The head of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has publicly reminded the new President Biden that policies he’s pledged to “in the areas of abortion, contraception, marriage, gender ‘would advance moral evils and threaten human life and dignity.’”
Of course this was too much for Chicago’s Cardinal Blase Cupich, who angrily complained that the USCCB dared to issue this “ill-considered statement on the day of President Biden’s inauguration.” The cardinal has been a mouthpiece for the Democratic Party, and no doubt thinks that attention on Biden’s lapsed moral positions should be off limits no matter what day it is.

As a Catholic long disgusted by my Church's hierarchy (there still are plenty of decent priests and nuns who remember why they joined) I am delighted with this article!!!!! Granted St. Matthew's in D.C. can't throw Biden out on his ass (and I certainly hope they didn't offer him Communion) but they are seating a man on Sunday (along with his sleazy son Hunter....what IS on that hard drive in terms of sex shots...everyone who has seen them says they are disgusting) who. with no apology, has just ushered in abortion up to the minute before birth. And I am sure any baby who survives is put into a back room (Obama voted for this in Illinois by the way) to dry slowly of dehydration. AND THE CHURCH LETS HIM GET PUBLICITY FOR ATTENDING MASS!!!!!!!!!!!! What total hypocrites! It is one thing to forgive the sinner, but that is when the sinner REPENTS. Instead, Biden and the Press are using Mass as an endorsement.

The 2nd biggest cowards in this country are the Republican Senators. The biggest cowards are, with very few exceptions, the Catholic bishops.

Do people know that Jill is not Catholic? She is a Presbyterian. Not that this makes him less of a Catholic, but it isn't widely reported. As for Joe's Catholicism, he has bent with the political winds.

The Babylon Bee says it best:
WASHINGTON, D.C.—President Joe Biden doubled-down on his Catholic faith and his pro-abortion policies Sunday. “Let me be clear,” he said to reporters as he exited Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown. “If you’re not okay with women aborting their babies, then you ain’t Catholic, Jack!”
Biden then reiterated that pro-life views have no place in the modern Catholic church. “If you want to honor unwed mothers and little babies, the Catholic church is not the place for you,” he said. “And I’m sure if the Virgin Marley were still alive, she would tell you the exact same thing.”
A Vatican spokesperson refused to comment on Biden’s views, stating a long-standing church tradition of not publicly commenting on the theology of Catholic Democrat politicians. “We call it the Kennedy doctrine,” the spokesperson said. “It’s a policy that has served us quite well for many years.”

I don't think the Bishops are cowards. I think they are politicians (have you ever noticed, by the way, that they have no contact # or email so "the sheep" can connect and share their feelings re: THEIR Church?) and that the end justifies the means, though the end hurts us and them as well....they can virtues signal to their hearts' content. (Our local SSND motherhouse (and I was taught by SSND's) had a huge banner up here in Ct. saying they are "for Immigrants"..........someone either pointed out that they should make that LEGAL Immigrants or more likely some Catholic, in fury, ripped the massive thing down. At least they have had the common sense not to put it back up.). I think the Bishops are stuck on being PRINCES OF THE CHURCH and have totally lost touch....or don't give a damn.....re: the flock........otherwise why would they have pushed pedophile priests from parish to parish to prey on children.

Biden is definitely not a Catholic follower, but neither are most Catholics.

Like the US Government, the Catholic Church still has one or two persons of courage in its ranks. Both, however, have obviously been corrupted by money and power.

I'm 70 and a lifelong Catholic. I will be one till I die. I am edified by the holiness of priests and fellow Catholics who stick with their faith come what may. Not so much by bishops. There are some good ones, but they are not in the public eye. As for Biden - I would not receive communion if I held his views. I have too much respect and reverence for the sacrament to do what he does.

Here is what Biden said in a 1974 interview with the Washingtonian (by Kitty Kelly), when he was still his own man: "I don’t like the Supreme Court decision on abortion. I think it went too far. I don’t think that a woman has the sole right to say what should happen to her body."

Joe Biden professes to be a lifelong Catholic. He says his religion "informs" him. He is 78. For more than 70 years he has been able to read. Certainly by the age of eight he was able to pay attention to Catholic Mass and follow the words of a missile. The Mass always begins with readings from the Old Testament and progresses to the Gospels of the New Testament. The readings always include the Responsorial Psalm, which borrows the central theme of that Mass' verse from the Book of Psalms, read minutes earlier (e.g. "The Lord is my shepherd), and is a public acclamation for the assembled congregants. In 70 years there are 3,649 Sundays of readings from the Book of Psalms and Responsorial Psalms. (I could include to the total annual Holy Days of Obligation, on which Catholics are also supposed to attend Mass.) As Joe might say, "Here is the deal:" Any so-called Catholic who after all that time thinks psalm is pronounced "palm" is a fraud. Period. To borrow a line from the Music Man: "He is a fake, and he doesn't know the territory."

I don't understand why faithful Catholics stay silent. My goodness, start writing or calling the bishops. They are not God.

Joe Biden is such a "Catholic" that he didn't even contribute 1 dollar to his "parish" per his 2019 tax returns he released. He did however, give $1200 to another non-Catholic church.

#3, Jill is a divorced Presbyterian, and Dementia Jo married her in a ceremony led by a Catholic priest.
The Catholic Church doctrine holds that any divorced person who was married in any Christiasn denomination ceremony, cannot marry a Catholic in a Catholic ceremony.
Apparently, such rules do not apply to Dementia Jo and his adulteress wife.

Joe Biden is our own Henry VIII. Looks like he wants to remake the Church in his image. He (and other high-profile Catholic politicians) will cause a schism in the Church if the bishops don't wake up and address this. I believe that Christ forgives all of us if we are truly sorry for our sins; however, this man knows what is right and still persists in sinning and leading others to sin; yet he receives Eucharist. Something major wrong there. His priest and/or bishop needs to have a private chat with him.

#15 - "The Catholic Church doctrine holds that any divorced person who was married in any Christian denomination ceremony, cannot marry a Catholic in a Catholic ceremony."
This is incorrect. A divorced non-Catholic can marry a Catholic within the Church's Sacrament of Matrimony. However, the non-Catholic is required to submit to an investigation of their prior marriage(s) by the Diocesan Marriage Tribunal. The Sacrament of Matrimony is conveyed by the persons making their vows, the priest is only the witness for and gives the blessing of the Church. The Church is not interested in what happened during the previous marriage, but whether one or both parties misrepresented themselves and their intentions at the altar.
The investigations include lengthy, detailed and very personal questionnaires. Ex spouses are generally not inclined to be cooperative and other witnesses must be found. If multiple marriages are involved the investigations can become very costly. People don't "bribe" the Catholic Church for annulments, they pay for the investigations. As marriage is a Sacrament, the Church needs to confirm that the parties before them understand the life-long commitment they are now taking on.
The Biden's are many things, but are not adulterers in the eyes of the Catholic Church.

Cardinal CupeyDoll promotes scandal. He promotes division and confusion. So does Frankie. When will the punishment come to those clerics who do not teach Jesus Christ? A priest friend of mine told me that the "road to hell is paved with the skulls of bad priests, clerics" like Cardinal Cupey Doll.

...and why doesn't the Catholic church speak out? MONEY. "They" fear IRS will cut of their exemption. So. I make my donation to my church only for maintenance, repairs, and insurance. That way the money stays in the Parish rather than going to some diocesean check book.
