Today, violent radicals stormed the U.S. Capitol Building after the conclusion of President Donald Trump’s speech at what is likely to be the final rally he’ll hold in the city. In the end, one woman was shot and killed, parts of the building were damaged, and a lot of morons made fools of themselves. Nothing of value was actually accomplished because that obviously wasn’t the goal of the perpetrators. Instead, any possible debate on election integrity will be shelved for the foreseeable future. In fact, most of the elected officials who were set to object to the electoral college certification today have backed out.
Let’s face it. As bad as we’ve all known the mainstream media to be, it has become even worse and shows no signs of correction. As much or more than any electoral fraud that happens, the media’s deliberate cover-ups help Democrats. The media’s cover-ups helped Joe Biden slip past real, factual reporting on his son’s (and thereby his own) financial connections to the Chinese Communist Party. That’s no small thing. Biden is still likely to become president, at least in title.

The cities burned, police stations with cops still inside were torched, stores were looted, lasers blinded police officers, Molotov cocktails were served up in riots nearly every night of the spring, summer, and fall. Courthouses and federal buildings were assaulted. The media and Democrats called the rioters “mostly peaceful.”
District attorneys set rioters free, Kamala Harris sent bail money, and the only ones complaining about it were … us and Trump.
If only the nation would have come together – the Left joining the Right – to denounce the violence when it happened, I believe we would not have seen the disgraceful and outrageous scenes

Good grief, I go away for a day, listen to sports talk radio, music, and podcasts on political philosophy in my car driving back home all day from LA because I was too depressed about the Georgia election outcome to want to hear the news, and discover that all this happened.

A female Air Force vet and Trump supporter from California has been identified as the protester killed in the Capitol building Wednesday. Ashli Babbit, who was married and lived around San Diego, was fatally shot in the chaos, her husband told KUSI-TV. She had 14 years in the service and done four tours of duty, the station said. Her husband called her a major President Trump supporter. Ilhan Omar, a frequent critic and frequent target of President Donald Trump, announced she was drawing up articles of impeachment against the president following supporters infiltrating the Capitol Wednesday. "I am drawing up articles of impeachment," she tweeted. "Donald J. Trump should be impeached by the House of Representatives & removed from office by the United States Senate. We can't allow him to remain in office, it's a matter of preserving our Republic and we need to fulfill our oath." President Trump was successfully impeached by the House in early 2020. The temporary lock reflects Trump's violation of the Twitter rules, the company said.

A pipe bomb was found at the headquarters of the Republican National Committee (RNC) in Washington, DC, as pro-Trump rioters stormed the US Capitol on Wednesday, The New York Times reported. Also on Wednesday afternoon, a suspicious package was found at the nearby headquarters of the Democratic National Committe (DNC), The Times said.
The explosive device at the RNC was destroyed by a bomb squad, according to The Times, citing an RNC official. A Democrat told The Times anonymously that the contents of the package had not yet been identified.

Amid chaos at the U.S. Capitol, one woman was shot in the neck and has succumbed to her injuries. Video shows the woman, wearing a Trump flag, falling to the ground and becoming limp after she was shot in the chest. The woman was transported away from the Capitol just before 3 p.m. It’s not yet clear who fired the shot.

Georgia’s largest county is stopping ballot processing and tabulation for the day after supporters of President Donald Trump stormed the U.S. Capitol in Washington. Fulton County spokeswoman Jessica Corbitt said Wednesday that tabulation in Georgia’s two U.S. Senate runoffs was halted “out of an abundance of caution.” “We have also closed all of our offices in downtown Atlanta,” Corbitt said. The U.S. Capitol Police on Wednesday locked down the Capitol building and evacuated multiple congressional buildings amid increasingly violent protests outside.
Buildings being evacuated included the Library of Congress's Madison Building across from the Capitol as well as the Cannon House office building. In an alert sent to Hill staffers, police ordered occupants of the Madison building to "move in a safe manner to the exits" and "close doors behind you but do not lock."

Ninety Republicans have committed to objecting to electoral votes during the joint session of Congress on Jan. 6, according to an Epoch Times tally.
That includes 13 senators.

(Snip) Objections must be in writing and have the support of at least one senator and one representative. An objection triggers a withdrawal from the joint session and a two-hour debate, followed by a vote. A majority vote in each chamber votes upholds an objection, which would nullify the contested electoral votes.
Here's a question: since the U.S. Constitution provides for the legislatures of each respective state to choose their representing electors to the Electoral College, with the U.S. as a constitutional republic, not a democracy...what happens when, internal to the state, that process breaks down? Whether by state executives violating their own state law to change the conduct of the election to countermand the legislatively approved laws or by those same legislatively approved laws being usurped by judges, the final result is an inaccurate count of the votes cast.

Democrat Jon Ossoff declared victory Wednesday morning in one of the two Georgia Senate runoff elections despite the race remaining uncalled.
“Georgia, thank you so much for the confidence that you have placed in me. I am honored, honored by your support, by your confidence, by your trust, and I will look forward to serving in the United States Senate with integrity, with humility, with honor, and getting things done for the people of Georgia,” Ossoff said in a video message posted on Twitter.

A heavily Democratic county in Georgia said Wednesday morning that it was having technical issues with thousands of ballots in the razor-close U.S. Senate runoffs. DeKalb County, a majority Black suburb of Atlanta, says its remaining 19,000 ballots will have to be manually scanned. “Due to technical issues, the remaining 19,000 ballots must be manually scanned in order to be tabulated and added to the total vote count,” Erica Hamilton, the county’s voter registration and elections director, said in a statement. She said that “Georgia’s voting system provides built-in safeguards, in the form of paper ballots that allow us to quickly process ballots that are electronically cast.”

There’s currently unrefuted evidence that this happened to Trump in both Georgia and Pennsylvania. Now, there’s evidence (which still needs to be corroborated) that it happened to David Perdue in his race against the Democrat nonentity, Jon Ossoff. (snip) There is no such thing as a “negative” or “-1” ballot. That is, I don’t hand in a ballot that says. “Not Candidate A” and then watch a vote subtracted from Candidate A’s tally.

A man suspected in a string of random assaults on women at a Brooklyn subway station was arrested Tuesday and charged with a slew of hate crimes, authorities said. Khari Covington, 29, is accused of attacking nine women in separate instances in East Williamsburg since last August, according to police. Seven of the alleged assaults occurred in transit—mainly at the Morgan Avenue subway station—while two were committed nearby on street level, police said. Macy’s said Tuesday it will close its store in Water Tower Place as it trims its roster of department stores across the country to adjust to online shopping.
“The decision to close a store is always a difficult one, and Macy’s Water Tower Place has been honored to serve its customers on the Magnificent Mile for 45 years,” said Andrea Schwartz, senior director of media relations. The store was damaged during looting sprees last summer.
Schwartz said the decision stems from a store review Macy’s began in early 2020, which she noted was before COVID-19 and civil unrest disrupted retail operations.
A judge ordered Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio to stay out of Washington D.C. after the 36-year-old was charged Monday for allegedly destroying a Black Lives Matter banner taken from the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church during protests on Dec. 12. D.C. Superior Court Magistrate Judge Renee Raymond released Tarrio on Tuesday, ordering him to stay outside the district until his next hearing, scheduled for June.

Meanwhile, with Perdue and Ossoff tied, counting has stopped in Chatham County. We know what that means. They’re finding votes for Ossoff, a leftist nonentity. As matters now stand, despite Trump’s overwhelming coattails on down-ballot votes across America, Biden is poised to take the White House, the Democrats will control the Senate, and Nancy Pelosi and her squad are the Queen and princesses of the House. We are facing a hard-left, one-party federal government.

Helen Viola Jackson, the last known surviving widow of a Civil War veteran, has died at the age of 101. Her death was confirmed by the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War on Monday.
Jackson died last month at Webco Manor Nursing Home in Marshfield, Missouri, according to the Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival. A play about Jackson’s life was performed at the 2019 Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival.
Jackson was age 17 when she married James Bolin, who was 93 years old at the time of the marriage. Bolin and Jackson were married for three years before his passing in 1939. Bolin reportedly fought on the Union side of the war.
