Milwaukee Bucks executive Alex Lasry announced his candidacy on Wednesday for Wisconsin's U.S. Senate seat currently held by GOP Senator Ron Johnson. Thirty-three year-old Lasry is the second Democratic candidate to enter the race, which is expected to be one of the most competitive in 2022. Johnson hasn't announced yet whether he'll seek another term, but Lasry sharply criticized Johnson's time in office.

Comments:

Lasry’s family are Clinton people with shady hedge fund money from Eastern European oil and gas among other things. Knows Wisconsin out the limousine window that drives him from private jet to luxury box. More money than Zeus.

The criminality of the NBA and everyone associated with that enterprise needs to be expunged from all American politics. Any influence they (the NBA) have had on America has been to the country's detriment. Ever since Latreen Spreewell (7' 2") choked PJ Carlissimo (5' 9") and then returned 20 mins later and choked him again and the NBA Players' assoc. backed him; there's been no improvement.

The thug was Latrell Sprewell. Regardless, do not vote for any Democrat because to them, it’s all about winning and to hell with the rest of us.

oh, good, another commie enters the Senate race on the demcom ticket. he will make some kind of understandable statement to justify the sins and bad decisions made by the NBA at some time, right? the former staff members of Pravda are writing it up as we speak. don't watch ANY so-called professional sports and, from the looks of it, will go to my grave feeling the same way I do right now.

Given that the NBA is a servant of the Chinese Communist Party, I wouldn't trust this guy to be anything but a shill for China, and an extreme leftist. That's without knowing anything except that he is part of the NBA.

Gee. I'd trust a strip club or porn shop owner before an NBA executive.

We don't need anybody from the NBA. I noticed the NBA was still playing games when Texans had no electricity or water. What a heartless bunch of socialist creeps that care more about China than Americans.

The Pope has appointed progressive Newark Cardinal Joseph Tobin to the Vatican’s bishop-making panel. Why does this matter? Phil Lawler explains: Let’s suppose that a man you know accidentally makes public a Twitter message that was obviously supposed to be read by only one person. The message reads: “Nighty-night, baby. I love you.” The man who sent that message is not married. What do you conclude? Right. Now further suppose that the man in question is a celibate priest. In fact, a cardinal of the Catholic Church. Does that alter your conclusion?

Pharma honchos cashed out nearly half a billion dollars in stock as their companies raced to develop life-saving coronavirus vaccines, a new report says. Executives and directors at 13 firms working on vaccines — including Pfizer, Moderna and Novavax — collectively sold more than 8.5 million shares worth about $496 million last year, according to the Wall Street Journal. The pace of those sales nearly doubled from 2019, when insiders at the same companies dumped 4.7 million shares worth roughly $132 million, the paper reported Wednesday,

Former congressman Jason Chaffetz says he is open to running against Sen. Mitt Romney in Utah. With a smile on his face, the retired politician told Fox News host Sean Hannity, "Yea, I would," when asked Monday evening about a primary challenge against Romney just days after the GOP senator voted a second time to convict former President Donald Trump on an article of impeachment. Chaffetz represented Utah's 3rd Congressional District from 2009 to 2017, and served as chairman of the Oversight Committee for the final couple of years. After retiring, Chaffetz joined Fox News as a contributor.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Monday that former President Donald Trump could play a “constructive” role for Republicans after his acquittal for allegedly inciting the Capitol riot. “I don’t rule out the prospect that [Trump] may well be supporting good candidates,” McConnell (R-Ky.) told the Wall Street Journal when asked what role he saw for Trump in GOP politics. “I’m not assuming that, to the extent the former president wants to continue to be involved, he won’t be a constructive part of the process.”

Out walking before it was quite dark enough to draw the curtains, I was struck by how many solitary figures were slumped at windows of bedrooms and kitchens. None was looking at the red-gold sky. Instead, they were staring at laptops and no doubt, like me, they had spent most of the day doing just that. A cultural change with immense implications is already under way, and only being hastened by Covid-19. It is not just about remote working. It is about the huge disparity between the power and influence of tech companies and what we still think of as governments.

In 2010, the U.S. Department of Defense found thousands of its computer servers sending military network data to China—the result of code hidden in chips that handled the machines’ startup process. In 2014, Intel Corp. discovered that an elite Chinese hacking group breached its network through a single server that downloaded malware from a supplier’s update site. And in 2015, the Federal Bureau of Investigation warned multiple companies that Chinese operatives had concealed an extra chip loaded with backdoor code in one manufacturer's servers.

There is nothing Republican or conservative about becoming prostitutes for the Democratic Party. Period. Also, why?

Mitt Romney is a spring chicken. At a sprightly 73, the GOP’s 2012 nominee is: one year younger than the outgoing president and 2024 frontrunner, five years younger than both the incumbent president and the Senate minority leader, and seven years younger than the Speaker of the House. In the uppermost echelons of American government, only the Senate majority leader—boy wonder Chuck Schumer—is any younger, and only by three years.

Bishop Robert W. "I do not see how depriving the president or other political leaders of Eucharist based on their public policy stance can be interpreted in our society as anything other than the weaponization of Eucharist and an effort not to convince people by argument and by dialogue and by reason, but, rather, to pummel them into submission on the issue," Bishop McElroy said.

But there’s only so long that they can hold this off. And it’s getting worse, as video today revealed. Biden was holding an event to announce the nomination

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
