Twitter Sued by Child Sex Trafficking Victim

Original Article

A sex trafficking victim has filed a lawsuit against Twitter in a U.S. district court in California, alleging that the social media giant knowingly received and distributed child pornography from which it could benefit. According to the court filing, John Doe said he was solicited and recruited for sex trafficking as a minor. After his escape, material depicting his abuse was disseminated on Twitter. “When Twitter was first alerted to this fact and John Doe’s age, Twitter refused to remove the illegal material and instead continued to promote and profit from the sexual abuse of this child,” the plaintiffs allege.

This poor kid needs to take Twitter for every penny that they are worth, and a few billion more!!!!! Let's ban President Trump immediately because he said some mean words, but lets leave the child pornography rape videos out there as "free speech". Yeah, that is lie-beral "logic" for you!!!

Lawsuits now trying to accomplish what prosecutors used to do, back when there were prosecutors who actually tried to enforce the laws. It was a quaint time when cops arrested criminals, prosecutors tried them and sent them to prison to protect ordinary citizens from crime. Remember it, you can tell your grandchildren about how it was, since they will never know it from living it.

Hopefully this kid will get a lot of money. Hire the attorney who won the case against the Indian activist. Lin something. $$$ will not make up what this kid has endured and even if he settles it should be for a horrendous amount. Section 230 has to be removed, which McConnell opposed it. I assume the geeky red haired CEO who whined 'it was speech oppression' touched his heart. Right !!

If you were writing a techno-thriller, you’d give your hero a backstory like Blake Hall’s. He’s a Harvard MBA, an alumnus of McKinsey & Co.’s ultracompetitive summer associate program, and comes from a family with a proud military tradition. He’s a decorated Army Ranger who saw action in Iraq (snip) So this past June, when he very publicly claimed that his company, ID.me, a player in the booming online identity-verification business, had uncovered one of the biggest heists in U.S. history—a $400 billion theft of pandemic unemployment payments perpetuated by cybercriminal gangs—it came with a certain veneer of credibility.

When law enforcement touted foiling a months-long kidnapping plot of Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in October 2020 that spanned several states and included encrypted chats and explosives, many believed it was an open-and-shut case. But more than a year later, critics say the arrest and convictions of the lead FBI agent and an FBI confidential informant blurred the line between extremist and confidential informant. Moreover, three planned witnesses have been accused of crimes and won't be testifying in the March 8 trial in Grand Rapids as defense attorneys question the FBI's credibility.

Rooftop solar companies aren’t exactly starting out the new year with the sun shining on their faces. Shares of residential solar companies Sunrun and Sunnova have fallen 19% and 14%, respectively, since the California Public Utilities Commission put subsidies for rooftop solar—known as net metering—on the chopping block in December. The commission plans to vote on Jan. 27 after taking public comments. Florida is also considering legislation that would cut such subsidies. The shock to their share prices isn’t surprising given that the two rooftop solar companies don’t yet generate a profit; their shares trade largely on growth prospects.

The 17-month delay between a search warrant that secured longtime CNN producer John Griffin’s devices in Vermont and an arrest on child trafficking charges shows that feds "don’t give a da-- about these kind of cases," according to a former FBI agent turned whistleblower who has taken the bureau to task for years. "He obviously is a sexual predator, and has gone from grooming children into actually ‘capturing’ them," said Jane Turner, a former FBI special agent who blew the whistle on the FBI’s mishandling of child sex crime cases in North Dakota’s Native American reservations. California is set to adopt new math teaching principles that are based in critical race theory. These changes, which include deemphasizing calculus and pulling programs for academically gifted students, will "apply social justice principles to math lessons." These guidelines do not instruct educators to teach critical race theory, but rather use critical race theory as a guide for the formation of teaching principles. Critical race theory is not being taught to students, but taught to teachers, who are then meant to use it to formulate their own practices.

The CDC has officially moved the goalposts on what it means to be vaccinated from COVID-19. We all knew this day was coming, even as an onslaught of “fact-checkers” assured us it was “misinformation” to assert such a change was coming publicly. But first, let’s talk about the details. CDC Dir. Rochelle Walensky appeared on CBS News and shared the news that the two-dose regiment will no longer suffice to be considered “fully vaccinated.” Instead, you will need a booster jab in order to be classified as “up to date.” That comes as part of a “pivot” in language by the government, one that many were maligned for predicting.

But that’s not enough to satisfy the progressives who remain outraged that she wouldn’t agree to torpedo the filibuster to ram through her party’s voting bills. Today, state party leaders will host a vote of either “disapproval” or censure, depending on the mood of the members.
