Jill Biden Wants Us to Call Her 'Dr.’ So
Here's a Look at Her Ed.D ‘Position

Media, Democrats, and Jill Biden’s team have all been insistent upon calling Jill Biden “Dr.” She received an Ed.D not a Ph.D and is not a medical doctor.
Now, it’s common for people who have doctorates to use them in the academic setting, although usually they don’t in the rest of their lives. That’s generally considered pretentious.
But I frankly didn’t care whether she used the term or not until they went after an academic, Joseph Epstein, who mentioned the normal standard and how, while she has the doctorate, she really shouldn’t use it in the rest of her life.
(Snip) that’s his opinion and he’s entitled

If any good is to come from this, maybe the diminution of the Education Industrial Complex.
The wife was a career grade school teacher, her associates that expected to be called doctor were all pretty much jackasses.

I agree with the opinion that a doctorate of this type should only be used in the educational system. It has no significance anywhere else. People do not address lawyer as James Smith J.D., or accountants as James Worth CPA, and many thanks for not doing that.

The writing is no surprise - when I was in graduate school, too many classes required group projects and reports. I always volunteered to edit the final paper and spent hours rewriting the final report. She's in the same cohort as my former classmates. Content-wise, her paper is a blinding glimpse of the obvious.

As someone who has a Ph.D. (Piled higher and Deeper), the only times I was introduced as a Doctor was when we were trying to impress customers with our knowledge. When I wrote my thesis it was reviewed by my advisor, my wife (an English major) and the secretary who typed it. They were instrumental in correcting all sorts of errors from grammatical to technical. I have to believe that Jill got a pass because her husband was a sitting Senator.

It is clear to me that bimbo adulteresses don't learn much stuff in college.
Allow me to point out the danger in the person of "Dr." Jill.
Remember how Barack's husband, Michelle, went after school lunches? Michelle, a failed lawyer with an undergraduate degree in African American Studies, meddled with our diets, when she had no special knowledge about the matter. Garbage can contents measured her ineffectiveness.
Dementia Jo has already pimped out his adulterous wife as a skilled promoter of community colleges. But her writing indicates to me that she is not very bright, and is full of herself. She dropped out of undergraduate school to hitch her lady parts to a football player, then chose to seduce a dimwitted politician while married to the football player. (and according to her first husband, her lady parts were engaging Dementia Jo even before his wife was killed.) Her first husband dumped her because of that.
Jill will now go careening into the policy issues surrounding community colleges, and she ain't too bright, a conclusion one could draw from her writing skills and her policy perceptions. She will meddle with the Education Department efforts on supporting community colleges, and I predict she will be as bad for community colleges as Michelle Obola was for school lunches.
No good can come from this dimwitted duo -Dementia Jo, roaming the halls of the White House, wearing one slipper, pants unzipped, having imaginary conversations with his father, and Dim Bulb Jill, engaging in deep thought about how to do percentages. Math is hard, but not that hard.
But we do have backup for Dementia Jo - his running mate, the Indian-Jamaican-Canadian with the hysterical hyena demented laugh. They are quite the team.
Lord hep us.

I've never heard Doctor Jill speak or read from a teleprompter. But I've heard a few commencement addresses. They all sound the same. You sit there waiting for people to get their sheepskins and you silently thank gawd it's over. They always end with "I challenge you to change the world." I assume the DJ uses the motto of Faber College: Knowledge is Good.

As this moment I am grading final papers for Master's students in education. Jill's writing is sloppy - actually, her thinking is sloppy. She would not get a passing grade from me. Sad to say, this is par for the course in Ed.D. programs. And I can vouch for the fact that it would be acceptable in some Ph.D. programs, too. Jill herself will never know how idiotic this makes her look.

FWIT, within the past few months, there was a television clip or still photo showing Joe Biden with his wife in their residence with a plaque or sign that may have been for their house address that read, “Dr. Jill Biden & Vice President Joe Biden.” Proper etiquette would be, “The Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden.”
There is an old adage that goes, “Some people are intoxicated with the exuberance of their own verbosity.” Perhaps it is possible for some people to be intoxicated with the exuberance of their own PhD egotism.

Addressing a PhD as "doctor" in an academic or similar professional environment, like in delivering a the results of one's research and analysis at a professional forum in nuclear physics or geophysical engineering, for example, is quite proper, given that the root of the latin word, doctor, means "scholar." A medical doctor is a physician. Many physicians also hold PhDs in specialty areas and it is becoming more common for physicians to also hold MBAs, given the heavy emphasis on insurance and government compliance related topics that burden the medical professionals.
Real PhDs are required to demonstrate original research and rigorous analytical methodology in a dissertation. That is a world away from Biden's "position paper," which I read and found to be decidedly non-scholarly and more like a 10th grade book report. In reading her drivel, Jill Biden basically uses academic citations of previous works in a manner that mimics her husband's knack for plagiarism. She over-cites Cohen & Brawer (2003) by adopting the lines of thought in their work as her own. For example, her first citation of C&B is on her page 7 and she cites their pages 1, 6, 7, 13, and 20, in a linear manner. She does the same with Witt et. al., citing their pages 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 11 and 14, all in her initial eight pages. She also cites Witt et.al. page 96, four times, begging the question of whether she wrote an original thought in her entire paper. The work of the authors she cited is also decidedly non-scholarly, and Biden playing "follow the leader" in re-stating their light-weight book reveals her to be academically weak at best and likely dishonest in fact. She cites Koos (1924) but takes a non-scholarly shortcut in not actually reading Koos but repeating what Cohen & Brewer wrote about Koos' work. That is another give-away as to her sophomoric book report that she and Joe's press posse passes off as a reason to call her "Doctor Biden."

She has an EdD which is officially called "Doctor of Education", but is widely laughed and smirked at by anyone with a REAL grad school degree, even a Master's like mine. Regarding "The Ohio State University," I believe that the initial "The" is a relic of an old Ohio law in effect at the time of the university's naming that required all corporations to have a name beginning with the word "The." For example, "The Superior Widget Corporation." Perhaps an OSU grad could correct me if I am mistaken.

Someone from the press needs to address issue with the facts of the different degree levels and weight. Why are we so afraid of the "press"...? They act as if they are as stupid as we all assume they are. Degree structure is important. IF an EdD was as weighty as PhD then perhaps Jill could complain. However, having spent over 35 yrs around academics, higher education with all their little title conscience serfdoms, and adherence to the b.s. of it, I can tell you an EdD does not carry the same weight. And frankly, the entire education field (mostly earned) and university programs are soft and just a step above the "journalism/broadcast" degrees, which are a step above the diversity and feminists/transgender degrees. And even within the PhD programs, the arts and science degrees are less weighty than the hard science degrees, medical degrees, and engineering and finance. So, on the totem pole of "titled" degrees...EdD is not really a PhD equivalent. Do enforcing the "Dr" in front of her name is ridiculous! A lawyer receives an advance degree above the Masters level...but it is not a PhD, therefore no "Dr" in front of name. The sign of a real person who will earn respect, is the man or woman who will not be caught up with the title. A fawning, idiot press who is suck butt with the "titled" group is not worthy of our time. One cannot force another to respect oneself by forcing a title. Jill is a slug. A liar. A social climber. A disgrace. Oh, P.S., in world of "titles" I have found that they are not experts in anything, possess few people skills, and often are egotistical snobs who force themselves on people who they deem lesser intellects, and status. I know...I am a widow of 3x degreed Engineer. All degrees in advance engineering who retired after 45 yrs of teaching, owning his own business in structural engineering. He was a person, not a degree, and he was a conservative. ALL degrees earned after the 90s are just worthless, education has suffered the most. Sorry.
