If a Chicago low life POS can pack heat, why can’t a duly elected congresswoman In order to protect herself from some DC low life POS?

She has the right to protect herself. UNTIL the libs vote for gun control which takes all of our rights away. Then we are screwed.

The police chief wants to make sure she knows the law in DC. Oh, we are enforcing laws now? I didn't know that.

It's not a decision that must be deliberated for long. What do you trust, our current version of donut-munching "law enforcement" or what you carry inside your jacket?

FTA: 'On Saturday, Boebert appeared to score a victory, as new rules unveiled by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not appear to include a proposed ban on firearms in the Capitol.' The hag knows she wouldn't dare go without armed body-guards...anywhere.

She should follow Federal, and DC law when she is in DC. She is from Rifle, Colorado, where local gun laws are very different then in DC. If she does not follow DC law, the leftist and liberal Democrats in Congress will impeach her and remove her from Congress, as soon as she is found to have violated DC law and would be very happy to do that.

Pretty sure that a prior article stated that members of congress are not subject to concealed carry restrictions in DC and may carry if they so desire.

Most police chiefs welcome concealed carry.

Smart, brave lady. I have driven right past her restaurant in Rifle, next time I am there, I will definitely stop in and get something to eat. Best wishes to her.

#9, that is a highly questionable claim. Many police chiefs are purely political appointees and do whatever the prevailing political winds tell them to do. I would agree with your claim if you said "county sheriffs", since they are directly elected, but even there, in the NE and Left Coast crazy zones, I'll bet that a lot of county sheriffs are elected by antigun folks and are therefore anti-gun. IIRC, the San Diego sheriff was against CCW, and SD is one of the more conservative areas of Cali, or at least used to be, perhaps not as much any more. The more rural the county, the higher the probability that the sheriff will be pro gun rights. I'll bet that essentially all police chiefs in the NE and Left Coast are against concealed carry.

2A was very clearly written so we the people can keep and bear the same weapons the government (military) has so that “when government becomes destructive of those ends it is the right of the people to alter or abolish that government” it will be a fair fight.
