the point. They may dislike nationalism, but what they really can’t stand is America. Their target isn’t the nation state; it’s our nation state. That’s why they want to cede as much of our sovereignty as they can get away with to international bodies. Fonte writes: If progressive liberal esteem for the democratic nation-state is low, the mainstream Left’s depiction of the American nation’s particular culture, people, institutions, and mores is even more negative. . . . For more than 50 years, Americans have been educated by liberals

Remember the abandoned laptop that belonged to Hunter Biden—the laptop even Hunter himself conceded “could be” his—that was left in a repair shop in Wilmington, Delaware, in 2019, the one that he never came back for? Well, the Daily Mail received a copy of the hard drive and has reviewed the contents of the laptop, and there’s a treasure trove of dirty secrets in there. According to text messages from 2019, Hunter begged his father to run for president. Not because the country needed him, or because he was the most likely candidate to win… Hunter begged Joe to run to salvage Hunter’s own reputation. But that revelation is small beans

Science and medicine can do a lot to make our lives better. But for that to happen, we have to be able to trust the public authorities, companies and institutions that produce and oversee the innovations. We’re already seeing the sad fruits of distrust in the unwillingness of many people — including health workers on both sides of the Atlantic — to take the COVID-19 vaccines. People don’t trust experts and government agencies as they once did, which means assurances of vaccine safety often fail to persuade. When health officials and other authorities manipulate the public, as they have throughout this pandemic, they lose credibility.
