Waving Goodbye to

My generation believed in the United States. We believed in its respect for the individual, in its Constitution, in its status as the only benign superpower in history. In other words, we believed in American exceptionalism. (snip) All that seems to be changing. As we move into 2021, to borrow from Shakespeare, something is rotten. It is difficult to pinpoint the origin or the exact nature of America's disintegration. It developed a head of steam when a man who hates this country, Barack Obama, was elected president.

Alcoholics have to hit bottom before they are ready to get sober and stay that way. God is allowing this country to hit bottom. How long it will take before we are ready to get sober is anyone’s guess. For some hitting bottom means the bottom of a casket in a grave. The bottom for this country could be fatal as well. What is needed is GOD. The Gift Of Desperation.

There will never be another Republican President or meaningful presence in the Senate. Well Done GOP. You just killed your party AND the nation as we knew it. The foundational ethos of the US is Beat The System, and it was just proved in this election cycle. We have an illegitimate government, because we have a corrupt society. A place where degeneracy is celebrated, where language has no meaning, where evil is good and good people are evil, is in the end stages of gangrene. I am sad to be alive and powerless in these times.

My big fear beyond the politics of the Democrats is that Biden is just not up to this job. He appears weak, feeble and mentally frail. How is he going to handle negotiations with North Korea, Iran and China? He cannot delegate everything. He has a lot to handle with many foreign policy challenges, helping Americans to get vaccinated and getting the economy moving as well as the many agenda items that the progressives want with higher taxes, more regulation, gun control, etc. If I could, I really would move to another country through the four years of Biden.. It is almost impossible to do this with the virus. My hope was the Republicans would win the two Georgia Senate races and put some roadblocks before Biden.

One of my biggest worries is Kamala Harris who is a liar and a cheat. She will be President sooner rather than later. Biden is not physically or mentally capable of being the leader of the free world. He is a figurehead. All we need to do is figure who is telling him what to say and do. George Soros? The Communist Party of China? BLM? Antifa? It is scary.

The United States of America is simply a name for a specific geographic location. The ideals and philosophy that created this country are rapidly fading if not altogether lost. If today's activities to contest the electoral votes fail then this country will enter a horrendous dark age. Thank your neighbors and friends who are democrats, thank your sons and daughters who are democrats and Never Trumpers for contributing to the "remaking" of America sans Liberty, Freedom and Individualism.

Good article, but I must take exception to its premise. The false premise is obvious from the very title. The problems we must now endure have arisen from 2 aspects of this. 1) Millions of foreigners, who never KNEW this America. They came for what they can acquire. Some by earning...but far too many from parasitizing the American taxpayers. 2) Even more millions, a sizeable portion of at least the most recent generation have had their minds full of toxic disinformation...disguised as 'higher education'...and now, K-12 as well. SO, some of us must say goodbye; millions never even said hello.

Since God, Jesus, the Bible and church are no longer a part of most people's lives, you have Sodom and Gomorrah. Sin, sin, sin is all around us, everywhere. God said, "You want it, you got it." Is Kamala Harris jumping ship? Sure looks like it, now that Congress is talking up the 25th Amendment to remove doddering Joe Biden from office for incapacitation amid the biggest foreign policy catastrophe since the Saigon embassy rooftop evacuation of 1975. Suddenly, Kamala doesn't seem to want to be anywhere near old Joe. Although the White House had intended to keep Biden under wraps for as long as possible, the demand that he say something – anything – about the unfolding debacle in Afghanistan forced him to leave Camp David for a 20-minute statement, after which he refused to take any questions. The important part of what he said boils down to one sentence: We had to leave and everything that went wrong was Trump’s or the Afghans' fault. Biden is a craven coward, a feckless fool, a dismal dummy, and a man who will soon have more blood on his hands than a thousand Lady Macbeths.

Afghanistan is a disaster of untold dimensions. It's a story so big it's actually drawing mainstream media interest, given the monumental scale of failure from our country's sorry leadership. But nothing beats this analysis from a CNN contributor who blasts Joe Biden to smithereens in the most damning presentation of facts so far. That CNN would publish this is almost as newsworthy as the unfolding Afghanistan fiasco. Peter Bergen is an old war correspondent who was onto bin Laden back in the 1990s and actually interviewed the monster. He knows his stuff. Prosecutors in the cases against the January 6 demonstrators are starting to run into some judicial pushback: Questions about exculpatory evidence in their possession not turned over as the law demands, lower courts assessing the defendant as more dangerous than the evidence warranted, and most significantly, whether the prosecution is overcharging defendants with the federal crime of obstruction. Most of the defendants are charged with knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted area -- a fancy way of saying trespassing. Defendants are entitled to see before pleading to the charges any materially exculpatory evidence

My takeaway was how cold, and hard, and compassionless Biden was as he sought to extricate himself from the catastrophe of his own making. He blamed everyone but himself for his failure, particularly the Afghan army. He smarmily assured terrified Afghanis left behind he'd now speak out for their human rights instead of actually protect them. He effectively told U.S. servicemembers their service was for nothing.
